"How have you been fairing, my child?" Her father, King Gerald asked as they sat facing each other with both her hands being caressed in one of each of her parents hands over the table. Gerald's eyes on her were weary and full of repentance. He looked as though he wished he could turn back time. Like he was hoping he could somehow change everything that had happened from the very beginning.
"I have been doing fine, father. And quit looking at me with those eyes, I have not been made to suffer. I'm being treated right." She said because she could easily guess what was going through her father's head as he stared at her like that.
