Vance:Well let's not waste any more time thank you for bringing him here my dear granddaughter and for what I promised we will talk more about that later I'm sure you're already running late to your class.
Olivia said her goodbye to Vance and gave Max one last look you couldn't really see what was going through her head
Max:What you wanna say goodbye to me too??
Olivia:Like I would ever do that aughhh
She said that and left.
Max:I really wanted her to say goodbye to me as well.*sad face*
Vance:Heh stop joking around and let's go.
Max:I wasn't joking didn't you see how we were getting along so well?
Vance:In your dreams kid,so moving on to serious things,how is your magic core development going?
Max:Uhhh w-well you see it isn't going.
Vance:Well that's to be expected you only started yesterday.
Max:Well I haven't started yet but i learned a little bit more about that spirit that sealed his?my?our power,that's right he sealed our power.
Vance:How did you manage to learn all that?
Max:Well he told me when I was in his pseudo-world kinda,he's a pretty annoying guy.
Vance just left Max talking but in his mind he was pretty worried about what he had just heard.
'How is this possible?to a spirit to possess a inner world must mean he is a great spirit but how did it came in contact with him?nevertheless the most impressive thing here is this kid how was he able to get into the inner world of someone without a magic core and come out unscathed,hehe I wonder just how much you will keep surprising me kid'
They were walking and Max was looking around everywhere and he didn't see a lot of people and it was eerily quiet.
Max:Ummm why is it so quiet here?
Vance:Like I said this is a school but there aren't a lot of students since this is a school meant for the gifted children from our city.
Max:And you are putting me in here?Don't get me wrong I'm thankful but I still haven't even formed my core I'll be absolutely bullied not to mention they don't exactly see me in a good light.
Vance:I know that a lot of looks you're getting aren't great but you will know that it's just the minority you've never went out of their home they just listen to the stories that they have been fed a lot of the elves here and on the other parts of the world don't just judge you like that,and this is better than send you to the public school because there you would have suffered even more.
Max:But still they won't be friendly I assume?
Vance:Maybe you'll find a friend you never know the only thing you'll have to worry about it's that they will look at you as someone inferior to them since you don't possess a magic core and they have already developed when they were in their 10s or so and you are fourteen right now yes?
Max:That's right so I'm four years behind them?
Vance:Exactly.
Max:Well that just means I'll have to work even harder then.
Vance couldn't help but feel a little bit proud looking at his disciple.
Max:So where are we going?to my classroom?
Vance:First you have to meet the director of this school.
Max:Should I be worried?
Vance:Nah she's a good person,we've talked a few times but it's just when she goes to talk to my son and I'm there so we exchange greetings and stuff and I heard she is very proficient in plant magic.
Max:Sounds like a interesting person.

Vance was now talking to the secretary of the director and she said that we would have to wait a little bit so now here we are sitting,waiting for this person to meet with us.
Max:Can I ask you something?
Vance:Sure
Max:Will I actually study today?I mean I have no notebook no inking pen basically no materials.
Vance:I didn't call you here hoping you would immediately go into study mode at least for today you're just observing nothing more,just getting to know your friends or opponent.
Max:What do you mean?
Vance:In two months the person you're going to fight will be someone from this school.
Max:I guess I should have expected that.
In the secretary's desk there was a pot with beautiful plants,nothing out of the ordinary right?Well the plant started glowing and vibrating and the secretary leaned in like the plant was saying something.
Secretary:Excuse me she is ready for you.
Vance:Thank you very much.
Max:'I guess she used her magic to use that plant to communicate with her but how did she do it?'
He was really curious about it that he was staring intensely at the plants.
Vance:Hey don't space out kid.
Max looked at the secretary and apologised but the secretary didn't seem to mind and actually smiled at him.
'W-what is this?she didn't look at me funny or anything ahh I feel like I'm gonna cry such a great person she is'
Max also smiled at her and his mood had improved thanks to that.
The door that led to the director office opened and a boy was coming out of it,Max looked at him and it seemed like he had noticed him as well,looking at the guy he had red hair with Amber eyes and was wearing an uniform it was white with some gold.
???:Heh so you're finally here you trash.
He got close to Max and was really up in his face.
Max:Trash?are you talking to me?
???:What other trash do you see in here?
Max:Listen dude I don't even know you and I don't know what your problem with me is but I suggest you back off.
???:Well would you look at that you think you can talk to me like that?we aren't even on the same level,just one look at you and I can see that you don't even have a mana core.
Max suddenly felt a huge pressure on his shoulders and it was hard to stay up on his feet.
???:Trying to act tough are you?let's see how you handle this Ahhh
The pressure got even stronger and Max dropped to his knees and it got harder to breathe.
???:Look at you so powerless,so weak
Step by step he got closer to him and with each step the pressure got stronger and stronger,he was now looking down at him with emotionless eyes.
???:Someone like you isn't needed here,I should just beat you up right now what's the point of waiting two months when I can do it right now?

Vance:I think you already had your fun don't you think young man
???:Huh?
Vance was looking at the scene unfold he wanted to see how Max would react since they would have to interact and at that moment some part of him regretted the decision of enrolling him.
'Maybe it would have been better to just give him private lessons'
