"Your majesty. This human said your name."
I sighed into my hands from my seated position on the balcony.
It really was a stressful day.
I had seen the entire situation through Geneviéve's eyes, my body's traitorous impulsiveness to see Diego if only for a little bit having taken control of my mind.
And at first, I had thought it a truly marvelous decision.
He was as wonderful as I remembered. His beautiful hair, his broad shoulder and torso barely contained by that tight cotton shirt. His always beautiful green eyes. Though they were shrouded by dark circles, I still found them so mesmerizing.
And his rippling muscles…
I'd had to cough to stop myself from staring too hard.
And then I'd heard him say my name, both mine and Genny's eyes going wide from that. My chest ached when I had to witness him crumble there and then, thinking I had died under that useless Demon's hands.
How did he even know I was here?
