The battle raged on and while Amon's subordinates were able to kill a troll and some of the gnomes, they were less experienced with their new bodies and were still being slaughtered by the blood thirsty demons. While all this happened, Amon opted to hide, too afraid to help his subordinates in battle. The battle continued on and his subordinates started to hold their own, but by then more than two hundred of their companions were killed, leaving a little over two hundred to continue the fight. As the battle seemed hopeless, complex, multilayered runes lit up under the feet of the trolls and they were instantly teleported outside of Zone 3 and into zone 4. This meant that they have exceeded the power threshold of their race and were about to evolve into the next tier, the demons knew this and increased the intensity of the fight, pushing the subordinates back again. Soon, more and more runes lit up, teleporting more and more of them into Zone 4.
Soon, only a handful of demons were left behind and they were quickly finished off by the subordinates, bringing the fight to an abrupt end. Sensing that the battle was over, Amon came out of hiding and looked at the devastation and corpses before clearing his throat.
"You have done well, soldiers of Aeralia, you shown these filth the might of your city." Amon said, but all he got in return were wrathful glares and growls.
"Amon, how dare you come out here and act like that, after hiding like a coward." Growled out Lucious, a werewolf.
"How dare you speak to your king like that, you ungrateful dog." Amon shouted angry, this was the first time someone ever talked to him like that. Lucious let out a deep, menacing growl and Amon squealed. Lucious transformed into his werewolf form and Amon took a step back, finally aware of how dire the situation was.
"Stop, i-if you hurt me....I'll have you executed." Amon said, trying to put on a brave facade, but the trembling fat didn't help much.
"And who will execute him my king, you." Duncan, a general in the Aeralian army and an orc, said mockingly. Looking around, he realized that none of his subordinates were going to help and started running, but he didn't get far. Lucious chased after him and bit into his body as he squealed like a pig being slaughtered. Lucious bit and tore onto him with glee as his claws became bloody and soon, he stopped moving.
"Worthless bastard." Lucious said after transforming back and tried to flick the blood off himself, but their was just too much, from both the battle and killing Amon.
"What should we do now?" Lucious asked as everyone gathered
"I think we should first check out those rewards we got for killing those creatures." Duncan said and Lucious nodded his head. They spent the next hour or so, they couldn't really tell since the underworld's sun and overall atmosphere was different from Earth's, checking out the rewards. Most of them were cursed regalias, and after testing them out, they figured out that they were used to create clothes if they poured demonic energy into it. They also received weapons and a few storage rings. They allowed those who received the rewards to keep them, while distributing the extras.
"I think we should split up." Duncan said after they finished distributing the loot.
"It's obvious that the reason why so many of those creatures attacked us is because of our numbers, so if we were to reduce our numbers, we are less likely to be attacked." Duncan explained, and they nodded their heeads.
"We should split in groups of twenty, not too many to attract a lot of those creatures and not too little that we can't defend ourselves if we are attacked." Lucious added and within fifteen minutes, they were able to divide themselves into groups of twenty and ten or so groups were formed.
"Stay safe and don't engage any of those creatures if you don't have to." Duncan said and they all gave a salute before splitting up and heading into the fo
