Chereads / The Billionaire's Accidental Bride / Chapter 29 - Oriental Beauty

Chapter 29 - Oriental Beauty

The makeup artist as well as other staff were endlessly praising Amber's Beauty, because of her charming and energetic personality , Amber demanded Everyone's attention.

Wheres in comparison, while not working Sophie was quiet and peaceful. She didn't like talking. This kind of introverted personality, specially when comparing with Amber made it easy for people to ignore her Presence and beauty.

"Miss. Amber , As you are already ready, why don't you enter the studio and complete your solo shoot first!" Said the photographer.

As well as the front cover shoot, there were also solo photos inside the magazine. So , Amber entered the studio ahead of Sophie ,as she got up from her seat in front of the mirror a provoking look went across her face accompanied by a confident aura. It was like she was sure that she would win.

This confidence could definitely not be found on Sophie. As because of this favourable impression all staff had their faith on Amber more.

Inside the studio, the set was ready. Under the traditional wooden window , stood an old table. At top of the table sat a delicate blue and white porse slim vase , and appearing out of the vase was a beautiful pink rose that had recently bloomed.

Beside the table, sat a tychi chair. Amber's task was to seat on this chair and take a photo.

Upon seeing Amber enter the studio, the photographer was captivated by her look. To pull of the look of an oriental beauty, all she had to do was to seat on the chair and she would be as beautiful as a painting.

If she could utilize her skill to take it a step further, the oriental trend would definitely be ignited in the Mexican market.

"It's rumoured that this model is comparable to Jacklin Roberts" The photographer's assistant praised, "She must be very professional"

"I have high hopes"

The tall handsome photographer reminded everyone to get in position before calling Amber in a friendly manner, "The shoot is about to start!"

As Amber was very ambitious, she understood, apart from putting in extra effort for the shoot with Sophie, she also couldn't treat this solo shoot very casually as well.

"Let's take a few shots from the side!" The photographer instructed Amber.

With the help of the translator, Amber understood the photographer's expressions. So she immediately Turned her body to one side. She then used her right arm to lean against the back of the chair and placed her left hand on her dress, revealing the left side of her refined face as she smiled seductively.

The photographer forrowed her brows, he was expecting an oriental beauty at an oriental temptress.

The photographer captured a photo regardless, he thought maybe she hadn't gotten into her momentum yet.

So , he directed her to express the intellectual beauty of an oriental woman by holding a traditional red basket.

This time , Amber sat up straight, the angle was right, but she had her head down. All the photographer could see was her wide forehead.

The photographer again took a few shots, his impression was unimpressed, 'How can this model even be comparable to Jacklin Roberts !?" The photographer thought

Worst of all, throughout the entire shoot , although Amber's personality stood out, she could pull only one smile and one visual expression.

The photographer was very much silent. He just wanted to complete the job at hand.

When the shoot was finally over, Amber approached him and ask how she went.

The photographer didn't respond, while his assistant turned to Amber, gave her a thumbs up and said , "Very Good!"

Amber gave a proud smile. Underneath her refined appearance was a model with no self awareness.it suddenly felt so easy to hate her.

The photographer let out a sigh, one of disgust behind her back , before turning to his assistant and asked , "Is there still one more !!?"

At this moment, Sophie gently entered the studio. She started off by greeting the photographer politely. Her smile didn't seemed forced nor unfriendly. But because of Amber's shoot, the photographer was currently in a bad mood, so he could only respond to Sophie in an expressionless manner.

Deep down he thought, Even though the model just left wasn't skilled, she at least had a bright personality , But this one Infront of her had a dull personality and was quiet. He was expecting her to be even worst than what Amber was.

So , because of his low expectations, his attitude towards Sophie was very casual. He casually prepared and casually started the shoot, without giving Sophie any instructions.

All he mentioned to her was the underlined theme of each photo.

"I don't even know how this woman even be called models"

Theme 1 - The gentleness of an oriental woman.

The photographer was not worried at all about this theme, because just had to be herself and task could be completed.

However, she did something he did not expect at all.

