Chapter 19 - Chapter 17: Elysia, Big Sister

"Doesn't matter, just don't let others see it." He ordered, before walking out from the facility, as he stepped out from his special training room. He stopped.

'Oh Yeah! She is also training.' Asher quickly used his 'Veritas Eyes'. And what he saw was in his expectations.

Past: Three years ago, her life revolved around training with her brother Asher and their father

They were a close-knit family, Elysia was dreaming of becoming heroes like their father. But it shattered when their father died.

All because of Asher. Elysia blames Asher all this time, fueling the deep hatred that has consumed her ever since.

Description: She believes it was you, that's why her father was dead.

You became the embodiment of everything she despised: deceit, betrayal, and the emptiness left by the absence of her father.

You aren't a man anymore, not in her eyes. She hates you to the point of loathing.

You are the Man who walked amongst the living, was already a walking corpse in her eyes. Dead to any semblance of compassion, dead to the possibility of forgiveness, dead to the man he once pretended to be.

Favorability: -82.7% (Utter Hatred - I don't have words for such a hatred man!)

'As expected of this Cunt.' Asher's eyes narrowed as he spotted his sister, Elysia.

While he has yet to show in front of Aurora and Scarlett, he feels disgusted towards her.

He didn't hate Elysia, not quite.

Her existence was simply an inconvenience, she was an annoyance. And as Evaluation stated, the world is better when she isn't alive.

Still the 'Hidden evaluation' was a little surprising, but it didn't matter to him, not even the slightest.

...

Elysia, feeling satisfaction with her current progress took a small break, she wanted to indulge herself, eating a nice dessert.

As she turned towards the exit, her eyes landed on her "beloved" brother. Her smile vanished.

Yes, there she saw her 'deadbeat' brother. The leech. The useless slack of garbage sucking the air out of this room.

Her stomach churned, not with hunger for dessert, but with a raging anger.

"Grrr." Her pupils constricting, her breath quickening. Maybe a low growl escapes her throat. But quickly she calmed down.

"Tsk." Instead she clicked her tongue in dissatisfaction, her mood darkened instantly as she saw Asher face.

It felt natural to show her displeasure in front of such a wimp.

The sight of him, even in his current, enhanced state, did little to change her opinion. 'It makes me want to puke more and more.'

He thinks he's better now, doesn't he? Having undergone the Awakening ceremony, awakened his Anima.

'Yet, he didn't even awaken our family's traditional Anima, And now look at him, acting like he owns the place after barely scraping by in the Awakening.' She scoffed, but he will be the same before or after. A weakling. A spineless coward, clinging to Mom like a frightened child.

Asher, however, treated her like a stain on the floor. He simply brushed past her, heading towards the exit, treating her existence like a fly he could swat away.

"Oh, isn't this touching," Elysia spat, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "My ever-loving brother." The forced cheer in her tone only amplified the simmering rage beneath the surface.

Her hand shot out, almost reaching for Asher's shoulder, before she forced it back down.

Elysia had a strange feeling, she couldn't put it together, but she stopped at that time.

'What just happened?' While lost in thought, Asher ignored her completely, disappearing through the exit without even glancing backward.

And Elysia's blood ran cold, she stood there.

This, the unspoken accusation of her being unworthy of even a glance, hit Elysia in the gut.

Why? How could he be so… emotionless? Didn't he understand their father was dead?

Her jaw clenched so tight her teeth ached. A tremor ran through her hands, making them shake.

Her face looked like an ugly mask, ready to break. She felt the urge to grab that smug face and slam him into the wall.

'But I held back. Not because I couldn't, but because…'

His weakness got Dad killed! He doesn't deserve his Talent. Not after what he did.

'He should be groveling at my feet, begging for forgiveness.' It was his fault their father was dead.

Shouldn't he be devastated, wracked with guilt? He should wimp and cry, yet he was like this clinging to her and her mother.

But wasn't he always like this? Asher was an ignorant brat, he'd always been. He probably didn't even feel the loss of her father.

Her hands clenched into fists, her knuckles turning white, she watched him go. Anger burned within her.

