Glossary II - Glossary of the chapters 1 - 40

Glowed/shined (referring to a mark): Action of a mark when releasing power and being used.

Sixth sense: It is the ability that a person can develop (regardless of whether they are blind or not) to feel their surroundings, using their ability to detect power and their connection with the earth and air.

- This does not mean they can see without their eyes, they simply sense heartbeats, body heat, and very strong emotions. The more powerful these are, the easier they are to detect.

Spiritual sight: This is the ability to see without using the eyes, literally speaking. When your connection with the power of the earth god is so high, your feet become your second eyes, able to detect vibrations from kilometers away and, in the case of prodigies, to "predict" the movements of your enemies.

- It is an ability that must be practiced for years to be used, and not everyone can master it. The birthplace of spiritual sight is Brickelwhyte, where, due to the use of the power of the sun god, those who practice it often end up blind.

Lacronians: Denonym of the kingdom of Lacrontte.

Blindigos: Practitioners of blindigia. This is usually used by people (usually blind) who develop a high perception of power and manage to control that knowledge. Blindigia allows you to see around you using the power of the marks or spiritual power of your surroundings as a guide. Therefore, the more powerful what surrounds you is, the better you can see.

- Blindigia is a more powerful branch than the sixth sense but much less powerful than spiritual sight.

Four Realms: These are the division of the realms of the second of the three continents (Nuxvar). These are: Haashir Realm, as the largest realm (in size) of the second continent, although it is not the richest nor has the highest birth rate, as it is quite common for carriers of very powerful marks to traffic through it and favored by the goddess of leaves; Drakken Realm, as the realm with the highest number of magical beasts (its name comes from its national animal, the Drakken) and favored by the goddess of volcanoes; Thaara Realm, as the realm of warriors (they are tenacious by nature and their pastime is hunting, constantly at war with neighboring kingdoms) and favored by the goddess of rocks; and Calixo Realm, as the smallest and wealthiest realm on the continent, having the best army and being well-known for having elongated ears, and favored by the goddess of moon.

Tainted: This term is used to refer to a human who was corrupted by the power of his mark. There are several reasons for this to happen, but the two most common are: 1) It is too much power for that person and they do not know how to control it. 2) The mark is a cursed mark, so the curse manifests itself by driving the human to madness and then controlling him.

Clan: Powerful kingdoms are usually divided between clans (usually rich and powerful families) that dominate the entire territory. Clans can have techniques and methods and can be passive or aggressive.

Quick note: The clans are divided into several, the most important: Family and Imperial clan*.

Family clan: Made up of humans united by blood ties.

Imperial clan: These are generally the clans created by the kingdoms and are made up of their largest brand controllers.

Antumalen clan: Clan of the kingdom of Brickelwhyte. In past centuries it was well known throughout the continent for its power and strength, but as time passed, children with marks stopped being born. The scarcity led them to be what is considered a clan with aggressive methods, as they went to the point of mutilating themselves so that their goddess could give them a mark.

Matriarch/Patriarch: This is the name given to the head of the clan.

Human frogs (animal): Named for their ease of changing shapes and the ability to paralyze humans with their poison and then take their shape (hence their name). The common thing is that after having paralyzed as many prey as possible, they eat them. They hate heat, so they use a dense fog as their "domain area*" that creates a cold and humid environment perfect for them.

Quick note: They are very territorial and gluttonous beings (they don't like to share), so they live away from other human frogs and do not leave their territory unless it is crossing time.

Domain Area: (For you to understand better, domain area would be the equivalent of a "domain expansion" in the JJK anime.) The domain area is an enclosed space that a living being creates (as long as it has enough magical power) to trap its opponent. If A (owner of a domain area) catches B (opponent), B can leave the domain area. In fact, the area of mastery only serves to intensify the power levels of A's runes (and if he does not have runes, magical power) and creates the perfect environment so that he can better use the gift that has been given to him. given the god of his kingdom.

Quick note: People can also enter a domain area, but only if they are more powerful than the owner of the domain area.

Funbles: Type of carnivorous mushroom that has a mouth with multiple sharp teeth (it does not have eyes or ears, but it does have small, very sharp nostrils) with the ability to jump to catch its prey in the air. They can grow as they eat and their color varies depending on whether or not it is poisonous. They generally live in large open fields, but there is a slightly smaller species that lives in swamps and wooded areas.

