Why am I so hot? What is this feeling? Why do I feel like I'm burning?
I knew somehow that I was still asleep and that I was with Eren. I could sense his presence and feel the tiny little shockwaves that his skin left on my own, but a part of me knew that I wasn't fully awake, but I was conscious of something going on inside of me.
Trying to force myself to think around the growing pressure in my body, I tried to recall all of the most recent events and figure out if something could have happened to cause this.
Maybe it was an external presence that was affecting me. No. That couldn't be it. If it was something like that, then Eren would have been experiencing it as well. So, if it wasn't something external, then it had to be something going on with just me.
