Dane was running at full speed, and I was not complaining. His thoughts were so loud, and I felt like he was shouting and screaming so much, but his words didn't make any sense.
That arrogant a**hole. I should have known that he was here for Dylan, but there was just something about him. I couldn't stop the words from coming out of my mouth when I had spoken to him earlier.
But I guess I'm thankful that I didn't because I was right. Something about him had instantly made me think of Marq and that was weird because I never thought of that coward unless I had to.
His words were still running through my head, "What do you know of Marq, and answer quickly, I have little time left pup!"
That reaction had caused me to pause, and to smile because I had that easily found his weakness. Even though he tried to keep his reaction controlled I caught it in his words and actions.
