The sound of birds chirping filled the air. An early bird was on its way to catch worms, soaring through the sky. It gradually slowed its flight and perched itself near a window of a bedroom chamber in a large castle. Inside, a man was sleeping soundly on his spacious canopy bed. Although the morning sun's rays were already shining on his face, they weren't enough to rouse him. Instead, he used his blanket to shield his eyes from the glaring light.
Well... if the soothing melody of the early birds' chirping and the gentle, warm morning light couldn't wake him, something else would have to do the job. That something arrived in the form of a horse-sized wyvern soaring through the sky with its master / trainer, a lizard beastkin lady, mounted on it.
"Kahaha! Come on, my babies! We're going for ten laps this morning!" the lizard lady exclaimed excitedly while riding her wyvern mount. Behind her, a flock of wyverns followed, roaring in response to her command. Their roars echoed throughout the large castle.
"Hey, Alex! Wake up, sleepyhead!" the lizard lady shouted excitingly as she passed through the sleeping man's chamber with her flock of wyverns. Her voice finally stirred him awake.
"Huh what?!? " The man now known as Alex mumbled, his body jolted awake by the roar of the wyverns and the lizard lady's call to his name. He was still groggy as he surveyed his surroundings. He realized he was in a medieval-like bedroom chamber inside the castle, with stone walls, wooden furniture, a canopy bed, and many more alike. The morning light streaming in through the chamber's large single window indicated that it was already morning. Roar of the wyverns can still be heard from outside.
Alex then pinched his cheek and felt the sensation of pain. "I'm not dreaming..." he said to himself, trying to confirm the reality of what he was experiencing. He did a final check by attempting to access his Item Box skill, which worked as he rummaged through some sort of mini portal to his inventory and pulled out his Status Card. The card, oddly resembling a business card, displayed his name and job:
Alex Lee
Idol Producer
He then began to recall in his head all the events that had transpired since he left his office after work. 'Browsing through the Idol Forum, accidentally crossing a green light while doing so, getting summoned into another world, discovering that the summoners were demons instead of humans, realizing you got some weird ass Job instead of the traditional Hero Job, being asked to help conquer the world by the demons, flying into battle on a wyvern mount, jumping into and interrupting the fight between the Hero and the Demon Queen, summoning an Idol Stage, and... witnessing the Demon Queen herself singing on the stage...' Alex remembered vividly to the last memory. Seeing the Demon Queen singing beautifully on the Idol Stage while he cheered her on was a memory he would cherish forever.
Now convinced that he was indeed not dreaming and had been summoned into another world to assist the Demon Queen in conquering it with his 'Idol Producer' Job, Alex prepared himself mentally. He took a deep breath and exhaled. "Alright... let's get to work!" he exclaimed energetically. Attempting to rise from the canopy bed, he felt something oddly soft, squishy, yet firm in both of his hands. Upon investigation, he discovered that the blanket he had been sleeping under concealed a few unusual shapes. Without much thought, he pulled back the blanket, revealing two beautiful ladies sleeping blissfully underneath.
On his right was a petite woman with ethereally beautiful, pale white skin, almost as white as porcelain. Her long white hair cascaded down her back lazily, and striking red horns protruded from amidst her beautiful locks. She slept with a serene and calm expression, as if lost in peaceful dreams.
To his left lay another beautiful woman with soft, fair white skin and neck-length blonde hair framing her sleeping face. She appeared more ordinary compared to the petite lady, but her striking features included cute, twitching cat ears and a cat tail that lazily moved during her sleep. Her face was serene and blissful, adorned with an almost Cheshire-like smile that hinted at pleasant dreams.
Both women continued to sleep soundly even after Alex uncovered them.
Alex's expression turned blank as he stared at the two sleeping beauties. His mind groggily processed the realization that there were women sleeping in his bed. He pinched his cheek extra hard just to confirm, leaving a mark. He was definitely not dreaming, and there were indeed two women sleeping in his bed. Initially, he laughed, unsure that any women would actually sleep with him, but now...