Indeed , she didn't need to do anything fancy, she just had to maintain her usual composure and simply seat on the chair. But, she added in one important factor.

Her eyes... Unlike the calm and emotionless expression she originally had , Sophie's gaze was now focused on Infront of her , alert and clear. Her eyes were a slightly watery with a tinge of red, like she was looking at something that she loved but had to resist.

This was exactly the shy reserved personality of an oriental woman.

Most importantly, Sophie didn't only bring attention to her eyes , she also let onlookers with her emotions, to focus on the clothes on her body.

She looked like a woman who dressed up for the person she loved. Only to find, person she loved was with other person.

Therefore she felt her appearance was disgraceful as a joke.

Emotions and setting , blended together, her Gaze and the product beacme one.

'Wow!" The photographer couldn't hide his excitement. Throughout the entire shoot, he endlessly shouted, "Perfect!"

He had never worked with such an skilled model. His heart was so excited that it was about to burst. In a mere five minutes, Sophie managed to portray a story and most importantly, the story was related to the clothe she was wearing.

This is how a professional model should be. No matter how beautiful she was, she was meant to be an accessory for the product she was meant to present. Most Models had the capability of showing off their clothes, but how many could become one with it !?

The photographer was felt with excitement. He finally felt he found a chance to show his photography skills.

Most importantly, Sophie was a model , who knew to pick her own poses and she didn't require much direction. Every pose she pulled was exactly what was required and every photo she would take would make one to not delete it.

Thinking about it, the previous model in comparison to Sophie was completely overshadowed. The difference between just a pretty face and a real model was like the difference between the sky and the earth.

Afterwards, the photographer asked Sophie to pull off a few more looks. What made him even more surprised was the fact that no matter what he requested from Sophie , she would be responding within a second - Flirtatious, sad, innocent, seductive. She could pull off all with just a simple gaze and her detailed approach.

He couldn't help but applaud her. This type of model completely represented the true oriental trend.

After finishing her solo photo shoot, Sophie walked out of the studio so the crew could change the set. She needed to change into a new outfit too.

When she returned to the waiting room, she found Garry blocking the door, a smug look on his face.

"Mr. Nathan is busy inside. You'll have to wait," he said with a smirk.

Sophie gave Garry a calm look. Without a word, she gently moved him aside and opened the door.

Inside, she saw Amber sitting on Nathan's lap, both lost in a passionate embrace. It was a scene eerily similar to the night she caught them cheating on her. Their blatant disregard for anyone else made it seem like they believed they had already won.

When Sophie saw them, she didn't feel the anger or pain that had overwhelmed her the first time. Instead, her eyes were filled with mockery and ridicule.

Amber hadn't expected Sophie to walk in so suddenly. Seeing Sophie act so calmly, she paused, unsure of what to do next.

Nathan, realizing the awkwardness, gently pushed Amber off his lap. "We'll continue this back at the hotel tonight," he said nonchalantly.

"I love you, Nathan!" Amber declared loudly, seizing the moment to proudly confess her feelings. She believed she had taken away the best thing Sophie ever had—or so she thought.

"I love you too, babe," Nathan replied, reassuring Amber with a quick embrace before standing up. He turned to Sophie and warned, "You'll both be doing a photoshoot together soon. Make sure to coordinate well with Amber. And Amber, don't cause any trouble. We can't afford to become an even bigger joke. Got it?"

Amber chimed in, "Nathan, don't you know Sophie by now? Isn't her only reason for being here to stir up trouble for us?"

"Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on her," Amber added, feigning innocence.

Sophie remained silent throughout their exchange. She simply asked the stylist and makeup artist to continue their work.

Nathan left the room, his face clouded with anger.

As Nathan walked past some staff members, he took a moment to inquire about Amber's photoshoot. The responses were encouraging but not overly enthusiastic:

"Not bad, she has a promising future."

"Good."

"She'll definitely go viral."

However, when he asked about Sophie, the feedback was strikingly different:

"She is great."

"She was just awesome."

The stark contrast in their opinions about Amber and Sophie left Nathan's expression tense and contemplative.

