Chapter 21 - Hidden Intention

A huge hot air balloon was moving out of the Tier 3 hell pit. The basket was carrying beings of different races. One of them also had four arms, like Bastien. They belong to a race called Grivvarms.

The four-armed man named Hosman was crossing his arms as he looked at the fortress.

The hot air balloon moved up to the sky, then it kept moving to the west. It was flying to a town that had an ancient style. The houses and shops were made up of wood and bricks. The roads were made up of stones and tiles. There were tropical trees around the town and it was surrounded by a barbed wire fence.

A man was giving a guide. "There are some of you who came to our world for the first time. You should know that it took a long time to confirm that you are eligible to enter our world. You need a good record before you are allowed to come here. If you violated the rules, then you will be blacklisted.

You will be sent back and could never return to our world, so don't waste your opportunity. You are not allowed to move outside the fence unless you have permission. Once we land within the town, I will guide you to where you will register. You will be given an identification. For those who are allowed to go out, a vehicle will carry you out of town. Any question?"

As the beings asked questions to the guide, a smile appeared on Hosman as he watched the bustling town and thought,"Good record? Those people are really capable of making my notorious record look good. Hmm, the meeting point is in what they call Vasteasia region. Hahahaha! This world will be lively soon."

In Mageaf City, the new exonns were moving around the city or visiting the special economic zone called Town Worlds.

Samuel and Rhys were sitting on the edge of a rooftop. They were eating meat balls and watching the lively scene while the rabbit was reading a comic.

Meanwhile, within a room in the association, Argam and Harty were looking at a floating hologram screen with pictures of new exonns that participated in the assessment in Mageaf City.

Easton entered the room. "Have you selected your team?"

Argam operated a tablet. There were four pictures remaining in the hologram.

Easton chuckled. "The team is supposed to be balanced, but aren't you being too much?"

Argam laughed. "I did not take Brielle. I will leave her to you. You know, my mission is dangerous, so I selected them."

Harty had a mocking look on his face. "I thought you were supposed to protect your little brother from danger. Why are you bringing him into danger?"

"Hahahaha! It's a baptism. How is he supposed to survive the battle with demons in other worlds? Besides, I will be with him. Will I let something bad happen to him in front of my eyes?!"

"Hmm, yeah."

"What did you say?!" shouted Argam. "Am I that irresponsible?!"

Harty chuckled. "Based on my experience, yeah."

Argam became speechless.

"Don't worry, I will be there. We are a team. I am covering for your weakness," calmly said by the penguin.

Easton smiled and shook his head. "Is one week enough for their training?"

"Aside from him, the other three needed more training. With their capability, it should be enough," said Argam.

Easton nodded his head. "I hope they can become good baits."

Argam and Harty smiled.

In the evening, the data for battle skill was sent.

Rhys looked at the projection of his skills' analysis. Everything was well balanced. The only weakness was the amount of light energy.

Fu was also looking at the projection. "Are we still going to stay here?"

Rhys smiled and shook his head. "Tomorrow, I will buy materials for smithing. My training will involve magic that cannot be shown to the association. I also need to buy a light magic skill."

"Skill?" The rabbit looked angry. "Are you looking down on the skills that I put in your mind?!"

"You are the great Fushnir. How can I not be satisfied with the skills that came from you?" said Rhys with a chuckle.

The rabbit smiled and nodded his head. "Kid, you are starting to learn how to respect the elderly. Why do you still need to buy magic skills?"

"You already gave the skill that I wanted to buy, but it is an uncommon light magic. If I want the treasure that I receive from Heaven's Gate to look common, then I need to buy an uncommon magic. I might also frequently use it in battle, the light ring magic."

In the morning, Rhys and Fu went to the association again. He was guided by a staff to a room with a huge bronze gate.

"You can only learn Tier one to Tier two skills here. For Tier 3, exonns had to go to the central region," said the staff.

There was an old man sitting cross-legged while floating in the air as light element was gathering toward him.

The old man, named Hendric, opened his eyes.

"Old man, open the gate," said the staff, then the huge gate opened.

Hendric and Rhys went inside.

There was a huge floating white crystal at the center of the hall, and light energy was flowing everywhere. A huge magic circle was on the floor with four huge light stones.

Rhys felt fascinated as he stared at the huge crystal with carved magic runes.

"Place your hand on the crystal and say the right word," said Hendric, then his eyes turned sharp. A huge projection appeared behind him. The projection was of a grinning man. Its upper face was covered with a mask. It had a long white beard and a muscular body. "If you say the wrong word, I promise you, I will rip your tongue first before your head."
