Chapter 5 - Wave of Warning

(M) Main Protagonist's Point Of View

DORRR...!!!

Our gazes reflexively turned towards the source of the sound, and we saw people running towards the commotion.

"Let go..." her voice faintly heard.

"Huhhh..." I asked.

"I SAID LET ME GO!" Then I noticed I gripping her Natural Soft Chest Protector Armor, which I unintentionally did out of panic and surprise.

"Hehe'... Sorry, that wasn't my intention," I said awkwardly.

"You perverted scumbag, LET ME GO !" with his face flushed, pushing my face away with his hands.

"UGHHh...!"

She quickly stood up and pulled my hand to hide, then said...

"What are you doing? Why aren't you running and hiding?" she asked.

"You're foolish, If there's a way to escape, why bother coming here? When I first heard the sound, I was already thinking that way."

"Then why don't you do it here?" she asked.

"Seeking alternative safety."

"What do you mean?"

" Think, this Mall as a public place with 3 entrances/exits plus an Evacuation access, in case a disaster suddenly occurs. It will definitely make it very possible for others to escape, right? But, looking at why they chose this place, it's impossible they did it without thinking about it, isn't it?" That's my observation.

"They have disabled the access in and out in such a short time?" she question

"Not only the access in and out, they have disabled, but I suspect the security as well. My assumption is that this is not just a normal act, it's planned, it's professional," I said. No wonder I've been feeling something strange from some people since earlier.

"..." she remained silent.

"Hey, say something. Are you understood what I'm saying?" I asked.

"You stay silent and hide here, I will check the surroundings," she said while holding his hip as if trying to confirm something, which made me realize what she was looking for.

"You are unarmed. So, don't do it. It's reckless and crazy," I said as if I could read his mind.

"Stay here, I'll be back, okay." she said, quickly grabbing she arm back and saying.

"I doubt you'll come back, you know," I said, and then he brushed off my hand and said.

"Then what other choice do we have," she said.

"Hey Wonder Woman, I don't know how great you are, and honestly, I don't care that much, but clearly, a bare hand against a firearm only happens in Fantasy Novels or Comics. You'll only endanger yourself and others, which happen it's me and myself," I said to this stubborn person.

"Hehh...? Seems like you're worried about nothing but yourself, huh? In this situation, I'm the only law enforcer here," she said firmly.

"What difference does it make if you're here?" I said.

"Hahh!!!" He reflexively responded, looking puzzled.

"Shuttts...! Shut up, what's the situation like? How many of them are there? What weapons are they using? Where is your guns? Because without knowing all of these details, your actions can only be described as suicide," he said during the conversation. Suddenly, an announcement came over the speaker.

"Hmmm...check...check... Announcement to all mall visitors, please gather at the lobby... once again, to the lobby immediately. Because it's pointless for you to try to escape this situation, as you have we closed off all entrances and exits and the mall is isolated from the outside. You only have one choice, which is to surrender and give up. Because for anyone who tries to do something we don't expect, be prepared for our next actions. Thank you... Oh, almost forgot, for those who are hiding. It's better for you to abandon your intentions and become good citizens and surrender voluntarily because if we find you, you'll know the bad things that will happen. That's... Crk.

STAY STILL! YOU HEVE NO OTHER CHOICE!" they shouted, ushering everyone to the lobby. Witnessing this, I realized something strange.

Firstly, they were not ordinary people; they seemed to have military training. Secondly, their emotions hinted at a deep concern. But for what...?

"My phone is left in the café. Detective, can you contact someone outside? I need to make sure of something," I said. then she took out her phone, oddly not catching any signal.

"No... I can't contact anyone because there's no signal," she replied.

"Damn, it's true after all," I said.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"You saw what just happened. The terrorist shot that man's leg accurately and precisely without injuring any vital organs. Even a fool knows they're not ordinary people; it takes at least 5 years in the military and shooting training to do something like that. Not to mention the blocked access to phones and the internet from the outside world. Trained, isolated, planned. In my opinion, they're not just anyone, and this isn't just an ordinary act of terrorism; this is planned, this is professional work," I said.

"Where do you know something like that from...?" she asked, with a curious expression.

"Because I'm a genius writer, you forgot." I said, rubbing my chin. Instantly, her curious expression turned sour.

"It's up to you then..." she said as she hurriedly left.

"Hey, wait a minute..." I said, trying to stop her from leaving. But before I could prevent her, suddenly we heard a shout.

"YOU THERE, DON'T MOVE...!!!" Someone approaching from behind. Calmly, the detective raised his hands and whispered.

"Whatever happens, and will happen, never try to stop me." she said.

"What do you mean...?" I asked.

"Just stay quiet there," she said calmly.

Then the person approached slowly, in a state of alertness with a gun continuously aimed at both of us.

"Stay there... Don't move, and don't try anything foolish," the person said, stepping slowly.

"You should have surrendered when you heard the announcement instead of hiding because there's no way out for you," I answered with a smile.

"hehe...I'm sorry, Sir, I intended to do just that. However, the woman next to me insisted on finding a way out. I tried to stop her, but then you came here. Hehehe..." but suddenly something strange happened with this man gripping his gun very tightly, with a sharp gaze focused on something. With an emotional color indicating alertness.

"Huh, what's wrong? You see, we surrendered." I said, panicking and confused.

I was puzzled until I glanced beside me. The sharp gaze indicating bravery, the focused and serious facial expression indicating never backing down, the calm posture indicating readiness to face any complex situation. What's going on! This is Serious! Serious! Serious! Why do I have to be with her in a situation like this? I mean, is she so stubborn that she doesn't know how to control her expression?

Doesn't she know how to behave in a situation like this?

She has intimidated the man, making everything more complicated. And how could the one who should feel threatened become the threat itself? Damn!!! This color.

GRRKKK!!! the sound of the gun being gripped by the man
