Chapter 19 - A Dream Meeting with a Goddess

In front of him stood a figure resembling a goddess, gazing at him with amusement. "What...?" The only thing Alex could manage to mutter from his mouth.

A goddess-like figure sat cross-legged, as if on a non-existent floating chair in outer space. Long, flowing silvery-white hair cascaded behind her, extending past her own height. Her fair white skin was draped in a form-fitting Greek toga, accentuating her well-endowed figure. She was indeed quite beautiful, surpassing even Anna herself. What truly marked her as goddess-like were the extra eye positioned vertically on her forehead and the presence of four arms, with one set pushing against her ample assets. If her beauty didn't mesmerize him, her alluring and seductive figure certainly did.

"Why, thank you for your kind and charming description, Mr. Producer~," she commented almost immediately after Alex had described her physical appearance in his head.

"Wait, you can read my mind?!" Alex blurted out, flustered that she had just read his thoughts about her charming appearance.

"Of course, silly. It's a simple trick that every god can do," she replied, mischievously smiling at Alex's embarrassment.

"Okay... So... What can I help you with, miss... 'Goddess'?" Alex asked the 'Goddess', recalling that in many 'Isekai' novels, one typically meets a god-like entity before being transported to another world. However, he was already in another world, so what did she want with him?

The 'Goddess' giggled. She then gracefully rose from her non-existent floating chair and began to walk as if there were floors beneath her feet. Approaching Alex, she suddenly used one of her free extra hands to gently cup his chin, drawing her face closer to his. She seemed to be observing him closely, much to Alex's dismay over the goddess's proximity.

After what felt like an eternity to Alex, she released his chin and smiled as if she had found what she was looking for. "Good... it seems it is there," she murmured to herself.

"Huh...? What do you mean by that? Is there something inside of me...?!" Alex inquired anxiously, hoping for an answer.

"There is... but it's not yet time for you to know. For now... just enjoy being an Idol Producer for those cute demon gals, okay?" The 'Goddess' replied with a mischievous smile. She turned and walked back, then returned to her non-existent floating chair. "That is all from me for now. Farewell~~~." With a wave of her hand, Alex's floating body slowly drifted away from the 'Goddess'.

"Hold on! What's going on here?! Who are you anyway?!" Alex shouted at the 'Goddess', whose figure became smaller and smaller as he moved further away. The 'Goddess' only smiled. That was the last thing he saw before his body was pulled away as if by gravity. He began to hear a voice ringing inside his head...

"-ir Alex? Sir Alex! Sir Alex!!!" Shouted a familiar feminine voice.

Alex opened his eyes and immediately jolted up his body.

"Ah! Sir Alex?! You startled me..." the familiar feminine voice once again was heard to Alex's ears. Looking around, he found Mira, the mage cat beastkin, and also Maid Noir, the bird(?) beastkin, standing a few paces away, most likely out of courtesy. Alex could only stare at them for a moment, his breathing heavy and his body covered in a cold sweat.

"Sir Alex...? What's wrong?" Mira asked, her voice laced with concern. Alex slowly calmed his breathing and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. He clutched his head, trying to make sense of what he had just seen in his dream.

'What was that all about...?' He thought to himself. Glancing at Mira, he noticed her startled expression. He could probably tell her about his dream, but revealing that he had just encountered a goddess entity in outer space seemed far-fetched. He would need to carefully construct his explanation to make it believable. So, for now... "Nothing... Mira, what brings you to my room anyway?" Alex deflected her question with one of his own.

"Sir Alex, our Demon Queen Anna has requested your presence in the throne room!" Mira exclaimed.

"Queen Anna...?" He asked dumbfoundedly.

"Yes!"

"What for...?"

"For your award ceremony, dummy! You helped thwart the heroes' invasion, and Demon Queen Anna wishes to acknowledge your efforts with a ceremony and a FEAST to celebrate our victory!" Mira emphasized the word 'feast' with particular enthusiasm.

"Okay... right now?"

"Yes!" Without further ado, Mira grabbed Alex's hand and pulled him out of bed.

"Whoa, hold on, Mira!" Alex protested, but his words fell on deaf ears. As Mira dragged him out of the resting chamber, he noticed Maid Noir standing by with his black formal suit jacket in hand. In a blur of motion as they passed by her, she deftly slipped the jacket onto him. She then bowed to the already departing Alex and Mira.

"Hey, Mira! Calm down, will you?!" Alex urged Mira to stop dragging him.

"No can do, Sir Alex! The award ceremony is about to begin, and you're the main star of the event!" She reasoned.

"Okay, okay...!" Alex could only give in to her forceful dragging. However, he soon noticed through the castle corridor windows that the sky had turned slightly orange, indicating that it was already evening. "How long did I sleep...?" He pondered to himself, but Mira heard his question.

"You've been asleep for almost the entire day, Sir Alex. You're quite the sleepyhead too, because I had to wake you up by shouting in your face up close," Mira recounted her earlier attempts to rouse him. "Noir also tried to wake you up before me, you know? But you didn't wake up from her first." She added the last part, causing him to feel a little guilty towards Noir. He might have to apologize to her later.

Soon enough, Alex and Mira finally reached the familiar large double doors of the Demon Queen's throne room. Mira was the one who burst through the double doors, just as she had last time. "Everyone! I have brought Sir Alex!" Mira exclaimed excitedly to the demons inside the throne room.
