Chereads / My Hero in a Dungeon? / Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

School has been terrible for the young Bakugo. He had gotten third place during the quirk apprehension test. He nearly beat the crap out of the two above him to show that he was the best, not those two.

Then during a combat test he had been immobilized almost immediately and when he got out and blasted the one who dared to immobilize him he was in trouble with the school. He got detention and afternoon school. Then when he was eating lunch a bunch of extras came up to him and tried to force him to open up, only for the reporters to break into the school, and people to run around like chickens with their heads cut off.

When they had to choose a class president. He no one had voted for him. This infuriated him as much as can be. And now he had to deal with the extras talking and clattering around him. It was annoying. Once they were at the testing site the teachers were giving a speech and then villains came from a portal in the middle of the plaza. Then their teacher had jumped down and started to beat the hell out of the villains. But one of them made it up the stairs.

"My name is Kurogiri, and we are the League of Villains. Forgive our rudeness, but we are here in this bastion of heroism to kill All Might." Kurogiri stated to the students. Many of them flinched back in shock.

"We were under the impression that he would be here today, but it seems that his schedule was changed, but that doesn't matter, my role is unchanged." He said, he then started to spread his black mist like body. It was starting to surround the students when two students interrupted him. Bakugo threw an explosion that was well over a pound of dynamite, and the other student was Kirishima. He threw a punch that would have knocked a normal person out.

"Not if we end you first."

"Bet ya didn't think of that."

At this Kurogiri seemed to have dissipated into the air, but he reassembled and formed right in front of them.

"Yes, even if you are students, you fellows are the cream of the crop, I should take this seriously." Kurogiri said as his mist started to surround them once again. But this time it was not a student who interrupted him, but an earthquake. All eyes turned towards the central plaza.

There was a huge hole, one well over fifty meters wide. And the land itself seemed to liquify and was starting to sink into the hole. Some of the villains started to fall into the hole. Then from the hole came a tower. It pierced the roof of the USJ and reached for the clouds but had soon stopped a few kilometers before touching one.

It was something that was well known. Something that everyone had seen at least once, either in person or through the internet. It was the entrance to a dungeon.

A new dungeon had formed in this smal building, in the USJ. Tower had carvings all over it, it told of a story yet known to the world. It had an ancient air to it as the people looked at it. Suddenly the gates to the dungeon opened.

Everyone got into a battle ready stance, people on both sides seemingly entered an alliance as a blue portal appeared from the gates. It was so silent that people could even hear a pin drop. Then something took a step out. It looked like a normal person's leg. Some of the people seemed relieved at this realization before it was crushed under the pressure that the being exuded. They looked at the person who left the portal and they saw a person seemingly in a samurai costume. It had his hair tied into a ponytail. He wore traditional samurai armor, with the light platings covering his body while being flexible for his movements. He had an oni mask that covered his lower face, but revealed his upper face to the world. It was a pale face and blue like veins all over the face. The eyes were grey and dull, devoid of life. It wore sandals and socks as well. On its waist was a cloth that held its sword on the side.

"A monster." Someone muttered.

"What monster is it, I don't remember seeing one like that."

"Maybe a new one, all dungeons seem to reveal new monsters."

"Quiet, it might hear you."

The monster drew the sword and the next moment he was right in front of a villain with his katana right next to their neck. The katana effortlessly sliced through their neck and their head flew off. The blood spew all around the area as the body fell to the ground with a thud.

"Attack!"

"Kill him!"

"Get the cheater!"

All the villains tried to attack all at once, but the samurai quickly dodged a wave of flames, slashes of energy, and water beams. More attacks quickly followed them, but the samurai easily moved out of the way of the attacks.

Soon everyone heard a scream. They looked in the direction and saw that the samurai was not alone, more monsters came from the portal. Hundreds it would seem. They were all undead. From rotting zombies with their intestines hanging out of their stomachs, or skeletons without any flesh, to ghouls that had red flesh and skinny bodies with their yellow nails that dripped with a purple liquid.

They all attacked the villains they were closest too.

"Zombies!"

"Undead!"

"Monsters!"

"All correct but focus on fighting!"

The villains all attacked back at the undead. Turns out, when you are dead you aren't exactly smart, but you don't exactly tire or the like either. So you win some you lose some.

