Chapter 21
Not worth it
"Guys, are you done eating?" Cattie asked them, which made Ara look at her. She had eaten a few minutes ago, but she didn't stand up and leave because she noticed that Maddie was still eating.
"Yeah, I'm done." She answered and smiled.
"Me too," Maddie looked at Jonathan who's looking at them. " Thanks again for this." The man nodded his head.
"No worries."
Ara stood up from her chair and smiled, "Thank you." She's not an ungrateful woman, she know how to be thankful to what they give and do to her.
Jonathan smiled, she's not that cold at all. Her smiling face suits her well. He wondered, what happened to her to be like this, he mean, maybe something really bad happened in her past.
No one was born cold and distant. Something or someone made her like this.
