The fissures of his helm, where his eyes were located, glowed vivid red.
"You won't stop me, no one will stop me."
The two birds fought in the skies, their punches surpassing the speed of sound, causing the entire island to vibrate with the exchange of their fists. They were two sides of the same coin, two people who existed for the same purpose, but with different ideals and motives.
The will that resided in one surpassed that of anyone else present on the island.
Modern Society - 21st Century - 2025
World crises have taken unimaginable proportions since the death of the spirit of Shinzoi in the last great war, leading to a great manifestation of cosmic forces upon the world. Everywhere, gradually, the cosmos, once a very unusual and rare force that was awakened only by teaching and many years of practice, had now become a force that possessed a large part of the world's population. Even young children awakened this type of destructive power.
As expected, this power was not welcome; people of ill will ended up discovering ways to manipulate this energy for evil, and thus a global concern arose. The major countries sought a way to control this power so that humanity would not destroy itself. A way to stop these powerful individuals, something that could counterbalance the scale, so that balance could be restored. Gangs were formed to take advantage of the chaotic situation, so groups needed to be formed, response teams to confront all those who threatened the safety and freedom of people. This was of extreme urgency around the entire globe. Spirited individuals willing to understand this new inner power awakening within each sought a healthy way to use it, believing that this energy could bring good. As always, this change generated fear in people who disapproved of anyone possessing such capability, which largely fueled prejudice and division among the masses between normal people and the new Cosmos Users.
In 2022, when a major company known as Syringe Corp, the pioneer in the study of cosmic force, announced they were seeking a way to neutralize this ability through science, liberating the world from such evil. Millionaires from around the world made hefty donations to end this evil now plaguing everyone, and that's when equipment was created, the "anti-cosmo-force." Devices that promised to neutralize each individual's ability to channel this energy, a palliative means to counterbalance the scale and rebalance the world, reducing the chaos and destruction this effect caused.
In December 2023, there was a major crisis when enraged cosmos-users rebelled, self-styling themselves as "Revolutionaries." Little was known about them, but the fact was they had monstrous powers enough to concern anti-cosmos groups. Somehow, they developed new powers, a kind of armor that emerged when they manipulated energy, thwarting the anti-cosmos equipment from working effectively. Many countries declared martial law; people feared to go out on the streets, and the world had once again become chaotic. Some time later, a movement was founded, the Gyre Armada, spreading rapidly across the world, promising to bring this force to the side of good according to its ideology. The world would change rapidly, and it would decide whether it would be dominated by people or by cosmos-users.
In August 2024, a revolutionary fleet armed against the Gyre Armada, which now dominated much of the countries. Led by three boys, they managed to contain parts of the Gyre teams, thus enabling the U.S. authorities to restore their authority; the initiative became known as the "Rationalization of Cosmos Users' Usage." In Las Vegas Hellish Underfell, a influential billionaire persuaded high society to invest in institutes so that the power of these new individuals could be balanced, in the hope of a future where society could coexist with them by instructing and educating them to protect the world against those who sought to impose their power and spread fear.
For a long time, the issue was debated, however, it was very difficult to take positive action on any matter related to cosmos-users since the wave of crimes committed by these manipulators was high. Finally, the authorities voted, and even the UN intervened in favor of the new law. In the city of Chicago, in November 2025, the initiative was approved. The first institution founded was Hail Saints, with the first foundation in the city of Chicago, focusing on instructing cosmos-users. They would learn about both body and mind so that in the near future, they could protect non-cosmos people from a distant chaotic future.
