A Year Later.
The sound of a bullet piercing through the air echoed in the shooting range, followed by a chorus of amused applause from the men. My practice shooting had come to an end, but a lingering doubt gnawed at me.
"I don't understand why you still hesitate when it comes to live targets. Your skills in practice shooting are impeccable," Neo exclaimed, shaking his head in bewilderment.
"I'm not sure I can do it," I replied, my voice tinged with uncertainty.
"Boss has trained you in every skill he possesses. It has been a year, yet you still struggle to pull the trigger when it matters most," Neo responded, his tone filled with a mix of disappointment and frustration.
A sense of pity washed over me as I contemplated the prospect of taking someone's life. "I can't help but feel remorse for the target. I struggle to imagine myself ending another person's life," I confessed, my doubts weighing heavily upon me.
