After getting home, Sophie found herself with plenty of free time since Noah was still out for the day. Deciding to make herself useful, she headed to the kitchen where the servants were busy cooking.
Rolling up her sleeves, she cheerfully offered, "Let me help!"
The head chef, a kindly woman in her forties, looked surprised and said, "Madam, how could we trouble you with this?"
Sophie had a calm and soothing presence that was comforting. "Why don't you take a break today and let me handle dinner for Noah tonight?" she suggested with a warm smile, persuading the chef to leave the kitchen to her.
When Noah finally got home, it was already quite late. But as soon as he stepped inside, his first thought was to find Sophie.
He discovered her in the kitchen, barefoot and wearing an apron, completely focused on preparing dinner.
Noah was taken aback by her appearance, captivated by her graceful, slender legs.
He couldn't resist and walked up to her, wrapping his arms around her from behind and planting a tender kiss on her ear.
"Mr. Noah, stop teasing me. I'm trying to cook fish," Sophie said, her cheeks turning a rosy pink.
Noah reached over, switched off the stove, and gently lifted her chin to steal a kiss. "Right now, all I want is to eat you up," he murmured softly.
Sophie set down the kitchen utensils and awkwardly turned to embrace Noah, responding to his kiss with warmth.
His gentle touch made her heart flutter, and as she noticed the endearing mole on his ear, she found herself completely smitten.
Noah's kisses were slow and tender, gradually traveling down her body, before returning to linger at her collarbone. "Any further, and I might not be able to hold back," he whispered.
Sophie suddenly remembered her cooking. "Oh, the fish! I need to finish cooking it," she exclaimed, gently pulling away, and relit the stove to complete her dish.
Noah chuckled and patted her head affectionately. Admiring her determination, he offered with a smile, "Let me give you a hand."
"Wait, Mr. Noah can actually cook?!" Sophie exclaimed, her eyebrows shooting up in surprise.
"For today, I'll let it slide, but from now on, stay out of the kitchen. I don't want you to get hurt," Noah said, his voice full of concern. He always worried about Sophie, especially when it came to her legs. He was even considering getting insurance for them.
"You're so controlling!" Sophie teased, though she knew deep down it was because he cared about her.
The couple quietly set about making dinner together, revealing that they were both truly talented in the kitchen. Sophie whipped up Noah's favorite dish, while Noah prepared Sophie's beloved meal.
Before long, the dining table was covered with a delightful feast. In perfect harmony, they both looked at the table in awe, realizing that moments like these were rare and special. Enjoying life together like this was something not everyone could do.
"Tomorrow, I have to head to Siyatal for a photoshoot," Sophie explained to Noah. "I probably won't make it back home."
"Wait, aren't you signing the contract tomorrow? Are you heading out right after that in the afternoon?" Noah asked, a bit surprised.
"Yeah, Beautiful Soul needs to launch their new product urgently," Sophie confirmed with a nod. "Just give me some time, Noah. I'll work my way up to a position that will make you proud."
"I never doubted you for a second," Noah replied warmly, placing some food on Sophie's plate.
Their eyes locked, filled with admiration for one another. Noah was especially eager to watch Sophie climb the ladder of success, imagining how it would make Amber and Nathan envious.
After a blustery night, a gentle rain began to fall.
When Amber returned to Nathan's home, she was filled with frustration. She grabbed whatever she could find and hurled it to the ground, shattering everything into pieces.
The thought of Sophie signing the contract the next day was something Amber simply couldn't accept.
What made it even worse was knowing that Nathan had actually helped Sophie. This was the hardest pill for her to swallow.
When Nathan burst through the door, he was met with a chaotic and shocking scene.
Nathan noticed Amber holding a vase, and without hesitation, he rushed over and wrapped her in a warm hug. "Hey, don't be so down; it's not good for the baby," he gently reminded her.
Amber, still upset, replied, "I'm surprised you know that it's bad for the baby, considering you just stood by as Sophie took my deal."
Nathan tried to reassure her, saying, "We have plenty of opportunities ahead. You can focus on landing an even bigger collaboration. Don't let Sophie get to you. Even if she becomes the Brand Ambassador for Beautiful Soul, it won't mean much in the long run." He softly patted her shoulder, adding, "Sweetheart, please listen to me. Take care of yourself."
"Even if you do all this, I'm still not convinced," Amber said, lifting her head, tears glistening in her eyes. "She's been clinging to you for so many years, and I refuse to let her have you now."
In truth, Amber had already instructed her assistant to stir up trouble among her fanbase. The effects were becoming evident, as her fans had begun discussing ways to tear Sophie down, hurling insults at her.
Determined not to let Sophie win, Amber took further steps. She had her assistant leak Sophie's schedule for the next day, giving anti-fans a chance to create chaos and make things difficult for Sophie.
Does Sophie truly believe being a Brand Ambassador is that simple? Tomorrow, she's going to be the most embarrassed and foolish model at the airport.