The attack of quirks managed to deal decent damage to the undead they landed on, but it was painfully obvious it wasn't really working out. A large rock that could knock a man out would only cause a zombie to stumble. A slash that could cut limbs would only do scratches. And bullets that pierce human bodies barely pierce the skin.

"The undead are weak to fire!" Someone shouted, and as proof of the claim the zombies that were on fire seemed to suffer the most compared to the others.

"Fire, attack with fire!" Someone else shouted.

But the nightmare had only begun. As they were busy dealing with the small fries the Samurai zombie was attacking the villains, cutting them down in a single strike. And with it a head would fall to the ground as blood spurted from a body that would soon fall to the ground.

"Nomu, deal with the samurai." Shigaraki said, and as he did, the large Nomu started to move. The Nomu had pitch black skin that was covering a thick layer of muscles. The skin was covered in red scar like tissue. It had the face of a human merged with a bird. It had its brain exposed and out in the air.

It had its fist reeled back and ready to strike. It then punched the samurai zombie. Dust seemed to start to fly all around the plaza. Once it settled it was found that the Nomu had missed and the samurai was still out attacking the others. In an instant the Nomu was right next to it once again.

It tried to punch the monster once again. And dust covered everything and when it settled it only showed another miss.

At this the Nomu started to attack relentlessly at the samurai zombie. Who would just in turn dodge any attacks with ease. It weaved around each attack like a master who had seen thousands of battle.

It returned the favor and when the Nomu sent a particularly powerful strike, and had in turn over extended, the monster made use of this. It sent out a slash that went after the wrists. A ring then appeared around the wrist and the ring shrunk until it dug into the flesh of the Nomu. Blood then started to pour from the wound but it was quickly closed up. The Nomu just looked at the samurai like one would when they saw a kid misbehaving.

It then sent a punch out, it slammed into the body of the samurai and it was thrown far into one of the sections of the USJ. At this sight the other villains started to cheer. For it seemed to boss had been dealt with. But that was not the end, but merely the beginning.

From the portal came out thirty more undead. They all ranged from race to race, but what was common about them was what they wore and what they had in their hands. They all had armor, not some leather paddings, but real armor, metal plates covered their bodies. It was light and flexible while also being strong and durable. But they also had weapons, from swords to spears, to hammers and axes, they had all types of weapons in their hands.

They exuded and air of threat and danger, but on the bright side, the portal had shattered and the gates had closed.

But that doesn't stop the threat of the undead warriors. The villains tried to stop them like they would with any other undead but he would find out the hard way that it doesn't work like that.

He used his quirk and created chains that held them down. For a normal undead it would have worked. But these could be considered enchanted species or advanced versions. The undead broke out of the chains and charged forward.

"Help!" He shouted, but before the other villains could help, the zombie had raised its sword and slashed right down. It slashed into the shoulder, then the lungs before cutting the heart. Blood spewed into the surrounding area.

"Run to safety!" Someone shouted. At this the villains and Aizawa made a circle and with brute force they carved a path to the entrance with the students. No one really blamed them, it was the best position to defend at the moment. The stairs up to the entrance was somewhat narrow and would lower the amount of undead they needed to worry about.

The students although reluctant to help the villains decided to help them. After all, the undead were in large groups. In fact, the only reason the villains at the plaza were alive was because most of the undead had gone to the other areas, where more villains were hiding, presumably there to ambush the students when Kurogiri had warped them away. Speaking of Kurogiri, he had teleported away with the man child Shigaraki long ago.

We need to build a barrier around the stairs to keep the undead away!" One of the villains shouted. They had made it to the top and immediately the two villains that could make some sort of barrier and done their best to create a shabby wall that might barely hold them back.

At this the students had started to help. Momo had created metal plates to help cover the weaker spots and hopefully reinforce the area. Sero had taped the walls together, keeping them stable and more durable. Mineta had thrown his sticky balls that helped reinforce other areas of the wall that might need help. Todoroki was the last one and had made a ice covering over the walls and helped keep everything together while creating a shell around it.

But soon the walls seemed to start breaking, the ice could be heard shattering as they were torn from the walls and fell to the ground. Then a boom happened.
