Chapter 39: The show is on
Moth looked at the young woman, waiting for her to answer. But she only stammered, unable to give a coherent response. "My name?" she said, her brow furrowed in confusion.
"I don't know my name," she said, her voice shaking. Moth could tell she was scared and unsure of what was happening. It was clear that she had lost her memory. But how? And why?
"Do you have a family?" Moth asked. The young woman shook her head. "I don't remember having a family," she said, her voice soft and trembling. She looked so lost and vulnerable, and Moth felt a surge of compassion for her. He wanted to help her, but he didn't know how.
He watched her hug her knees to her chest, her eyes downcast. She looked so alone and scared. It was clear that this was going to be a lot harder than he had thought. How could he help someone who couldn't even remember who she is?
