Chereads / Mischief and Dai-Jin / Chapter 33 - XXXIII. Her

Chapter 33 - XXXIII. Her

This is not good, not good, not good.

Out of everything I just learned, all the chaos, the danger… out of all of it, how is it that my mind seems to only focus on him? What the hell? Why is this happening to me?

'Have been since I met you, thanks for noticing!'

That bastard. He knows what he's doing, and he's doing on fucking purpose. He knows what he making me feel, I can feel it, he fucking knows it, and he keeps doing it. Does he has no sense of danger at all?

Why did he offer me his bike? Just for me to think about the fact that I'll be driving for an hour on the road, sitting in the same place he must have sat countless times? Just for me to hold onto where he held before? Just for me to feel the ghost of his touch when I drive that damn bike?

How can he say he trust me that easily? What if I'm a backstabber?

I mean, I'm not, but Jesus? Does he has trust issues? What the hell is with that confidence of his?

'Don't we make a good team? Thor and Loki?' *winks*

I can't believe he was audacious enough to flirt with me so bloody shamelessly in front of appa like that. God, is he fearless or something? And lightning powers? For real? Why did he had to be so strong, and so powerful, at the same time as smart, and funny, and tall, all while being the hottest men I've ever laid my eyes on?

Mans like that weren't suppose to exist outside books, damn it.

A knock came from my door as I was packing my things, startling the living shit out of me, "Come in!"

After a second, uncle Daniel came inside, looking as if he had just been kidnapped by aliens, used as an experiment subject, saw the sun from up close, and thrown back to earth. "I think I'm hallucinating, Missy," he cried, closing the door and sitting in front of it, legs folded.

I held the urge to laugh, knowing that he has just been having a little private talk with appa and Dai-Jin's dad, and that they were showing him about the 'truth' of the world, magic and all that shit, since that was the only thing I imposed to accept going to Valhalla, to let uncle Daniel be apart of everything, because I refused to lie to him about the fact that I'm going to a Hogwarts-wannabe kind of academy.

"I felt the same way," I chuckled softly.

"You have MAGIC, Missy!"

"Seems like I do, though it's blocked."

"MAGIC EXISTS," he yelled, eyes widened. "This is so cool."

"Did you see appa's shit? He's an air bender!" I chuckled.

"And Yoshihiro is a fire bender!" He passed his hands over his hair. "Ari is a water bender. Your brother is also an air bender. And you might end up being a fire bender," his eyes widened. "That will be disastrous."

"Did you see Dai-Jin's power?" I pressed my lips together.

He let out a curse, "That brat said I wasn't ready."

Grinning, I turned to him, "It's thunder."

Uncle's light brown eyes almost popped, "LIKE THOR?"

I nodded, chuckling, "My same reaction."

"That's Batshit crazy, Missy. That brat has the best one!"

Him and appa with the shadows. "He does."

"I think he has a crush on you," he spoke when I began to gather a pile of five empty notebooks I decorated like grimoires a year ago, and put in one of my bags, and I almost choked on my saliva. "He's annoying but a powerful kid, and he saved your life. I won't mind if you two make out."

"Uncle Danieeeeellll!"

"What? Come on, that boy is annoyingly gorgeous. He's so pretty it makes me what to punch his face. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a human that fucking pretty. Are we sure he's human? I mean… are any of you really human?" He chuckled. "You are all pretty. You are absolutely gorgeous and so is your sister, who looks like Felicity. Jesus, she looks so much like your mom that when I first saw her I almost tripped."

"Well, at least you didn't have a breakdown, acted like some kind of insane psycho and almost jumped at her," I scoffed bitterly at myself, feeling guilty just remembering how much of a bitch I was. "Will you stay here in Chicago for me, ahjussi?"

"Of course, I will. In fact, I'm already looking for a place around the neighborhood. I don't want to live in this penthouse. I want a place where I'll have my own office so I can work for you on it. There's lots of things to take care in the conglomerate, though Sofi does most of the big work, it's still a lot to me, since I got used to just being a lawyer."

"We both know you were never just our lawyer, ahjussi!"

"Well, no, which is why I'm able to work for you like this, Missy, but being a lawyer was my main occupation. So, that's that. Thankfully I have lots of good lawyers in my firm, that are taking over my part, since you made me the acting chairman under you!" He sighed. "Ugh, I miss my love life, I miss a good man in bed."

"Ugh, me too," I muttered too loudly and his eyes popped, then we both just laughed at it.

"Just take him to bed," he scoffed. "You have an incredible option."

"Incredibly dangerous option," I corrected.

"An option still, and you like danger, I know you, little arsonist!"

I felt my cheeks burning, "At this rate the nickname will be catchy."

