★ The next day ★
Delilah woke up with a throbbing headache, but it only lasted for a while.
When she was ready for school, she went to the dinning room.
"Morning grandma….", she bowed.
" Mm!" Old madam Chen grunted in response, she raised her gaze to the girl and stared at her for a moment.
"You woke up quite early today, and you look sad, what is wrong?" Old madam Chen spoke before she continued to eat, she didn't spare Delilah a glance. Her voice had a very little touch of softness.
A vein in Delilah's head popped. "Why won't I be sad? Who called my furry friend filthy and refused to have me bring him with me!?" Delilah only screamed at the Old madam inwardly.
She squeezed her lips into a 'smile', "Nothing grandma…", she said in a voice you can call 'sweet' and she sat at the dining table to eat.
After breakfast, Delilah left home for school. It would be nice if she could get a taxi to school, but no! She must be as independent as grandma wants her to be. I am the only beloved daughter of a wealthy CEO, darn it!
-_-_-_-
Delilah arrived at school looking as sheepishly and innocent as ever, but if one could take a close notice at her, they'll see her eyes blazing unquenchable fire.
After the morning assembly, class began.
The first subject they had was History, Delilah likes History class so she won't be having much problem this morning.
RING!
The bell rang and students rushed into the classroom, though she might not be sitting with Fredrick, she doesn't care anymore, life moves on.
She didn't leave his seat because of her grades but of shame. Besides, Amy also asked her not to sit with him again, or he'll hate her.
Surprisingly, Fredrick doesn't allow anyone to sit with him. He said it was a form of distraction if someone sits with him.
The History teacher, Mr. Du Gang walked into the class with his huge double lens glasses, his nickname; Mr. frog. He looks like a man in his early sixties, his class is no doubt boring, but the topics are what caught Delilah's interest.
"Morning class…", Mr. Du Gang greeted as he stood behind the podium.