"WHAT THE HECK?!?" he yelled in surprise as he backed away a bit from the two sleeping beauties. He never imagined that he would ever sleep with a woman because of his (Idol) Otaku hobby, let alone two women at the same time, which is why his mind went into a panic. But he soon realized that these ladies were still fully clothed, sleeping clothes to be exact, and he was still wearing his office worker white shirt and black pants. His mind began to calm down, knowing that he and these two ladies hadn't done anything that he thought they had, although not calming quickly enough, as the sleeping clothes they wore were pretty... interesting. The petite lady was wearing a black nightgown that was draped over her petite body, while the cat lady was wearing a loose white tank top shirt with short shorts.
His yell, fortunately or unfortunately, woke the two ladies from their beauty sleep.
"*yawn* What's with all the noise...? Sir Alex, did someone just yell?" the cat lady, who had woken up, asked Alex groggily while rubbing her face... in a cat-like manner. She then began to stretch on the bed... also in a cat-like manner.
The petite lady, on the other hand, yawned as well but covered her mouth politely. She rubbed her eyes slightly as she slowly took in her surroundings. She had a blank expression as she saw that she was in an unfamiliar room. She noticed Mira first, stretching in a cat-like manner, and then... she saw Alex, who wore an awkward smile.
"Y-yo, Queen Anna? Did you sleep well?" Alex asked Anna in an awkward but friendly manner. He mentioned 'sleep,' which made her realize that she was on his bed wearing her nightgown. Her mind was still groggily processing all of this information. But then... her face turned deep red with embarrassment.
"Kyaaaah!" Anna squealed in panic. She quickly tried to hide her body from being seen by Alex's eyes.
"Whoah, whoah, whoah! Calm down, Queen Anna!" Alex tried to soothe the panicking Anna. She was still in a panic from being seen in her nightgown. Meanwhile, Mira continued her cat-like stretches, ignoring the squealing Demon Queen and the panicking Idol Producer who was trying to calm her down.
Alex was also panicking from seeing the Demon Queen's distressed state. He quickly racked his brain and then came up with a solution. He approached the panicking Anna and grasped both of her shoulders with his hands, which startled Anna out of her panic.
"Anna-chan! Listen up! We didn't do anything weird or the like! We were just sleeping! Look, both of us were fully clothed!" Alex sternly told Anna about their situation, which managed to slightly calm her down so that she could see the situation they were in. She was in her nightgown, and Alex was still in his previous world's clothes. The three of them, including Mira, had just been asleep, and nothing that Anna thought they were doing had happened (just like Alex had also thought they were doing as well). She finally calmed down but was still covering her body. Alex noticed this and immediately got off his bed to the study chair, which happened to have his suit jacket hung on it. He retrieved his suit jacket and immediately handed it to Anna.
"Here. Cover yourself with this," he said to Anna while handing her his suit jacket. Anna was a bit taken aback by his offering but slowly accepted his jacket and covered herself with it. While she was not panicking like before, she was still blushing from not just being seen in her nightclothes but also having slept on a man's bed—Alex's bed especially. She was also secretly feeling the warm sensation of his jacket that happened to have his smell, which was oddly calming her... Not that she would ever tell the owner of the jacket personally.
Both of them fell into an awkward silence as they tried to think of what to say to each other. Meanwhile, Mira had finished her cat-like stretches.
"Good morning, Your Majesty~. Good morning, Sir Alex~," Mira casually greeted them both. She either didn't realize that she was sleeping on a man's bed or did not think the idea was that weird. From her perspective though, she didn't mind that she was sleeping on Alex's bed specifically.
Alex then began by clearing his throat. "Uhm! Um... Both of you... What happened here...? What happened last night...? And why were you both sleeping on my bed...?" Alex asked both Anna and Mira for clarification.
The two of them began to try to remember what had happened the previous night that had brought them both to Alex's bedroom chamber. Through mere coincidence, both of them came to a realization and exclaimed at the same time.
"It was because of the feast!"
"The feast???"
