I walked downstairs after getting ready and stuff, since school was in an hour, still trying to decipher the pages, which were floating around me.
I got to the dining room, which was also part of our massive living room and kitchen because of the house's 'open layout' design. Everyone was there, and already eating. My food was on my regular seat and remained untouched, despite the 4 gluttons at the table. I sat and started emulating them.
My dad and mum were both there as well, and due to my new senses, I got the same feeling, though not of the same magnitude, that I got from Rhakhaiyan. Which meant that both of my parents were more powerful than they were pretending to be.
"Kyran!" Zari shouted, as she shot up from her chair and hugged me. "You were so unresponsive I thought..." She trailed off, not having the heart to finish.
Cleo just sat there, tears in her eyes, until she jumped to hug me as well.
"It's okay, I'm here, I'm fine." I consoled them. I looked over their shoulders and saw Jason smiling at me, relief coloring his features.
"Well then Kyran, I'm sure you have information that attracts a great deal of interest from the rest of us. Mind sharing?" My dad, Rion, asked with his customary low, lilting voice.
I reestablished the connection with the Grimoire, forcing it to be visible to the rest of them, and understandable.
Their eyes visibly widened in shock, or in the case of my parents, just curiosity. My mother, Selene, opened her palm and all the pages converged and settled there, as a full book.
She read the entire thing in seconds, a shadow of confusion dancing across her face as she handed it to dad, who had a similar reaction, which quickly transformed into happiness.
"Well then Kyran. You seem to have been a late bloomer for a good reason. If someone else told me these were the abilities of a Class 1, First Deviation human, I wouldn't have believed them. And let's not talk about your Reality or what makes it up, nor the fact that you are the first person in all of Zion to be walking multiple paths of power, of which you can use all of them at some point."
He handed the book to the rest, and it gave me some satisfaction when I saw them make that same starry-eyed look I made when they described their abilities.
"Off to school with you, children. Make sure to have fun," Mum said. Then she looked at me, "And Kyran, make sure not to kill anyone."
She knew me so well.
"At the very least, I plan on making sure they never forget what I do today."
She just smiled, and shooed us off with even more conviction. We all shouted our salutations and left the house.
We stopped at the panini place, and ordered our usual. We sat down and while we waited for the food to come, we had to address an urgent situation.
The Asura Squad was not only a group made of the most powerful students in our school( of which I was definitely part of), it was also our go-to team for government missions and private contracts, earning us both money and privilege.
It currently had 8 members-a Captain, a Vice-Captain, and multiple other positions that were made to create a balanced and powerful team- three of which were the fam.
To become a member, you had to either defeat the member currently holding the position you wanted...
Or you had to make a display of power so overwhelming that no one contested you.
"So what exactly is your plan?" Jason asked, punching my shoulder.
"I plan on doing the steamroll option, of course. And get some revenge/training in the process." I said with a malicious smile.
Our paninis came.
"And how do you want to do this?" Raven asked.
"It's a surprise." I winked.

We got off the Ark.
This time I didn't hide or run, I walked with confidence, praying that someone would try me before I got to implement my plan.
We walked to the principal's office, wanting to use the P.A system to make an announcement. I walked through the door, and asked the teacher on duty if I could make an announcement. He was thankfully in a good mood and said yes.
"Testing, one-two, one-two. This is Kyran Lost Hunter. I am here today to use my Wildcard. I challenge every student in Fifth Year, Division 3 to a 1 v 142136 battle, the exceptions being Zariah Hunter, Jason Ross, Raven Ross, and Vera Wilson. The only rule is no killing, there will be healers that can bring you back from even the brink of death. You'll need it. Fuck you all."
A Wildcard was the official name for a ticket each student had, viable to challenge a position on the Asura Squad once a year. I obviously left out my family from the challenge, while Vera was a friend of Zari, and also a member of the Asura Squad. I was going for just enough to get the spot, and nothing more, since at a certain level it stops being oh, he's a prodigy to burn that monster.
That went out the window when I saw, truly saw, the way people acted around Raven. They were reverent of her, they knew what she could do, and they acted like she was a god. The second she showed weakness, BAM! They're back to making her life miserable. If I was to go with my normal plan, I would just become a less respected version of Raven, strong enough to fight back, but permanently seen as weak, and therefore treated as such.
I despised that idea.
So if they wanted a monster to burn, I would give them the fire and dare them to do shit.
I was pissed beyond measure, only needing an outlet for my anger, and a stage to showcase my strength. Both of which could be obtained through beating the fuck out of my entire year.
I was tired of being the one people underestimated, and I was tired of conforming to the hierarchy of society.
We could be hated, we could be loved, or revered, we didn't give a fuck. But we would never, ever be looked down upon.
'You should really try to calm down' Reverend pleaded with me.
Insanity was singing more to my tune. 'Well then Kyran, let's have some fun now, shall we?'
Oh yes we would.
CRACK!
