Ignoring the little skeleton, who was looking around all angrily, Marius called out, "Character Profile."

"So that's why I felt a little weak in the legs," Marius rubbed his chin. Recognizing this information was beneficial, since it became clear that the more mana he used, the weaker he became.

Uncertain of when the mana would replenish, he wanted to play it safe and not carelessly overuse it.

Especially at the lower levels — use it only when needed. Being alone in a forest filled with unknown monsters, he didn't want his body to fail him if he uses too much mana.

"You! You disgusting human, I demand you look down here!"

Feeling a slight tap on his shin, Marius swiped away the system window and directed his gaze downwards, only to see his own skill, "Bony," attacking him with a wooden sword.

"How dare you summon me, mortal!? Bow before me!" Bony demanded, continuously swinging his wooden sword, showing no signs of stopping.

"What type of skill attacks their own master?" Marius asked, dumbstruck. He considered kicking the skeleton, but knowing it only had 1 hp, he realized he would probably kill it. And again, he didn't want to waste mana, so he restrained himself.

Though, he felt slightly troubled, as it got him thinking if certain skills have the potential to harm its own master, does that mean that all summoning-related skills are disloyal?

Overall, his major concern at the moment was the future, particularly the time when he would possess stronger summoning skills.

'Uh, this world is getting confusing,' Marius thought to himself. He really wanted to go home, to Earth, which isn't so complex.

"You? A human? My master?" Bony burst into laughter, dropped his wooden sword, and collapsed onto the ground, rolling around, while clutching his rib cage. "ha ha ha! Oh, you stupid human! Ha ha ha!"

How could he, the King of the Undead, ever serve a human? This was simply too funny for him, as he couldn't stop laughing.

Gradually, Bony came to a stop and wiped away his invisible tears, his laughter fading as he carefully regained his footing. "Oh, you poor human, you really are delusional."

With a sigh of resignation, Marius admitted internally that his default skill was beyond saving, leaving him no choice but to take on the Horn Rabbits single-handedly. "Whatever. I'll just complete the daily quest myself."

With a sweeping gaze of his surroundings, he spotted a small rock. Walking over, he bent down and picked it up. "This should do for the time being."

"Human, I demand you stop ignoring me!"

Bony stomped over, his eye sockets blazing, having picked back up his wooden sword, which swung back and forth. Although it caused him to lose his balance a few times, he remained upright.

He felt really offended just now. He was the ruler of all the undead, and a mere human dared ignored him, treating him with such disrespect!?

Until now, he had been extremely lenient with this entire summoning situation.

Yet, he was being ignored!? How dare this human! This was simply outrageous for Bony.

Marius looked at him with his eyebrows raised. "You are one annoying skill, you know that?"

Gasping, Bony, if he could show a face of shock, he would. "Yo-you… HOW DARE YOU, HUMAN!" Filled with anger, he raised his wooden sword high. "DIE, YOU MORTAL"

Right as he was about to strike downward, an unknown bird-looking creature unexpectedly swooped down at lightning speed, snatching the skeleton by his skull with its gripping talons.

"DAAAAAMNNNN YOOOOOUUUUUUUUUU, HUMANNNNNNNNNN!!!" The sound of Bony's scream filled the air as he rapidly dissolved into tiny blue particles, as his HP: 1/1, turned to 0/1.

In that instant, Marius was slightly startled by the sound of a voice, robotic-feminine, speaking inside his mind.

[Ding! Bony has been killed by a Vyrn]

[Cause: Gripping talons]

[Cool down: 1 second]

In a moment of near-death, Marius, with his eyes wide open, hastily prayed on his chest. "Holy shit, that was close," he muttered. He couldn't even see it coming. It just appeared.

Suddenly, his ears perked up. Alerted, he unconsciously turned around, looking upward, shielding his eyes from the sunlight. Unfamiliar bird-like creatures perched on the branches, ones he had never seen before, were letting out strange distorted noises.

As Marius got a clear view of them, a status appeared above each of the creatures.

--------------------------------------

Name: Vyrn

HP: 30 /30

Level: 3

Description: Bird-like creature known for its cunning nature. With multiple eyes that provide a wide field of vision, it can easily spot potential threats and prey. Its razor-talons can deliver a quick and deadly strike.

--------------------------------------

"Yeah, I need to get out of this god-forsaken forest…" Marius, who remained cautious about the multiple vyrns, cast a quick glance at his map and followed the red line he had placed earlier.

With a growing hunger and thirst, and a strong desire to leave the forest, he was motivated to finish the daily quest and locate a settlement on his map.

Marius felt a sudden chill down his spine and turned around to find the goddess standing right there. "When did you get behind me?"

He nearly lost his balance and fell backwards because of the surprise. He was particularly disturbed by the lifeless expression in her eyes.

The goddess inclined her head in a slight bow and said in a dead sounding voice, "nice to meet you, hero. My name is Ayla Elysium Grace. I am here to serve you."

"Yeah, like I've said before. I'm good. You can go away." With his hands, Marius attempted to shoo her away, but she refused to budge.

"I'm awaiting your order, hero." Taking it out from what appeared to be a ring on her finger, Ayla revealed a golden staff decorated with yellow gems.

Marius let out a deep sigh. He had doubts about whether she would leave him alone. After all, it seemed to be that she had been assigned to him by "IT".

'Might as well use her,' he thought.

For obvious reasons, Marius knew he would still need to be careful around her. However, since his default skill proved to be useless, he decided to rely on this goddess for his daily quest.

Then, once that is done—try to make a quick getaway.

Marius was set on abandoning the goddess, but he was also concerned about the lengths she would go to in order to locate him, and he wanted to avoid being constantly pursued.

Though he saw no harm in giving it a try.

For now, Marius figured it would best to place aside those thoughts and concentrate solely on the daily quest, which was to kill 5 Horn Rabbits.

"Alright, well, here's what we're going to do."
