''Sometimes, embracing the beautiful imperfections can lead to something even more precious and heartfelt."
"Sara, trust is the most important key to any relationship, but once it is broken, no one— I mean no one— can fix it. Do you understand, Sara?" Mia asked Sara and then forced a smile.
"Hey guys, stop blaming my friend. It is not her fault, and I'm okay. I trust her, so please drop the topic and let her be," Sara interjected.
"So dear, did you miss me?" Mia's eyes were wide open, eagerly waiting for Sara's response.
"I missed you a lot and am craving a sweet treat right now. How about you, dear?" Sara replied with a wide smile, bouncing around like an excited child.
Repeating herself, Mia pleaded, "Can we... can we go now, please? Please... cutie, please?"
"Okay, okay! We can go. I can't say no to you," Sara smiled back at Mia, and they both hugged tightly.
"Yay, my friend is the best in..." Before finishing her sentence, Rita laughed so hard that everyone turned and looked at her.
"Why is she laughing?" someone asked.
Another person replied, "Who knows?"
"Hey! I'm here! If you want to say something to me, say it directly to me. Wait, Sara, stop acting like you care about Mia. You make me sick with your fake concern. 'I can't say no to you'... my foot," Rita said mockingly with an evil smile on her face.
"Rita! You said what?!" Sara stood up and shouted at Rita.
"WHATEVER," Rita replied.
"Hey, Rita..." Mia pulled Sara's hand. "Don't mind her. Let's go. Rita, see you tomorrow, okay? Guys, bye, I really missed you all. And Rita, cool down, okay? I'm okay."
Mia walked slowly towards the door, and Sara walked beside Mia, but her thoughts were somewhere else. She kept staring at Mia's back while Mia happily jumped up and down.
Sara's POV:
Why is she so happy? What is her plan? She is acting strange, as if I did nothing at all. What is going on in her mind? What are you cooking in your head, Mia? I know you're pretending, but why? I think something is about to happen, but what?!
Mia's call broke her thoughts, and she asked, "What happened?"
"I asked you if you liked the cafe or not, but you didn't reply," Mia said.
"Huh? We have reached already? That was fast," Sara said.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, we came running. Have you forgotten? Hahaha, these days you have become so forgetful," Mia teased her with a smile.
"Hmm, sorry," Sara apologized after bumping into Mia in the doorway.
"Oh dear! Are you okay?" Mia asked with worry in her voice, evident on her face as she helped her to stand up. "Are you fine, Nawe?" Mia asked again.
"Yes, I'm fine. Thanks for helping me. I'm going now, I'm late. Have fun, okay?" Nawe replied while running away.
"Hey Sara! Are we going to stay here the whole day?" Mia complained.
"Ah, sorry, let's enter, madam," Sara replied.
"I prefer sitting near the window. Can we sit over there?" Mia pointed out.
"It's okay with me. As long as you like it, I'm okay with your choice," Sara replied with a small smile.
Mia's POV:
Ha! I wish you meant each word you said today and also back then. I want to act like it was a bad dream and act normal, but I can't. I hope you will tell me why you did what you did. I need answers to my questions.
End of Mias POV:
No matter how hard one tries to fix a torn piece of paper, it will never be as perfect as it was before it was torn apart. So what can one do?
