The sight of that sinister smile left me with a bad feeling. I felt a shiver run down my spine, but I decided to ignore it for now. Nimphya guided me to my new room, right next to Lorian's. The room was as luxurious as the rest of the house, with a large bed, a carved wardrobe, and a window overlooking the garden.
"This will be your room, Keith," Nimphya said with a smile. "There's an en-suite bathroom where you can take a shower and change. I'll leave you alone to get settled."
"Thank you," I replied, trying not to let my unease show.
When Nimphya left, I closed the door behind me and let out a sigh of relief. The room was much more comfortable than anywhere I had been recently, but I couldn't get Lorian's expression out of my head. I decided to focus on the immediate task and headed to the bathroom.
