Oberon arched his brow and gave her an amused look.
"Why?"
She fiddled with her fingers and looked around, "Uh.. is it a bad thing to request?" She played with them.
"It is not but.. it is odd, since it is coming from you." His lips turned up.
She sighed deeply and gulped, "Okay, I was feeling alone. I have always been treated that way, you should not treat me that way too, right?" She pouted, looking into his eyes.
"Hmm, come sit." He patted his laps.
She raised her brows in surprise, "What?"
"Come, sit down."
She hesitated, "I have never..."
"Now you will, today, come and sit down here." He beckoned on her.
She slowly walked towards him but sat beside him, avoiding his eyes.
"Now, do not be stubborn, you have to obey simple instructions. You want me to go back to the room, right?" His eyes twinkled with mischief.
"Yes but..."
Before she could finish her statement, he had wrapped his hands around her waist and made her sit on his laps.
"That feels better." He inhaled her scent.
She stiffened, his hands were cold yet soothing.
She shifted uncomfortably on him, "You should probably be still, that is of you do not want..."
She shook her head, "Fine, if that is what you want." She gulped, "Will you come back to that room?"
"Uh.. I do not think so.. you have to appease me first." Mischief was obvious in his voice and the way hos eyes twinkled.
"How do I do that?" She asked quietly.
His smile widened, he was about to reply when something flashed in his head. His smile instantly disappeared.
He gently put her to sit beside him, she looked perplexed.
"What is the matter?" She asked, "Have I said anything wrong now?"
He shook his head, "You should.. you should probably go back to your room." He said softly
"But I came here so you could go back with me." She whined.
"I am sorry. I just... can not go back with you... I am very sorry Nyx, I was very improper when I asked you to make a pup with me." He looked away.
She furrowed her brows, "Okay, I am not angry with you." She shook her head.
"You would not be." He said quietly. He stood up and went to far end of the room.
"Please Nyx, leave." He said calmly.
She bit her lips, she regretted ever coming to his study. She stood up and headed to the door, she left the room without bothering to close the door.
Oberon closed his eyes and exhaled, his lust was not helping matters at all. He was yet to meet his fated mate, he could do his mate the injustice of marking someone else.
"Curse my desires!" He groaned.
"Wherever you are, I must find you. No matter where you are, I will find you." He told himself.
He growled lowly and yipped. If he didn't want matters to be complicated, he had to find his mate and made sure Nyx left peacefully.
He was feeling suffocated so he decided to go outside, some fresh air would make him feel better.
He walked through the hallways till he got outside. He headed to the garden and sat down on the chair.
"This is more complicated than I thought, if I do not handle things properly, everything will go out of hand." He pushed his head backwards.
He stared at the moonless sky, "You are not helping matters, why have I not found my mate yet? Now I had to get married to someone else, what will I tell her when I eventually find my mate?" He groaned and slapped his head.
"This is out of hand but I have no choice. I have to be crowned the Alpha, I can not give that up."
It was obvious he was using Nyx for his own pleasures, he didn't want to do that, but what else could he do? He couldn't think of anyone else, she was just perfect, even at first sight.
"Dear moon goddess, I just wish you could just show me something, on which I can hold on to, that my mate is not far away." He stared at the sky.
He heard a sound in a distance, he arched his brow and turned in thr direction it had come from. It sounded as if a werewolf needed help.
He shook his head, "I must be imagining stuff." He slightly slapped his forehead.
It was first a whine, then a growl and finally a loud howl.
This got him curious, "It is not yet full moon, who would be howling this loud as at this time?" He stood up, moving in the direction of the howl.
It got louder as he came closer, his curiousity heightened, his heart raced as he came closer. All of a sudden, it stopped.
"Huh? Why did it stop?" He squinted his eyes.
He looked around, he spotted something curled up, he walked towards it and noticed it was a female werewolf. His eyes widened.
He tried to touch it but it leaped away from him.
He stood there dazed, "I can smell you." He whispered, his heart was racing faster.
It whined and sat down, staring at him with very large eyes.
"This is so hard to believe, how come I found you but as a werewolf?" He walked closer but it trotted backwards away from him.
"Hey, wait, where are you going? Come back, you are the one for me." He hastened to meet her but thr more he hastened his steps, the more she got away from him.
She stopped in front of a portal and looked at him before jumping into it.
"No! Wait!"
He woke up with a start, his face drenched with sweat.
He looked around, he was in his study room.
"How did I get back in here, I was outside." He held his head.
It then occured to him, "It was a dream?" He asked in disbelief, "It felt so real, I almost had her." He blinked.
He groaned softly and held his head, "Damn it's when will I find you?" He said softly.
He sighed and stood up, he was stressing himself with too much thinking. He headed straight to the garden, "This must be some kind of sign." He said hopefully.
He reached the garden and looked around, the sky was moonless.
"Is it possible that I will find her here?" He looked around. He palmed his face and exhaled.
"I am only some steps away from her. I will find her, that I know." He said hopefully.
"Dear mate, wherever you are, please come to me. I do not know where else to find you. I have tried my best, believe me." He sat on the chair.
Someone in the shadows snickered, he had been observing Oberon ever since he came out.
"Hm, an Alpha without a mate." He chuckled mischievously.
"A mate you want, a mate you shall have." He laughed out loud, loud enough for Oberon to hear.
He turned sharply to the direction of the shadows, "Who is there?" He stood up and hastened towards the shadows.
By the time her got there, there was no one around, but he found a note on the floor. 'A mate you want, a mate you shall have.' The note read
