Alice opened the door of the bar and stepped outside where the bandits and mercenaries were waiting. The townspeople who were not involved just watching and there were even some people who placed some bets.
Alice was completely surrounded by nearly 20 armed men.
"For a woman, you're so arrogant!" shouted one of the men with a pair of scimitars as weapons.
"For a man, you're all cowards," Alice retorted, successfully igniting their rage.
"You ignorant little girls!" shouted one of the mercenaries with full armor.
"You guys, don't cry if you lose to a woman with that many men in your side," Alice's reply once again managed to ignite their wrath even more.
"Kill her!" shouted one of the bandits pointing his sword at Alice.
The group of bandits and mercenaries immediately rushed at the armored woman. Alice removed her sword and intended to fight all the men with her fist. Alice closed her eyes then sighed and took a breath before saying something.
[ Absolute foresight ].
Alice opened her eyes quickly and found a different look than before. Each person who is moving forward seems to have a faint shadow moving about 2 steps ahead of them. What the shadow did, the person immediately followed after that, they did the exact same speed and position.
It need 1.5 seconds before the man get precisely at the same location as his future shadow. It was enough time for Alice to react. She noticed their future shadows and used them as a reference to take them out one by one.
To ordinary eyes who saw was Alice, she is moving so effortlessly to avoid each attack with. Slash after slash was thrown, but Alice managed to dodge. Punch after punch was thrown, but none of them hit her.
Alice smiled slightly and decided to call it a day. She dodged every attack and then hit their lower jaws. One by one, they fell unconscious until there was no one left but the woman in armor with her blonde hair fluttering in the wind.
All the people that watching were cheering and clapping, but some were upset and slammed their helmets and sword because they lost the bet. Alice walked back into the bar and was greeted by 5 freshly baked pumpkin pies.
"Your order is ready, young lady," Nala said with her trademark thin smile.
Alice's eyes lit up and ate the dish immediately.
"You're doing great, beating that bunch of people so easily," Nala said to start the conversation.
"Not really, they're just weak," Alice replied confidently while munching on the warm pumpkin pie.
"By the way, what's your name, young lady?"
Alice smiled slightly then looked at Nala, "Alice, just call me Alice. Hehe..."
"Nice to meet you, young Alice. You're really fast and agile, despite wearing such heavy armor."
"Hehe, I've been practicing a lot." Alice replied swiftly then refocused on her food.
"But what's surprising is your ability to analyze the battle field, the ability that allows you to read your opponent's movements. It's really amazing."
Alice stopped chewing and slowly raised her face, looking at Nala with her usual expression, a thin smile on her friendly-looking face.
"How... How do you know?" Alice a bit surprised and a nervous.
"Of course I know, anyone who watched your fight would definetly know. You didn't beat them with speed alone." Nala pointed at Alice's eyes. "Because your eyes are always looking around so quickly as if you depend on it."
Alice swallowed the pie rather heavily. Nala immediately handed her a large mug filled with drinking water.
"Drink up, don't choke on it, young Alice," said Nala, offering the water then stood up and served another customer who just arrived.
'As expected, she's not an ordinary person. It feels a bit strange to see a woman as beautiful as she is, working so casually in a place like this, I should eat quickly and get out of here.' Alice thought rather frantically.
She finished her pumpkin pie and intended to paid, but Alice's panic was compounded by the fact that her money bag was missing.
"What's wrong, young Alice?" asked Nala, startling this blonde-haired woman.
"No. Nothing... I'm going to the restroom for a minute and -"
Alice couldn't stand up from her chair, it's like she is glued to the chair. When she looked down, there was a magic circle on the floor right below the chair she was sitting on.
"The restroom is in the back, but before that, can you pay first?" Nala asked without changing her characteristic look and somehow, the thin smile on that friendly face, looked scary.
Alice immediately took out an amulet and slammed it on the floor. The entire floor shook and the magic circle on the floor disappeared immediately. Alice jumped up quickly and ran towards the exit.
"Sorry, I promised I'd pay after this. I'm in a hurry!" the blonde woman shouted and the moment she touched the door, her whole body was frozen.
Alice couldn't move a finger, when she looked at her body, several loops of magic chains just bound her from toes to hands.
"Araa... Araa..., you brought a dangerous toy. You can't do that, young Alice," said Nala, did not move from her place.
'Impossible, it's a 3rd level mana field disrupting talisman, how could it be?' Alice thought in surprise as the thing she had just used, was the last resort and ultimate solution when dealing with high-class magic users.
"You said you would pay, right?" asked Nala which made Alice swallow her own saliva.
"Don't worry, you can still pay even if you don't have any money," Nala said with a thin smile that now frightened Alice.
----------------------------------------
Nala exhaled after she finished putting new clothes on Alice. The two women were in a special room that only contained a wardrobe, makeup kit and a large 2-meter mirror.
"Look, you're so cute with that ribbon. Take a look in the mirror, it matches perfectly," Nala said enthusiastically, pushing the large mirror into the front of Alice.
The blonde-haired woman could only smile awkwardly at herself wearing a maid outfit with lots of tassels and ribbons. The length of the skirt only reached slightly above the knee and made her uncomfortable.
"Do I have to wear this humiliating outfit?" asked Alice looking at the mirror then covering her face, flushed with embarrassment.
"What do you mean, young Alice? Service work is a noble social work. There's no need to be shy like that," retorted Nala who immediately pushed Alice out of the room and go towards the bar.
Alice could only cover her face while Nala pushed enthusiastically.
"You should get excited more, your fans are waiting," Nala kept pushing.
"No, no, no, don't look at me!" Alice shook her body trying to resist the push but it is useless unfortunately.
The two arrived at the bar filled with people who had been waiting for a long time.
"Let's welcome our sweet and cute new waitress, Alice!" Nala announced loudly and everyone cheered.
All the men cheered, clapped and some even whistled. Everyone was happy to welcome the new waitress, everyone except the waitress herself.
'AAAAAAAAAAA!!!! PLEASE KILL ME!!!' Alice shouted in her mind