I jumped, because not only did that thought get projected into Reality, My own was showing through, causing Reality around me to break and shatter, revealing those eyes and mouths, with Primordial Flames and Unholy lightning burning in their depths. It was as if the aura I was emitting had the entirety of Zion within it, with every single phenomena, race and thought racing around inside, it was a beautiful tapestry of Realities. If one looked deeper, they would see...things, horrors, creatures that were the antithesis of all that was right and holy, terrors that had no right to even exist, and powers that were so warped and potent they defied all reasoning.
And I was its God.
The entire school walked to the Arena, raring to witness what they believed was going to end in absolute embarrassment. There was a betting pool, with odds against me 1,000,000 to 1. The fam actually bet all their money on me, knowing a business opportunity when they saw one.
Once I got outside, I circulated Reverend Flames through my body, using my Ichor as a conduit. Then I jumped. I jumped as high as I could, which was barely 12 meters.
That wouldn't do.
I used the Asura Path to remove my weight by controlling gravity Aether. I reversed it, and shot up into the sky, the wind blowing through my hair and the slight chill biting into my smile. I could stay up here forever and ever... and ever... and ever....
Focus.
I shook my head and made gravity in relation to me move sideways, in the direction I wanted to go, effectively flying.
I happened to be late, since that plan went a lot better in my head.
I stopped right above the Arena, picking a bunch of leaves and branches out of my hair. It was a veritable ocean of people, all raring to see my head on a pike(metaphorically of course... right?). There was a referee, in the Third Deviation, and multiple healers all here with me up here. He sensed me there and looked at me. I nodded and he commanded that match to start.
"The rules are simple, the match would end only when the entirety of the one side can't fight anymore. The second you reach that point, you will be automatically teleported out of the Arena and healed.
Let the match begin!"
The other side was confused, thinking that I was to scared to come out, or I awakened a stealth ability.
I decided to start with a bang.
I took control of hundreds of streams of wind aether, agitating them by forcing them to flow faster and faster. I used Reverend Flames to keep infusing pure mass and thermal energy into each individual molecule, turning them into mini stars. While making them highly unstable so that on impact they would collapse into... whatever.... and hopefully destroy the opposition.
I was working off pure instinct here, but it seemed to work.
The more I kept agitating, the less I could control them. It would soon reach a point where I would be just as helpless as my dear victims.
Hehe.
Even the referee and healers were looking at me with fear.
I saw a shift in the loosely packed sea below me. They had looked up.
Another shift, that of confusion. Wondering why there was a second sun.
The last shift I observed. Panic. Fearfully noting the second sun hurtling towards them.
I shot them downwards, displacing the space they were in, making them faster. I then infused Reverend Flames into their velocity vector, putting their top speed at exactly 256 MPH.
They hit the ocean a second later.
I infused their healing factor with Reverend Flames, even still, most of them that were in the impact zone were instantly teleported out.
I multiplied gravity below me, shooting down almost as fast as the streams. I used Insanity to absorb all of the energy produced, then redirected it into the ground, shattering it.
By this point, everyone on left on their side-exactly 64,768 people- realized they were fucked.
The "whatever" I had produced from the artillery... seemed to be.... Really. High. Gravity.
Singularities.
Or, you know...
Black Holes.
I grew increasingly worried at how easy it was to mess up a place with a little bit of carelessness.
If nothing was to happen, the whole planetoid would be ruined beyond recognition.
I used the Preta Path to create creatures that would have been associated with them, in nature, creating Void Hawks. The black holes disappeared( good). So I ordered them to rip apart one half of the survivors.
For the other half, I just decided to refine my telekinesis, and crush them.
They survived.... -ish
We shouted up to the heavens, a mad smile on our face and an exultant dirge in our voice.
We were free!
Free! Free! Free!
I had dreamed of this day so much I had it planned down to the second. But before the useless sacks of flesh, and the free rein to do as I wished to alleviate my anger...
No plan could have survived.
By the time I was done, no one was dead, in fact they were all perfectly healed, just unconscious, with tortured smiles on their faces.
"Ahem!" I coughed, trying to signal the referee to call my win.
He looked at me with wariness, bordering on disgust, and declared "The winner of the 1 v 142136 Asura Squad Placement battle is Kyran Hunter!" He then looked at me, his eyes a dangerous orange, and said in a quieter voice, "I hunt down monsters like you for a living, and I would gladly kill a child if others his age could sleep better. So watch yourself."
He put a "friendly" hand on my shoulder then walked away.
Naturally, I ignored him(and my half broken shoulder).
I looked at the crowd, looking in all their eyes at once, enjoying them squirm, enjoying them regret.
I winked.
I teleported next to my family. Zari had long since covered Cleo's eyes. They looked at me with understanding, knowing that I would have done this one day.
"So that was the mass hospitalization you talked about. That was something." Jason joked.
"I know right? And it was so freeing too." I lightly responded "Sorry you all had to see that though."
"It's good." Zari and Cleo said at the same time, although Cleo couldn't see.
Raven just stood up and kissed me.
People around us gave me an almost 200 seat wide berth. They couldn't scramble fast enough to get away from me.
Hated, loved, or revered, didn't care. As long as I was on top.
And that fire was coming along nicely.