"With all due respect, just commenting on the boy," he chuckled, "he is gigantic, ain't he? I don't think I've ever seen anyone that huge in front of me, in person. You shouldn't lose the opportunity, Missy. Really, sweetheart. Your life will be dangerous now, they told me about those said monsters, about the faction whose been spying on you your whole life. Now that you finally found your will to live again, you shouldn't take your chances. If I were you, I would climb that man like a tree."

"Climb who like a tree?" Ari walked through my door and I let out a loud scream and fell on my ass on the carpet, and I'm pretty sure uncle Daniel also jumped out of his skin if his scream was anything to take by. "Oh, sorry," she giggled softly, "I got excited with you knowing we have,"

"You can get intangible?" I gasped in pure shock, eyes wide.

"I can get intangible!" She beamed and jumped on my bed. "So, who are we gossiping about? Who do you wanna climb like a tree?" Her naughty eyes went from uncle Julien to me.

"Nobody," I said embarrassed.

She narrowed her eyes, "We are not talking about Dai, right?"

"Dai who?" I scoffed. "Why would I ever want to climb ahjussi like a tree? He's not my type," I mocked lying, and uncle side-eyed me.

"Oh, come on, he's everyone's type," Ari rolled her eyes. "Even I, as a lesbian, have thought about climbing him like a tree at least once. He can be very attractive. And I don't even like cocks," she mocked. "Well, if he was a woman, I would have definitely scissored him."

We both chuckled at that, "He would make a hot women," uncle giggled. "And I don't even like women. But damn, he would be hot."

"A gay, a lesbian, and a bisexual in a room, the best," I chuckled.

"I tried kissing a boy once, I like puking my guts off," she stared at nothing, eyes wide with regret as if she could remember it vividly. "Thank Gods it was Magnus, because he felt the same way. I learned I was a lesbian with him, and he learned he was gay with me. Amazing, no regrets, no hard feelings. Just bad memories, we still cringe when we remember that. We were 14, it was weird."

"Magnus is Adèle's cousin, right?" She nodded at me. "Adèle is my type of girl," I tilted my head, "I am kind of weak to redheads, though brunettes are still my ultimate type. With respect, your girlfriend is the most pretty out of the girls."

"She is, ain't she?" She beamed like a kid with a crush. "You will definitely have a little crush on Anahit then, she's really gorgeous, tanned skin, black hair, honey eyes, small boobs, big ass, long legs. I'm still more into my girlfriend, she's the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen, and I have a thing for Indian girls. I think I always had a crush on her, always, but she's bisexual and I was unsure if she would like me that way or not. I dated a different girl first, from Valhalla."

"What happened?" Uncle asked, noticing her nose crunching softly.

"Kalyani Meera Shivali Zacharias Twashta Kasar, I was 14, she was 3 months older than me, than us," she pointed to me. "Earth element, she can talk to huskies, and has the ability of turning invisible. She asked to be my girlfriend, I had a little crush on her because she was taller than me, and well, Indian-American, and we dated for five months. Until my birds helped me catch her cheating on me with Matthias Bjørnebye, a year older than us, from Dai and Four's grade, also an earth elementalist like her, able to talk with Chihuahuas, and having the ability read the mind of anyone weaker than him. I got so mad I flooded his entire room, where I found her."

Clenching my fists, I felt angered just hearing about it, "Are those two pieces of shit still in Valhalla?"

"Yes. No one leaves Valhalla until graduation, it would be stupid to do that, because of the beasts and all. But don't worry, after I flooded the room, Four and Dai heard about it and beat the shit out of him, while the girls all got together to give Kalyani a beating too. Dai still haunts them every time they pass around, he is a bit protective of me, he has me like a sister, despite our bickering. He's also best friends with Four, though they don't called it what it is. With Diego too, his cousin," she laid back, eyes on the ceiling. "They are all protective of me."

"As they should," I got back to packing everything Dai-Jin told me to when I asked him what I should take first. "Ari, what's Dai-Jin's Soul power?" She sat down as soon as I asked.

"No one knows, not even Four. It's one of the biggest mysteries of Valhalla. I only heard appa, aunt Aria, and uncle Hiro saying that he's really powerful, and that, like his element, it's something never seen before, and that he's of catastrophic class through and through," what?

"What do you think my powers will be?" I changed subjects, so she won't notice or poke on my interest in him. "Dai-Jin said you're highly sensitive to magic, something like that."

A nod, "To be honest? I think you will either be a fire elementalist or something like Dai, a deviant. Your Soul powers will definitely be the catastrophic type, Sera, I have no doubt about it. I don't know if all the five you must have will, but definitely the majority of it will. What I feel from you is… how do I put it? It's destructive, like being near a nuclear bomb."

"Sweet baby Jesus, this world is doomed," uncle mocked.