Her deep blue eyes darkened. Instead of continuing towards the exit, she stormed back towards her training room.

As for dessert? Who cared?

She summoned her Anima, It was time to push herself further. Training. It was the only way to forget him.

The only way to become strong enough to crush him. And take her revenge, for her father.

Inside Scarlett's office.

"How… is this… possible?" Scarlett gripped the armrests of her chair, knuckles white, her gaze glued to the hologram showing Asher in his training room.

Her brow furrowed in a mixture of disbelief and pride. A grin stretched across her face.

The data displayed Asher's training results,

Her precious boy was only a Level 0, yet his physical prowess reached almost Tier-1 fighters. He hadn't even awakened Bestia, but he already surpassed those with high-ranked Bestia at their peak. This wasn't just impressive; it was terrifying.

Asher was a miracle, his physical prowess exceeded them by such a large margin that it seemed impossible for any other human at Tier-0 to be born again in the future nor did it happen in the past.

That's how strong Asher is.

"Asher… ." She muttered, her cheeks flushed, with immense pride, along with a kind of excitement that sent shivers down her own spine.

He was her son, and witnessing his potential unfold before her eyes was intoxicating.

Suddenly, she turned her gaze towards Stella, who stood beside her, Scarlett's face devoid of any emotion.

"This stays here, Stella," she muttered, her voice laced with a dangerous possessiveness.

"No one, and I mean no one, learns of this. Until he is strong enough. And anyone who does…" She kept silent, however, Stella understood the meaning…

"I will not let it loose." Stella bowed her head sharply. Keep this with herself, never let this result out, and finish off anyone who gets to know this in the future.

"Thank you, Stella, I don't know what I will do without you." Her cold expression turned into a smile as she said this.

"No, Madam, It's an honour to serve you and your son." She couldn't think of such a prodigy to be born.

Son of Sword Maiden, and one of the greatest talents in history, someone who broke the limits for just recently awakened, a person with a very high Physical boost at level 0! If this doesn't say that Asher's future is the brightest, then what can?

"Thank you, Stella. You're more than just an assistant; you're family."

"And yes, you are right. My Asher, my darling boy, it will indeed be an honour to us all. He'll surpass the founders, the heroes, everyone! He will be the pinnacle, the ultimate weapon!" Scarlett felt her heart beating faster faster, as she imagined Asher reaching new heights.

Somehow it turned her on.

"I wonder what kind of Anima Master Asher has awakened?" Stella muttered, watching the replay of his Anima test.

"His Anima… it's certainly unique. The way he manipulated those claws… perhaps an Artifex with a physical enhancement?" Stella studied the data on the screen, her expression unreadable.

She had noticed those nails held an edge that seemed to defy logic, a sharpness that rivaled Epic-grade Anima without any apparent advancement.

It was sure that the Anima Asher had already surpassed the Legendary grade Anima. His future is truly limitless.

"Unique? It's more than that, Stella, my Asher is special~" Scarlett whispered, her eyes gleaming.

"He…. is unlike anyone else." She leaned back in her chair, a satisfied sigh escaping her lips, overseeing Asher's impassive expression on the screen, his face curious as he inflicted violence.

Despite the features being expressionless and genderless. These holographic dummies were complete replicas of Human anatomy.

The feeling of the body is real, killing or stabbing the experience is eerily similar to harming a real person. Yet, there was no guilt, no disgust, only a hint of… disappointment?

Was he disappointed in the simulation's lack of realism? Or was he disappointed in his own performance?

As Scarlett pondered the question, a chilling thought wormed its way into her mind. Perhaps disappointment wasn't the right word. Perhaps it was... boredom. He was bored.

A shiver ran down her spine, a mixture of fear and excitement.

Her son, her prodigy, was already bored with the limitations of the training facility.

"He needs a challenge," she murmured, a glint of madness dancing in her eyes. "A real one."

Her eyes narrowed, her voice laced with ambition.

The future was uncertain, but one thing was clear – Scarlett would ensure Asher's greatness. As long as he remained on top, as long as he achieved his ultimate potential, no sacrifice would be too great.