Ogger: Large breed of quadruped (dog-like). Ogeers do not have races, but they do have different colors and shape patterns. If you're a charmer*, you can manipulate the ogger's egg in its first few weeks and change its coat pattern.

Quick note: Colors can range from basic to the most fantastic. If the enchanter has a very high level of magical power, he can even make his fur reflective or luminescent.

Charmer: Person with the ability to charm. This ability is not manifested by a mark, however there are more than one variety of marks that enhance the charms of the wearer.

- Those who awakened the mark of creation have more advantage than everyone else, since it is closely related to the creation and alteration of things.

Dissord: Poisonous lizard (not very big, but fast) and carnivorous that lives in caves, trenches (which they build themselves to make hunting easier) and similar places, humid and deep, where their unfortunate victims usually fall to eat them. They have the ability to become transparent to hide from their prey or potential predators.

Mouth-eater: Spectral being with humanoid form, elongated arms and grayish skin. He usually has a human face, but what identifies him from other humans (besides his skin or the length of his limbs) is that his heart does not beat (istrangely has humans organs). Its other organs do not function either, but even so, the mouth-eater ingests its victims (starting with the mouth) and then vomits them already chewed and unrecognizable.

Quicknote: Mouth-eaters are dumb, deaf and blind. They are guided by their sense of smell and can be scared away by strong odors. It has obvious weaknesses such as physical damage caused by hits, cuts and so on.

Magic Academy: It is the variant of a school in this world. It teaches the language of the kingdom, foreign languages from other kingdoms that are powers, geography and the biology of magic and magical beings.

- History is not taught because most kingdoms commit heinous acts for the "greater good", so it is very common for these secrets of the past to be passed down from family to family. Anyone caught talking about these stories could be sentenced to death.

Random monsters: This name is given to monsters that appear randomly in places with different climates or in different kingdoms without respecting any rule of logic. This is mostly because they are monsters that are attracted to large crowds, and by not making it easy for them to hunt somewhere, they move as far away as possible so that their chances of killing are maximized.

Quick note: Monsters have no relationship with each other beyond appearing in different places and spending their entire lives traveling. Monsters can range from terrestrial to flying and from giant creatures to smaller, even tiny ones.

Jerro: Living being created from piles of organic garbage that is not disposed of correctly. Jerros can breathe, eat, reproduce and make sounds, so anyone with a sixth sense could easily locate them like any other living being.

Rubberts: Currency used on the Nuxvar continent. It is the most devalued currency in the entire world.

The Shadow: This is what the blackness that covers the 86% of the island is called. There is an ancient belief that this attracts victims who walk near it at night, but there is no solid evidence of this.

Komodo lizards: A thick-skinned, grayish herbivorous lizard that lives in Corralis.

-They do not usually attack humans and are not poisonous.

Uvres eels: An aquatic animal that has six tiny legs that can go out onto land or walk on the bottom of the sea, although they don't usually do so. They are native to Lacrontte.

-They do not usually attack humans and are not poisonous.

Kiki's sandworms: Long, thin, pale pink worms that live hundreds of meters under the desert sand. They are native to Devereux, although they actually arrived on merchant ships from Thaara who sold them as exotic food.

-They do not usually attack humans and are not poisonous.

Cluster of marks: A set of marks (very or not very powerful) that when placed on top of each other or very close to each other, forming a pattern (it can be a plant or an animal) their power is enhanced. Sometimes this is so much that if the person carrying it does not learn to control it quickly, he or she dies.

- In some cases, if the mark does not appear until a certain age, it is a bad omen.

Cueronix: Is a very particular bird. Although it is a scavenger because it only eats dead things, if it wants to eat something that is not dead it kills it, waits several days for it to rot and then eats it.

- They are birds that can grow up to one metre in height (females) and one and a half metres (males). They hatch from eggs and always have the distinctive bright scarlet colour of their feathers, and a blue-black tail in males. Females have longer tails and are white in colour. They can simulate the human voice or the characteristic sound of their prey to attract them.

Acavedres: Large quadruped animals with long, thin legs, thin, elongated trunks and long, shiny fur. They can be white, brown or black. They are herbivores.
