"Yeah, dad?" I pick up the call.
"Ace? were you sleeping?"
"No, was about to. Why did you call?"
"Can't I?" He chuckles. "I was just thinking to visit you, it's been a while, your mom misses you really much."
"I also miss mom, how's Ally?"
"She's doing good, keeps talking about you though."
"Dad, i'm always busy here even if you visit we won't be able to have a proper talk."
"True but your mom is dying to see you."
"Alright alright, I can't say no to mom."
"So we'll be there tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?!"
"Yeah..?"
Katy is also gonna come to my house tomorrow.
"Uhh, Dad? why don't you guys visit next week?"
"No son, your mom already packed her bags and she's ready to leave, you know I can't say no to her."
I sigh. I think for a while before answering.
"Ok. I'll be waiting then. Bye."
"Great, bye."
Do I have to call Katy now?
This is so tiresome.
Katy is my ex girlfriend, we're still good friends and my mom hates her, don't know for what reason.
If her and my mom end up seeing each other, the atmosphere would change.
Next Morning
I wake up suddenly as I felt someone sit on my bed.
"Katy?"
"Good Morning?" She smiles.
I forgot she still has the keys to my place.
"I thought you were an intruder." I get up and wear my t-shirt.
"You're calling me an intruder?" She also gets up and follows behind me as I walk towards the wardrobe. "Whatever, I did call you but you didn't pick up."
"My phone is dead."
"Like dead-dead?"
"I forgot to charge it before sleeping."
"Hmm, you're always like this, by the way how do I look?" I turn around and she spins around.
She's wearing a short and tight purple dress.
I nod as I take my towel.
She looks at me as if expecting a better reaction.
"Hmm, it's good." I say again.
"It was really expensive I got it especially made from my designer."
"Hm."
"Now that I wore it all the girls would also want this dress."
I take my toothbrush and put toothpaste on it.
"Oh and you're still with that girl…uh what's her name-"
"Helena?"
"No…"
"Ava?"
"Nooo."
"Emily? Sophia? Grace? Raya?"
"No- wait who's Raya?"
I stop for a second.
"My neighbour." I finish brushing my teeth and look at her. "And my coworker."
"You slept with your neighbour?"
"Uhm, yeah."
She'll never know.
"I know the other girls, almost all of them are my friends but I didn't know you also slept with your neighbour plus coworker." She says and shrugs afterwards. "Well, I guess no one can say no to you."
"I know."
"When you lived in the other house, did you also sleep with the neighbo-"
"No. I don't go to them, they come to me."
"Ooh, of course, she definitely saw you and had to. What apartment does she live in?"
"The one right in front of mine."
"Ohh, so that's why…" She sighs. "You shouldn't go around and sleep with anyone."
"What can I do? she wouldn't stop, she just wanted me so bad and as a good neighbour I
couldn't say no."
I look at her and smug smile.
"Now i'll take a shower then we can talk." I say closing the bathroom door.
I turn on the shower and let the water run down on my body.
No girl ever refused to date or sleep with me. I used to study with Katy in college, one day she asked me out and I said yes, I didn't care, I just wanted to date so my parents and my friends would stop taunting me.
Everytime I would tell someone that i'm single they'd always wanted me to meet with 'someone they know' and to be honest it was getting annoying, so that's why I started dating Katy.
When my mom met Katy she instantly hated her, she would always say that she is a bad influence on me and she was kind of right. After dating her for two years I broke up with her because of how possessive she was getting.
I didn't even like her.
I am too sure that I can never fall in love, it's not my cup of tea.
I can have any girl I want and that's the thing that irritates me for some reason, they always fall for my looks… and maybe my big d*ck.
Something that I don't understand, why doesn't Raya get seduced by me?
It's not that I want her to get seduced or want to seduce her but she just doesn't even glance, like who in their right minds would not look at someone as attractive as me?
I've never seen her with a boy, she's definitely single and a virgin.
Does that mean she's innocent?
No, definitely not. She's not innocent.
Why does she look innocent though?
"Virgin." I scoff as I wipe my body with a towel and wrap it around my waist.
I walk out and go towards the kitchen, Katy is sitting on the couch.
"You're gonna walk around like this?" She asks.
"Yeah." I pour juice in a glass.
"Trying to seduce me?"
"Are you getting seduced?"
"Of course. Who wouldn't?"
I smug smile almost a smirk.
She gets up and walks towards me. Getting really close to me she trails her hand on my chest.
Suddenly the door bell rings.
Oh shit. It must be mom and dad.
"Wait here." I say and walk towards the door forgetting that i'm just with a towel on.
I open the door and good thing that i'm just with my towel.
"Hey neighbour?" I place my hands on both sides of the doorframe.
"Is this yours?" She shows me a handkerchief.
"Hmh, it is."
"Why did you put this in my bag?"
"I didn't maybe you took it."
"Why would I want your dirty handkerchief?"
"That's the point, it was used by me, so you took it home and smelled it all night while-"
She throws it at me.
"So you used it and now you're giving it back?"
"Wake up, you're not dreaming." She mocks. "And-"
"Who is it?" Katy walks towards the door.
"You can leave." I say to Raya.
She rolls her eyes and goes to her apartment.
Katy stands behind me looking outside.
"Who was it?"
"My neighbour."
"Why? What happened?"
"She gave me my handkerchief. I left it at her house last night."
"Oh so that's why you forgot to charge your phone because you were busy all night?"
"What can I say, she's a wild cat."
"She's wild?"
"She is."
"Why was she talking like tha-"
"Forget it, why don't we continue?" I change the topic as I close the door behind me.
As soon as I get close to her my phone starts to ring.
"Shit, what's with the interruptions today?"
Katy chuckles, I walk towards my bedroom, unplug my phone and answer.
"Hello?"
"Sir, your schedule has changed, Mr. Roberto will visit for the meeting today at 9:30AM."
"Huh? It was scheduled for tomorrow."
"Yes Sir but he has to go back to Spain tomorrow."
"Is that my problem?"
"But Sir it's an important deal."
"Fine." I hang up and sigh out of frustration.
"What happened?" Katy asks.
"I have to leave right now." I take my clothes and walk to the dressing room.
"Really?" Katy sits on the bed and sighs.
"Yeah, really." I grab my stuff and go towards the door.
"Can I come?"
"What are you gonna do there?"
"Please? I'll be bored here."
If I leave her here and my mom sees her, she'll definitely get angry.
"Ok." I close the door and take the elevator.
"Perfect." She follows me.
25 minutes later
As soon as I enter the office Raya also steps in. We walk and apperantly we are going the same direction which is the elevator.
We stand outside the elevator waiting for it to come down. For some reason I find this funny. Katy keeps applying lipstick as she looks at herself in the small mirror she's holding.
I look at my right side where Katy is standing and then at my left were Raya is standing. I glance at Raya, she could've at least said 'good morning' as a formality after all i'm her senior.
Ding
The elevator opens, we enter and the door closes, it's just three of us here. As soon as Raya lifts her hand to press the button I quickly press the button to the highest floor.
I can tell she's frustrated.
Why don't I frustrate her more?
