Bell jolted after hearing what Centshuu just said. A reaction which made him smirk.
"Now that she knows about that little surprise, we can let the lady of the place handle the rest. Just like we agreed on" Centshuu said as he bowed his head to Bell in a dramatic manner.
Bell rolled her eyes at him then she looked at Vox and the hand that was suspiciously inserted in his pocket.
She said "Knife?"
Vox looked at her, saw the focus she was giving his hand, and he groaned.
/"I don't know if that bastard is making stuff up or he's just that observant, which though I hate to admit it, he is, but to show my appreciation for the good customer you've been over the years, I'll give you the chance to comport yourself and carefully think about what your next course of action is going to be"\ Bell advised.
After Bell made her appearance, the attention of everyone in the Velvet Serpent had been on her, and now that she was standing in front of Vox and addressing him, the attention had also transferred to him.
Vox scanned across the room, saw all the watchful eyes on him, and got angered by it. Like that wasn't enough, hearing his friends groaning in pain on the floor and seeing Avery and everyone else on Centshuu's side standing tall and proud made him even more mad.
However, the effect of all the eyes on him was still more powerful than how he felt. As a result, he let go of whatever he wanted to pull out and took his hand out of his pocket.
/"I don't know what that bastard made you believe but there's nothing to worry about,"\ Vox said, showing that his hand was empty
Bell, who had been nervous about what he would end up doing, let out a silent sigh, relieved after seeing Vox bring out nothing from his pocket and cross his arms instead.
/"Thank you. I guess that bastard is just a liar after all"\ she said.
/"Whatever"\ Vox smacked his tongue and took his attention to his four defeated friends.
Now that that had been dealt with, Bell looked at everyone by the bar then she focused her attention on Kenser, the girl who more or less ran that section of the Velvet Serpent, and as such should know everything that had happened.
"Come here!" Bell instructed and immediately Kenser rushed to her side.
She looked at Makieth and said: /"You came to my room to get me so you too come here"\
Makieth rushed to her side.
/"Alright, I want both of you to tell me exactly what happened while I was gone. What led up to this mess taking place and I assume I don't have to tell you not to leave out any detail as everything is important"\ Bell instructed.
/"Of course Madam Bell"\ Kenser said went ahead to shed light on what had happened. Meanwhile, Ripply translated what she said for Centshuu.
After hearing the whole narration, Centshuu looked at Avery, placed his hand on his shoulder, and with a proud smirk said, "Nice job"
Surprised by Centshuu's response, Avery looked at him with widened eyes.
"You're not angry that I did what I did?"
Centshuu tilted his head and furrowed his eyebrows.
"Why would I be angry? From what I just heard, you protected a defenseless girl from a brute who was lacking proper home training. You also stood up to defend your friend's honor after she was disrespected by whatever one of those guys said to her. If anything, I'm proud of how much integrity you've shown. You could have ignored what was happening and looked out for yourself but you stepped in and did the right thing and now I feel like a douchebag for doubting you back at the eclipsing forest."
"But I went against the no violence rule and that might get all of us kicked out," Avery said, sounding ashamed.
In response, Centshuu smirked, dropped his hand from the young man's shoulder, and then looked at Bell.
"Don't worry about that. I've already handled everything that could have risen from that…hopefully" Centshuu said and Avery furrowed his eyebrows.
"You have?" Avery asked.
"Yeah. All you need to know is that we got into this mess because of you but we also got out of it because of you, so cheer up" Centshuu said and Avery grimaced.
"Because of me? But what did I do?"
"Not what you did per se but what you will do," Centshuu said and saw that Avery was still confused.
"Don't worry about it. Just relax and I'll tell you all you need to know later. For now, let's just listen to what's happening over there" Centshuu said and Avery nodded then focused on what Bell was saying to Vox.
Just then, Centshuu whispered to Mosey, Kove, and Shieve "You guys too, I have something I want to say to all three of you when this is all over. It's important"
Mosey, Kove, and Shieve who were all standing by Centshuu's left looked at each other for a few seconds then they looked at Centshuu.
"Okay, Cent. If you say so" Mosey spoke for all three of them.
"Thanks" Centshuu replied, smiled then focused on Bell.
Just then, Mosey who still focused on Centshuu grimaced and thought 'It's strange for him to thank us over just agreeing to give him an audience like that. I wonder what it is he wants to talk to us about. What is so important that he's acting so strange?'
