Aedhira, walking along the desolate surface of Lokir, observed the vast expanse of space and the colossal presence of Veria. The cold, metallic reflection of the barren landscape mirrored the emptiness he felt within.
"Argos, why Lokir? Why not on Veria?" Aedhira questioned, his visor revealing the glint of curiosity in his sapphire eyes.
[Your mother and father, in their wisdom, decided that Lokir would serve as a sanctuary, a place of solitude where you could reflect and understand your purpose without the distractions of Veria.]
[But as your Aide, I believe it had to do with the fact that you are not old, not mature enough to face Verian society.]
[Verians, be it the humans, the elves, the devils or angels themselves, all of them, in general are a power-mongering race, especially the strongest ones. For good reason of course, but even then...
Only with power, comes authority, and while you have vast untapped potential, at the end of the day-]
[....]
[At the end of TOday, it remains just that-potential]
Aedhira sighed, realizing the weight of his existence and the responsibility placed upon him. He turned away from the starry expanse, facing the doors that led back inside.
In reality, it wasn't that serious, like many organic children, Aedhira was having his 'gaining consciousness' moment'
Aedhira furrowed his brows, looking around, in the vast and desolate emptiness of Lokir....for no one in particular.
He stared at Veria, then looked at several other moons orbiting it. Many moons. Several dozens.
Some had sprinkles of light among their surfaces, indicating signs of intelligent life. Some were colored strangely.
And some were just as lifeless and metallic as Lokir seemed to be.
"As poetic as that sounds, it's quite lonely out here. Let's go back inside, Argos. There's much to uncover, and I can't do it staring into the abyss of space."
[As you wish, Sire. Follow the trail on your HUD.]
The doors closed behind him, shutting out the cosmic silence. As Aedhira walked through the familiar corridors of the armory, he contemplated the mysteries of his own creation, and perhaps, the story that caused it.
