Katarina's POV
Looking at the two of them had me fuming in anger. Who did they think they were barging into my room like that?
Had they not done enough damage already? George had pushed me out of the house and gone for my little sister. He also had my name removed from the company shares. I had used my sweat and blood to add to the company making it what it was.
And after everything I had done I had been pushed aside like I was nothing. How was I to react to that?
I was so mad I couldn't even talk about the thing she had done to me. But why was he here? And was he recording me in my underwear?
I grabbed my shirt and wore it.
"What do you think you're doing?" I asked the man in anger.
I watched George whisper to Riley to stop recording before going to the stranger I had been kissing. He paid the man a wad of cash which had the stranger jumping for joy before leaving the room.
George locked the door, leaving the three of us to have a standoff.
"What did you do?" I asked him as he shrugged.
"I did what any sensible person would do. I got rid of my cheating wife by paying off a man who would take out the trash for me."
"What are you talking about?"
"I had the man hit on you and make out with you so I can expose you as a cheater. And since your parents already know about how violent you can be due to what we told them, you are a cheater and a physical abuser. Not a very good look on you."
"You can't keep lying and getting away with it. This ends now. No one will believe your words."
He pointed at the phone in his hand and Riley's hand.
"I think we have our evidence right here," he smirked. "Oh and I almost forgot about the one above the bed."
I looked back to see a camera hidden behind the burning lamp at the ceiling.
"How about I show you the footage I got?"
He got out his phone, tapped on the button and suddenly a video of me kissing the stranger and falling into bed with him showed up.
I could not deny that showing my face would be a very terrible thing. Everyone would see me as a cheat.
"Now I'm going to release the video unless you do as I say."
Now he was threatening me. Why would he do such a thing?
"You bastard!" I yelled. "You really want to ruin my life. What did I do to deserve this?"
"I'm sorry babe, but I think we can all agree that this relationship was not bound to work. You might as well call it quits and move on."
"Give me one good reason why you hate me so much to want me gone like this."
I was curious to know what his reason for treating me like this was.
Maybe I had done something wrong to him.
"Nothing. You are just painfully peaceful and I just hate you for it," he complained.
"So you wanted me to be a warrior?"
"What he's trying to say is that he hates you and he doesn't want to be married to someone he hates," Riley explained to me. "He doesn't want you again. Stop trying to steal my man."
"Steal your man?! Girl, I am literally married to him! See the ring on my finger?!"
I raised my finger to show the gold ring on my finger.
"Not anymore," George got out a piece of paper which he handed to me.
"What's this?" I asked without opening it as he waved me to open it.
I opened it to see that it was a divorce paper. Reading through the terms and conditions for the divorce had tears flowing from my eyes.
"No," I shook my head. "I'm not signing this nonsense. So you can take this and shove it up your ass."
He handed a file to me which I opened to see it was for transfer of properties from my name to his.
Every property listed were the wedding gifts he had given me, the presents he had gotten in my name and even the car I rode.
"George, I'm not signing this. You can't force me to sign this," I pleaded with my eyes burning with the tears flowing out. I had cried more times than anyone I knew.
"I was afraid you would say that," he said, putting his hand to his hip pocket to get out a gun.
"Whoa, what are you doing?" I asked, raising my hands up as the papers fell to the ground.
"Making sure I get what I came here for," he said. "Now shut up and sign those papers before I put a bullet through your brain."
My eyes darted to Riley but she was so calm I knew she was in on this.
"You can't tell me you're in on this," I said to my sister who looked away.
"George, we need to hurry up before someone gets in here," she said to him, walking to sit on the bed. "Oh and be quick about it."
George nodded while waving the gun at me.
"Pick up the documents and sign it now!"
I was extremely scared, my insides felt like they would explode.
If anyone had told me that one day I would be standing before my husband who would have a gun to my head with my sister chiding him on, I would have called them a liar.
Signing the document was hard with my hands shaking but I finally did it and gave them to him.
He looked at it and gave me a satisfactory smile.
"I don't regret doing this," he said before a loud bang was heard. "See you in hell."
My body jerked backward as I fell to the floor, feeling my life seeping from my body.
