Chereads / Mischief and Dai-Jin / Chapter 9 - IX. Him

Chapter 9 - IX. Him

I couldn't help the laugh that came out of me like a bark, and all of their eyes glared at me, "Sorry," I covered my mouth with my hand. "What do you mean by troublemaker, otou-san? Like me, or something else?"

"My sister is not like you," Abby barked.

"You don't know that," I grinned mischievously.

"What do you mean by troublemaker, zio Hiro," she turned to him.

"I can't believe you just called my daughter a troublemaker!" Zio yelled in pure dismay. "Elaborate, Yoshihiro, before I punch you!"

Oh my, what a show. Yeji just gained more points with me.

Otou-san clicked his tongue and kept avoiding zio's eyes. "When I got the little info on her and her family, I also found one single file, that had also been added there like in display, for me to find it. For whatever reason, she deliberately free that for me. In that file, there were 4 closed cases of the police," that shut everyone up, even me, though I was holding my laugh. "First, a girl named Lia Lambrechts accused Mischief of exploding her car, destroying her fridge, throwing gasoline in her room and closet and setting it on fire, and of breaking her nose." Savage.

"What?" Four gasped in shock. "That must be a mistake."

"Mischief confessed that she did do all of that. She was almost 14, and it happened on a summer, in Sofia. According to her, Lia was her ex-girlfriend, and she caught her cheating, then, she destroyed everything she had bought for her girl while they were dating. The car, the fridge, the bed, and her wardrobe and the tv on her room. It was archived after her lawyer came into the picture, definitely bribing the local police."

Before any of us could speak, he kept going, "The second time, the next summer when she was almost 15, also in Sofia, it was a boy who came to accuse her of a crime, Edgar Noir, 17 years old at the time. He accused her of breaking his bike and his car with a baseball bat, then of breaking his nose, punching his left eyes, and kicking him in the dick thrice, then setting his bike and his car on fire," his seriousness cracked for a second but he held in the chuckle. "He was with a girl called Sandrine Delafosse, which he claimed to be his best friend, and Mischief had also broken her nose, slapped her face, and kicked her in the ribs."

Zio's jaw dropped, "What did she… what did she say?"

"She confessed again, saying she did that and would do it all again, because she was dating Edgar and he cheated on her with Sandrine, and she caught them on the act. Then, she beat them up and destroyed the car and the bike she had given him. Again, it was closed the second her lawyer came into the picture," he licked his lips, holding a grin.

I can't help but to feel great that she's bissexual and not a lesbian. "She's bissexual!" Abby clapped her hands, focusing on the same thing.

"Apparently, yes," otou-san nodded.

"And the 3rd case?" Four asked, still dumbfounded.

"It was again on the end of the summer before she turned 17, last year. A girl called Stela Chinezu came to accuse her of setting her holiday home and her car on fire, as well as of breaking her nose and left wrist, and of punching her right eye, and grabbing her hair and hitting her head on a wall. Again, Mischief confessed that she did do that, and that she had also beaten a boy called Marin Toma, who was Stela's friend, whom she was cheating on her with. This time, she also had bruises on, a purple eye, and marks on her neck. She said she only destroyed the house and car because she had bought it for Stela, and she also handed the proof of her purchase. The case was close as soon as her lawyer came to her."

"They hurt her?" Zio punched the wall behind him, we all flinched.

"I think her emotional wounds were worse than the physical, Silas," zia Victoria finally spoke, looking hurt for Yeji. "Being cheated on three times, after devoting herself so much, enough to buying them cars, bikes, and even a house, only to be stabbed on the back and catch them in the act. She undoubtedly must have trust issues."

That idea made me restless, sick. "What about the 4th, otou-san?"

Sigh, "You said she hasn't been on the internet since when?"

I swallowed, "June 14th."

