Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - Ordinance

Aedhira's incredulous gaze swept across the massive armory that stretched into the inky distance, filled with an array of weaponry and an army of metal and ether constructs. His alabaster skin seemed to glisten with a newfound luster as he took in the awe-inspiring sight.

The dormant legions of metal soldiers stood in disciplined formations, each a testament to the ingenuity of his creator. These were not mere automatons but formidable machines crafted with an intricate blend of technology and magic. Their frames ranged from imposing giants to agile scouts, their shapes varied to suit the specific requirements of an imagined conflict. It was as if the room held an entire world's worth of combat potential.

As he ventured deeper into the armory, he discovered that it wasn't just the soldiers that stood at the ready. There were fleets of aerial units, sleek ships designed for interstellar exploration, and even underground units. It was as though every aspect of warfare had been meticulously considered and equipped for, with each unit poised to serve a specific purpose in the grand scheme of battle.

Aedhira's thoughts swirled with questions and concerns. What had prompted the creation of such a formidable arsenal? Why had his creator left him here, surrounded by an army of metal and ether? The room itself seemed to resonate with an eerie sense of purpose, as though it awaited a command to awaken these constructs.

The homunculus took a cautious step forward, his fingers brushing the cool metal of one of the soldiers. The touch elicited a faint hum from the construct, a reminder that they were not inanimate but dormant, like silent sentinels of an uncertain future.

"Who were you made to fight?" Aedhira muttered, his words echoing in the cavernous space. It was a question that seemed to hang in the air, unanswered, shrouded in the enigma of his creator's intentions.

As he continued to explore the armory, Aedhira's thoughts turned to the knowledge he had gleaned from the library. The conflict with the Nightmare, the role of the Argonauts, and the power of his own heart infused with Ruin and Creation weighed heavily on his mind.

Perhaps this armory was meant to serve as a bulwark against the encroaching chaos, or maybe it held a different purpose altogether.

"What on earth would require this much firepower?"

[You will find out...soon]

"How ominous" Aedhira drawled.

He walked through rows upon rows of metal.

Dark.

Cold.

There wasn't a sign on life in this place-

"Except for me" he quietly said. Yet, it echoed back to him several times over.
