"3 Beers at the table number 4," Nala raised her voice.
As soon as Alice heard that, she immediately brought the order. Her outfit made all the men whistle as she walk pass them. She couldn't hide her face that was flushed with embarrassment.
"T... This... This is your order, sir," Alice said, placing 3 mugs of beer on the table.
"Hahaha, you look cute in that uniform," said one of the men sitting at the table.
Alice raised her arm, preparing to punch and all the men at the table panicked.
"Wait, wait, ma'am Nala will scold you," said the man trying to save himself.
Alice paused, hesitating to move. Her fists shook then she suddenly lowered her hands and turned her back then leave.
After a few steps, they shouted, "You forgot to say 'please enjoy the order', hehehe."
Alice entered the kitchen and sat down while sighing a few times.
"Ara... ara..., it's not time to rest yet." Nala appear out of nowhere, forcing Alice to stand straight.
"Ma'am Nala, is there no other way than this? This is too embarrassing, I can't do this for 3 days," Alice complained and at the verge of tears.
"Hmn... I guess you're right, you've been a bar maid for almost 6 hours today. That should be enough."
Alice's eyes lit up at the glimmer of hope. "So, I'm free?"
"To be a bar maid, now you're in the kitchen to cook and wash."
"Eehh...?"
Nala clapped her hand once, "Alright, time to get on with the job. Let's get moving."
Alice could only sigh heavily and headed for her next task, washing a pile of mugs and some dirty plates.
After working in the kitchen for almost 5 hours, Alice noticed a lot of things that bothered her a bit such as; there were some people ordering food but not finishing it, breaking mugs, and there were some other waitress passing by, but they didn't look like they were working at all.
It was almost midnight and time to close the bar, Nala looked at Alice who seemed a bit tired.
"It's time to close. Good job, young Alice," Nala said, giving her a round of applause.
"Ma'am Nala, why am I the only one working in the kitchen? There are so many waitress hanging around doing nothing."
"What do you mean, they're working."
"Huh? What work?"
"They work on the second floor, the prostitution floor."
Alice's eyes widened, "What floor?"
"Hmn... It seems this job is indeed really hard for you. Do you want to move and work on the second floor?"
"The prostitution floor?!"
Nala patted Alice's shoulder, "I'm just kidding, get some rest, you still have to work hard tomorrow."
Nala laughed a little but Alice really didn't know if it was a joke or not.
After a long day, Alice entered a simple 5 square meter room with only a small bed, a table and a chair.
Still in his waitress clothes, she entered and found her sword and armor stuck in the corner.
She stepping towards the window and opening it, he could see the night sky filled with stars.
When she lowered her gaze slightly, she could see that the town was rather quiet, or at least 5 minutes because she started to hear moaning sounds downstairs, right below her room.
Alice immediately lay down and pressed her face against the mattress.
"What does Shouji doing right now?" She muttered while hugging the pillow
"I miss you," Alice said with a slightly flushed face and immediately covered her face with a pillow.
-----------------------------
As the morning dawned, Alice made her way downstairs, towards the bar. She found no one but Nala, drinking a bottle of special beer with a volcano as its logo.
"Isn't it too early to drink?" asked Alice looking for a broom in the corner.
"Nothing's too early or too late for clementine beer," Nala replied a little drunkenly.
Alice wanted nothing further and decided to sweep the floor.
After only a few minutes, a man suddenly barged into the bar in a state of panic.
"The bar is still closed, just wait a moment -"
"There are intruder!" the man shouted, cutting off Nala's sentence.
Nala just smiled faintly as usual. "So? Are you that weak?"
The man couldn't answer and could only remain silent while trembling.
"Ma'am Nala, if I can defeat those people, can i be free?" shouted Alice confidently.
"Ara... Ara... young Alice, it's none of our business, we as women don't need to -"
*Crash!
Someone was thrown in through the window and hit the table and chairs. The furniture was broken, the window glass was splattered and blood stains littered the floor.
Nala lost the smile on her face. A slightly sullen face that made Alice and the man at the door tremble.
"Ma'am Nala... are you..."
"Alice!" Nala raised her voice and suddenly the blonde woman stood up straight.
"Y... Yes ma'am." Alice responded swiftly.
"Bring the leader here alive. If you do that, you won't have to work tomorrow."
"Y... Yes... Ma'am," Alice said loudly and turned towards the exit.
"Wait a minute, young Alice," Nala said which made Alice turn around and look at the Nala who was holding Alice's sword.
Nala threw the sword and Alice was confused after catching it.
"The order is to take them alive, right? In that case, I don't need a sword."
"Young Alice, I said alive, not intact."
Alice was silent, no sentence came out. Only cold sweat drenched her skin which had paled somewhat after hearing the spine-chilling order.
Alice went straight out and found many black-capped troops fighting with the townspeople who were mercenaries and bandits.
Far behind the line of hooded troops, there was a white-haired man with a long scar on his face. The man was wearing some kind of black prism-shaped necklace that emitted purple light.
The man seemed to be ordering the hooded troops around while laughing.
Alice walked towards the man, the speed of her steps slowly increasing as she passed by the people fighting each other. At first it was just a quick walk, but now she broke into a small trot, and then sprinted while brandishing her sword to slash.
[Absolute Foresight]
Alice's vision changed, she could see the future shadows of the people around her. But she didn't care about them, her target was only one. The leader.
The white-haired man immediately noticed Alice and smiled widely. Alice didn't care because the ability she had could make her win in any close combat.
The man pulled his sword from the scabbard and suddenly the man's future shadow disappeared and reappeared in a different place and direction, as if the flow of time had made a correction.
The two stared at each other at a very close distance, Alice swung her sword in the direction she predicted based on the man's future shadow.
But the man's future image disappeared and reappeared beside Alice, preparing to slash.
The panicked Alice immediately changed the direction of her attack instantly and slashed towards the future shadow, but when she slashed at it, the future shadow disappeared.
A sword pierced Alice's abdomen, it was the attack of the white-haired man who was in a crouching position in front of her. A situation that this female knight could not have predicted.
The man smiled broadly and laughed. "You have it too?"
Alice tried to slash at the man but failed as he seemed to know what was coming and jumped away.
The female knight held her bleeding stomach and started breathing heavily.
"You... You too... You can also see the future," Alice said staring very warily.
The man was still smiling widely and raised his tone of voice in excitement "What an amazing coincidence. We're both the same. Hahahahaha!"
