" Ah!" Amy shrieked as she leaped out of the bed, goosebumps crawled over her arms.
Fredrick's eyes sparkled, there was a secret gleam of pride that flashed in his eyes as her aura hit him.
" You two…. Get out!" Delilah commanded, her cold voice gave no room for negotiation.
Amy tried to hide her fear, she sniffed and smiled," You are awake."
Delilah's eyes narrowed, her expression grim, and her aura was as cold as an iceberg in the Antarctic," Were you expecting I died?"
Amy pursed her lips, a dangerous glow flashed across her eyes," Delilah, what are you talking about? How could I wish for my best friend's death--" She cried.
" I would choose death over being your friend again, Amy Bei" Delilah gave a cold snort as her gaze met Fredrick's.
Amy was stunned," Delilah…? You hurt my feelings, how could you say…"
" You have no feelings, Amy--" Delilah interrupted. " If you two won't mind, please leave, will you? My head hurts" she turned away from them.
Amy began to sob," What is wrong with you Delilah? I knew I'd acted terribly to you, I only ask to be your friend again…. Why are you being so grumpy?"
Silence…
Amy got infuriated," she pointed at Delilah's back," Fine! If that is what you want, I would leave you to it…. You are not the Delilah I knew, Anna is such a bad influence on you, that's why she has no friends. Do you really wish to end up as her one day, a friendless freak!?"
Delilah's voice rang out, "She is not a friendless freak; I, Delilah Chen, is Annabelle's friend. I wish to be friends with her over you, understood?"
With a soft voice, Fredrick tried to intervene, "Delilah, try to be considerate. This was really hard for Amy--"
" Both of you, out!" Delilah shouted.
Amy's face was as red as a pig's liver, "Don't come back begging, Delilah Chen" she said coldly and left the ward.
Fredrick followed her, he stopped by the door and looked at Delilah's back, there was a strange smile on his lips, he shut the door softly.
Delilah sighed as her memories of her and Amy filled her mind, a tear tickled from her eyes and she cleaned it. She soon fell asleep.
A hour later….
Delilah's eyes fluttered open, the harsh fluorescent lights of the infirmary stinging her vision. Her head throbbed, and a dull ache pulsed in her palms. She vaguely remembered collapsing in the hallway, the concerned face of Anna made her feel guilty.
"Delilah, you're awake!" Anna exclaimed, relief flooding her features as she rose from the other bed in the room, there were several books laid on it. "You gave me quite a scare."
Delilah winced, trying to recall what had happened. "What… what happened?" she croaked, her voice raspy.
