Chapter 27 - 26. Look For The Seer (Part 2)

Continued...

"Young lady, if you can't speak than leave. I may be aware of many things, sign language is not among them, unfortunately." with that she went back to simply sipping her hot cup of chamomile she always found particularly calming, especially after events like premonitions.

And after what she went thru last night, she needed to rest desperately.

Teresa coming back to most of her sense, slightly shaking her head cleared her throat so the lumps forming would not crack her voice as she spoke. She needed to come off as firm she wanted to get answers she was looking for.

"I am here about yesterday." Croaking Teresa stayed in her place, close to the exit.

Still not looking to explain any further, Isadora sighed. "What did I do to you, yesterday? I don't seem to recall meeting you, girl. Did my apprentice promise you a fortune-telling session that we canceled? If you're here for refunds, catch Silas, he manages the accounts." she shooed by flipping her hand.

Teresa looked incredulously at the gypsy and then around. Is she serious? After telling her she was soon going to die, and die by suffering no less; the woman looks like she couldn't careless. She doesn't even look like she recognizes her.

Does she give death premonitions to so many she couldn't even remember her face?

"Excuse me? I-" A surge of anger ran thru Teresa that led her into action as she took steps froward and came to stand closer to the lady in hopes to intimidate her her.

"I am not here for any refund! I am her so you can explain to me what is that you told me yesterday. Why did you say that I was going to die. That death is waiting for me and soon will come to make me suffer!?"

Teresa's rant of questions came to a halt with her breathing hard, a result of mix of anger and talking faster and louder than usual.

Well, it was not for no reason. Her words finally settled on the gypsy's ears as she looked up with a look of what could be called as recalling and recognition but at the same time not.

She still looked skeptical but none the less stood up from her seat, finally.

"So it is you? You are that girl? My apprentice told me about you." Isadora again looked her up and down but this time slower and with meaning as if she was trying to make sense of something.

"Yes, it is me. I am the one you scared the hell out of last night. Why did you say that? What does it mean?" Firing questions of similar nature was all she could do right now.

"But most importantly, please tell me the truth, were you lying about it all?"

Isadora saw deep into Teresa eyes as she gauged out the evident plea for help, for guidance pooling in and mixing with her blue orbs. The poor girl was really scared out of her mind, seeking to be free of the burden of awareness.

Unfortunately, Isadora was not going to be much of a help to her.

"I don't know." quietly Isadora spoke looking back to her table, lost in her own thought as she seemed to be confused about something.

"What do you mean you don't know." Agitation lining the undertone of her voice.

"I am sorry. But I don't know much of what you talk of." Isadora sighed before diving into explanation. "I don't remember what I told you, dear child. I was no more but a channel, for forces I have never before dealt with." She took back her seat and directed Teresa to do the same with her hand but Teresa remained standing in her place ahead of Isadora.

"Oh great! So you Were lying, weren't you? Now that I am here again so unexpectantly, you don't have another Fake explanation for me so you're taking the easy route of pretending to be oblivious of it all."

"Sia was right, I shouldn't have let it get to me so much."

Teresa scoffed shaking her head. Not believing she fell for it. Normally she was less emotional and a more rational type, how could she have believed a gypsy of all people so readily?

It was as if she wanted to believe her because the signs were clear that it was a lie, the biggest being there are no such things as magic and future telling.

This time anger flared in Isadora's eyes as she got up to her feet so suddenly it caused Teresa to take a step back.

"Don't you dare question me." Isadora glared at her. "I have no answers for you because I can not recognize you and by that I mean your essence does not speak to me like it did before. I was a channel, my words weren't my own."

Teresa shrunk back a little bit at the force of her fierce glare. She seemed really upset about being questioned and straight up branded a fake.

"I don't know what the other side told you because I was simply not present at that time. But when I was, even for a fraction of time, I felt the essence. That is how I called you inside. It is simply not there anymore."

"It is you're choice to believe it or don't. In either case, what was told to you was only for your ears to hear and no one else's. And believe me, humans may lie and cheat but spirits never does."
