Marius's face lit up with a smile when he realized that he now had a full mana pool of 15/15. The more mana you have, the happier you'll be. Without a doubt, mana held the highest authority in this game-like world.
He felt more motivated after this, as his tiredness diminished, and he felt like he was ready to speed run this daily quest.
With a flick of his finger, Marius removed the status screen and turned his attention to the goddess standing in front of him. Her face remained impassive, showing no signs of tiredness or any other emotion.
"Aren't you gonna check your status?" He asked. He expressed interest in knowing if she had earned any XP for supporting him, just so that he could enhance his knowledge. After all, he was still learning about this world.
"As you wish, hero," Ayla called out, "status."

Marius's eyes widened with each line he read. He even thought he might cough up blood seeing how she had infinite mana.
Ignoring her quests and age. For obvious reasons.
'Uh, so lucky… Why can't I be this overpowered!?' Marius screamed inside his head, mentally biting on a handkerchief.
Did he pick the wrong class? Should he have picked one of the main classes that looked overpowered?
'No. I made the right choice. It had to be a trap." Marius trusted his gut. Although he couldn't help but feel a tinge of regret, he brushed it aside and focused up, recognizing that he couldn't afford to dwell on it.
After all, it's all in the past now; he needs to concentrate on the present and future.
Suddenly, curiosity arose in Marius regarding the effect of that title. The reason she had infinite mana must have been because of that title: Goddess.
"Hey, show me the description of the title you have."
"At once, hero." Ayla clicked on the title: Goddess.

Titles:
(Goddess)
Effect: ∞ Infinite Mana ∞
Description: Because who needs a mana amount when you're divine? Enjoy activating skills to your heart's content without ever worrying about running out!

"I knew it…" Marius muttered. Despite his strong desire for the title, he doubted he would ever attain it since he was just a mortal. "Well, I bitched enough." He sighed.
He didn't wanna just stand here and cry about something he didn't have. That would be pathetic. On the contrary, he wanted to grind even more.
Going back to his earlier interest, Marius saw how the goddess received a meager 2 XP. He was still unsure if it was because she just flashed it, and if she would have got a greater amount of XP if she had inflicted damage.
'Whatever, I'll learn as I travel.'
"You can put away your status screen now," said Marius. He pulled up his map. Marking the closest Horn Rabbit,
"Right away." Ayla swiped away her status screen, then pulling out her staff.
With a crack of his fingers, Marius began following the red line. "Alright, let's finish this up…"

This time, gaining two levels, Marius allocated his two stat points to Intelligence, increasing it to 25/25. With the growing darkness and the absence of sunlight, he understood it was time to get out of this forest.
Though he noticed that he didn't get double XP for the daily quest, he called out, "titles." Where he then clicked on "Hero".
-----------------------
Titles:
(Hero)
Effect: Double XP
Description: Embrace the true essence of heroism as all experience earned from vanquishing monsters is doubled, reflecting the unwavering dedication of the chosen one!
-----------------------
"I see... Well, it's kind of balanced..." Marius sighed as he swiped away the blue screen. He also wanted double XP for quests, but you can't have everything.
Similar to the previous occasion when he leveled up, he felt his energy come back to him, presuming that leveling up was the reason he felt fully energized.
Although Marius still continued to experience feelings of hunger, thirst, and sleepiness, unfortunately.
Rising to his feet, he turned his head to the right and found himself locking eyes with the goddess. A sudden coldness ran down his back as he remembered that she hadn't blinked at all.
"Well, um, I need to take a piss. So, I'll be right back." Marius scratched his cheek, forcing a smile. Although she helped him out, he still couldn't trust her.
There was no way to discern her feelings or anything else, as her eyes and voice were devoid of life.
As Marius turned around and began walking, he recalled the mechanical voice saying: "Hero, rest assured. She is merely an emotionless servant who will assist you on your heroic journey."
Being overly fixated on the "heroic journey," he inadvertently overlooked a crucial detail until it came rushing back to him: "She is merely an emotionless servant who will assist you on your heroic journey."
As Marius pushed his way through the dense bushes and positioned himself behind a tree, he couldn't help but think that the goddess was being manipulated.
"Is it because of that collar?" he muttered to himself. He didn't feel bad or anything like that; it was more about curiosity. If he released her, wouldn't she be indebted to him? Would she know how to get him back to Earth?
He crouched down, gripping his head, feeling as if his brain were on the verge of exploding.
"Uh, I'm really asking too many questions…"
Fighting against his curiosity, as he didn't want it to get himself killed because of it. Marius came to terms that he would just have to forget about it. He still felt it was best to ditch her.
However, he knew that if she found him, somehow, he would welcome her into a party, but still be cautious and watch her closely. Cause at that point, he didn't want someone tracking him down 24/7.
The thought of killing the goddess briefly crossed his mind, but being human, he had never taken another person's life before, and he didn't know how he would react in the moment.
Shaking his head, Marius knew he was taking too much time.
So he checked his map and zoomed out to get a broader view of the area beyond the forest. He then searched for the closest settlement, whether it be a village, town, or city.
"Hmm, 4 miles of walking?" Muttered Marius as he clicked on the small village which was closest to him. "Well, Sancti Fields, here I come…"