As the photoshoot approached, the stylist thoughtfully prepared two outfits: one black, one white. The idea was to make them look like a pair of sisters. Amber's fiery, provocative nature seemed perfect for the black ensemble, while Sophie's gentle demeanor was ideally suited for the white.

Before anyone could react, Amber dashed over and grabbed the white outfit, knowing it was the more eye-catching choice.

"This..." The fashion designer hesitated, caught in a tricky situation.

"Let her have it," Sophie said calmly, not even blinking. "As long as Miss Amber is sure she won't regret it."

Amber held the white clothing triumphantly, a satisfied smile on her face.

Lisa, the assistant, stomped her foot in frustration, but Sophie turned to her with a reassuring look. "That piece does suit her better," Sophie remarked with a knowing smile.

Hearing this, Lisa relaxed. She realized Sophie was confident in her own choice and wasn't really conceding anything. Sophie had a plan, and Lisa understood that she was in control.

The two models decided to switch outfits, creating an unexpected twist in their fashion show. Surprisingly, the only thing setting their clothes apart was the color.

When Amber slipped into the white cheongsam, she looked absolutely stunning, exuding a vibrant and lively aura. The intricate embroidery on the dress enhanced her appearance, making her look almost goddess-like—truly a perfect match for her.

Amber was no fool; she understood that lighter colors grabbed more attention, which is exactly why she had her eyes on that white dress from the start.

Who would ever choose to wear such a lifeless color like black? Yet, when Amber thought about it, she realized it suited Sophie's more subdued personality perfectly. The thought made Amber chuckle.

"Black suits you well," Amber quipped with a hint of sarcasm.

Given the circumstances, if Sophie wore black, wouldn't she just blend into the background? Amber found herself lost in a daydream.

Sophie, unfazed, smiled and returned the compliment, "White suits you too."

"The shoot is starting, can the two models get ready?" the photographer's assistant shouted from outside.

Amber took an quick glance at Sophie, her heart was racing. This was first time she was to stage with Sophie. Her opportunity had finally come to show off her skills.

She was going to make everyone realize, Sophie was an outdated model, who is not comparable to her in a million ways.

Following closely, both the models entered the studio one after another.

This time the backdrop was a modern street scene that gave off a melancholy aura.

The photographer watched as Sophie and Amber stepped on the set. A sudden thought came to his mind, not only did Sophie had a strong modeling foundation. It was even possible that she understood the photography.

Why did the photographer suddenly think this !? Because the backdrop behind them was old and melancholy and the sky was white. If you imagine placing something white on a blank piece of paper , it will only disappear into the background.

On the other hand, what would happen if you placed something black . No matter how small it was it would still catch the attention of whoever is looking at it.

To confirm his thoughts, the photographer turned to his assistant and asked , "Did Sophie see us changing the background !?"

"I think she only saw us carrying the backdrop in" The assistant replied.

"Indeed, she was professional and knew how to take advantage of the situation! If a model like her didn't become famous, there was something wrong with this world" The photographer was impressed with Sophie even more.

On the other hand , All Amber knew how to do was go with the flow. She only knew to stand in front of Sophie , because standing in front of Sophie would make her stand out more.

Sophie let her have her way and did everything to satisfy her and support her.

"Come get ready , we need to get started. The first of set of shots will have Miss Amber standing at the foreground holding onto Miss Sophie's hand. Miss Sophie would be following behind. I want you both to look excited, like this is the first time you are out at the streets" Said the photographer.

Hearing she was to stand in the foreground, Amber smirked to herself. " Indeed , Picking white was the right choice" she thought

She simply turned around, grabbed Sophie's hand unwillingly, and pulled a pose like she was anxious to move forward.

However, what pose did Sophie do !?

She simply placed her focus towards on small street vendor pictured in the backdrop. The street vendor was selling a lots of fabrics and she appeared to be fascinated by it.

By looking at her, you could feel how badly she wanted to stay and not be pulled forward. At the same time, she showed off the smooth curves of one side of her body , drawing in Amber into the scene.

But because her expression was so vivid, all the attention was on her.

Hence, Amber simply became part of the backdrop.