A nod, "The 4th case happened on June 14th, that must be why she blocked off everything else. She didn't confess on this one, but there was no need given her historic. A 22-year-old guy called Drago Srećković and his proclaimed best friend Corina Marshall made the accusation. This time, she had set his garage with his car, his mom's, the frontal chrysanthemum garden, the girl's car, and up to the living room of the house, burning the carpet where they were in. She also broke both of their noses, slapped them, kicked Drago on the dick, and reportedly," he cracked a laugh, "stole the last slice of a lemon pie she had made for the boy, whom she had been dating since March, after he courted her for two months."

That was it, no one was able to hold their laughter on the fact that she had stolen the last slice of a lemon pie, and the idiot reported that to the police. I had to lean on the wall at my back to hold myself from laughing.

"Oh, and this one is even worse," otou-san spoke again, serious. "She had only bought the boy's car, and apparently her relationship with his mom was not good, which he reasoned to why she burned his mom's beloved garden and her car, and his best friend's car too on an angry fit." Them he side-eyed zio Silas, "Seems like she got your temper. And it gets worse, because she had gotten Drago and Corina jobs in her family's rich conglomerate, which I got nothing on, not even the name. Her lawyer came in, in the middle of the night, and took care of everything, saying that it was a pity because aside from her mom, everyone considered Drago her best boyfriend, even herself."

Okay, now I'm angry again.

"I'm going to murder him," Four stood up, as angry as I'm feeling. "You said she lives in Sofia, Bulgaria? I'll go there right fucking now and I'll skin this piece of shit alive. He's older than me and messing with a girl like my little sister? He's going to pay for that."

"You beat him up, I'll take care of Corina," Abby hissed.

So, she does has some flame in her. I'm surprised.

"Sit down you two," zio Silas growled, but he seemed to share his kids' mindset, which I do too. "She dealt with them, she's apparently quite skilled at going arsonist-mode in those who betray her. Hah, an arsonist, how amazing, you should have told me before that she's the good kind of troublemaker, jerk," he pursed his lips. That's how he call me, the good kind of troublemaker. "Do you think she could be like us?"

"We are all kind of otherworldly, and as she's your daughter of all, and with this temper, then yes. Maybe she could," otou-san mocked. "Who knows? That might be how she caught all of her exes on the act."

"We all know how that feel," Four mocked haunted.

"But four times?" Abby growled. "I don't think we do."

She has a point, "What do we do know?" I asked when no one said a word, turning to zio. "How are we going to go to her? To approach her family? She hacked us, so she definitely knows she's your daughter, zio. And if she connects the dots, she'll know Acqua is her twin sister too." She has acqua blue hair, according to herself, that's why I call her that now, she hates it. "They don't look much alike, but maybe Acqua is identical to their mom, she'll definitely be able to tell. But she hasn't tried any contact."

"It's been half a month," he clenched his jaw, thinking. "You go to her, Dai-Jin. Go with the jet," everyone gasped at that, Four and Abby are probably dying with jealousy right now, and so must be the others. "You are an attractive young men, and you're the only one here who followed her on the internet, you will be able to talk to her better than any of us. You are also the only of the kids who is fluent in both Korean and Bulgarian, that will help," well, no one can argue with that.

"He'll seduce her!" Four and Abby accused me, annoyed.

"Me?" I gasped dramatically. "I would never."

"Papa!" They growled.

"Enough," zio yelled, and while they flinched, my grin widened. "Dai-Jin in the only one out of you kids who's capable of this. I told you to study Korean, didn't I?"

"We've watched the dramas, we could-" Four tried.

"Dramas and Kpop do not make you fluent," zio growled. "If it all works, Dai-Jin will bring them to us, she'll stay with you, she's your sister, you will be able to spend time with her." He turned to me, "I'll give you a week, leave tonight on the jet, and bring whoever is there with her. If her mom isn't there, or her grandparents, come either way and then, when she's here with me, I'll find a way to bring them later. My daughter comes first!"

I nodded, doing my best not to look as excited as I actually am.

"I'll be back with her by half that time," I exclaimed and ran to the door of the office. "I'll take a quick bath and then I'm out. Eomma, talk with the pilot to get the jet ready. I won't disappoint, zio."

"Condescending asshole!" Abby yelled at me, jealous.
