Chapter 129 - Act III Chapter XVIII

Sylanwood, South Tarrabria: The Shoreline, Time: 4:00 AM

**************************************

On the shoreline of Tarrabria, it was calming considering the time of the place that it was in. An insane person would wake up and train people at a time like this.

Fortunately, the insane person is close to us with him standing outside with a stopwatch in his hand. It was Sugar, our insane person.

He was waiting, sitting on a rock while swaying his legs. He could hear the alarm ringing inside the rented beach house.

The beach house finally lit up with Sugar's face lit up in excitement. He perfectly stood up straight from the rock, leaving the poor thing to shatter into dust.

Chris was the first one to walk out, "Alright, who set up that stupid ass alarm? I'm gonna hit them in the knocking if I have to!" He would rather have a good sleep if Dy'va didn't snore like a dragon.

Sinnodal was the second one, "Good morning, everyone-" He looked up to see that it was still night and he let out a yawn.

"Oh for fuck sake, we are doing this huh?" He was shaking in exhaustion, at least he was wide awake now before he heard something on his left...

"Indeed."

Sinnodal frail his arm around in surprise, "Holy shit! When did you get here?!" It was Cefie as they somehow appeared beside him.

"I was awakened 2 hours ago, and the time seems to be approximately 4 AM," Cefie informed, his missing arm finally came back as November attached a new one.

"So much for a robot..." Sinnodal muttered under his breath, he wished he didn't need as much sleep as a regular person.

Dy'va was the first one, shirtless and wearing only green track trousers, "Boss is calling for early morning training?"

Behind him was a shirtless Rosco, and two pajamas wearing Toodies and November. They were standing next to Dy'va ready to say the word.

"Fucking mint!"

Dy'va laughed while Rosco just scoffed at him. Toodies was clapping with a smile while November just stared at them.

All of them finally came down to stay in formation line, ready for Sugar's next order.

"Alright! Seem like you guys are in tip-top shape to train!" Sugar proudly stated as he beamed everyone with his smile.

"I feel like you picked the worst time, boss..." Chris angrily glared at Sugar, who just laughed it off.

"Nonsense! Morning is the best way to train your body anyway!" Sugar stated, he knew that it was the truth, his truth more likely.

Cefie raised their hand for permission, "Shoot for it!" Sugar stated, wanting to hear their opinion.

"According to my data, Morning seems to be only best for cardio and nothing more as the human body can't store much energy ever since their 8 hours of sleep," Cefie stated with Sugar tilted his head.

Sugar cleared his throat and decided to ignore the question, "Well, anyways. My 4 beloved employees won't be joining us as I want to train our newly hired more!"

"I am being ignored, Permission to go rogue?"

"Permission denied." November quickly stated before Cefie could do anything rash.

"Also, someone will be joining us in a bit..." Sugar stated as a red portal opened beside him with Lucia arising from it with a book in her hand.

Our four members bow to her first with Sinnodal and Cefie followed after. Chris was a little confused as he scratched his face before Rosco forced him to bow down, a vein popping in his hand.

Lucia closed her book, "Good to see that all of you make it. Now then, let's get down to the situation." She put her hand on her hip.

"As you all know, we are on a quest to get the keys to The Sacred Frontier before Twilight could get their hand on it. Our target is holding onto one of the pieces that open our goal." Lucia stated as she walked in front of them with sand kicking around her shoe.

"That's why we need to train our new hire! Our success rate will go even higher if we train all of you." Sugar looked at Cefie, Sinnodal, and then Chris. He gonna put some force into them if it could succeed all of them.

"Wait, only them?" Chris stated, looking back at The Four Original Members to see that all of them were just watching from the beach house.

"Ah, shit. Alright, I guess we doing then..." Chris rubbed the back of his head, sure he got hired by his boss a little week ago but he didn't know the full extent of him. What was his deal?

Lucia put a hand on Sugar's shoulder, "Don't go too hard on them alright?" She asked gently, extending her hand and opening her palm.

Sugar smiled, "Of course, you know I never broke your promise." Sugar was about to slap her hand before Lucia glared at him.

"Alright fine, here." Sugar put a pair of black gloves in a sealed plastic bag on Lucia's hand which she took away momentarily.

Sugar clapped his hands together with an eager grin as Lucia stepped away from their beachside training group. "Right, time to whip these recruits into tip-top shape!"

He paused at Lucia's stern look and relinquished a sealed plastic bag into her outstretched hand.

"Yes yes, I won't forget the power-dampening gloves this time," he acquiesced. Lucia nodded approvingly before stepping through the portal, ending up in a beach chair.

Sugar turned to the gathered party members plus new hires, rubbing his hands together.

"Now then! Today's training will focus on honing combat skills and team dynamics for our intrepid recruits - Chris, Cefie, and Sinnodal!"

He gestured grandly at the mentioned trio, who shifted nervously. The original four members relaxed in beach chairs nearby to observe.

"So time to see what you rookies are made of!" Sugar grinned, cracking his knuckles.

Chris gulped loudly. "Uh, you sure about this, boss? Maybe we just grab a beer and call it a night-"

"Nonsense!" Sugar waved him off. "What better bonding than a friendly sparring session?"

He rolled his shoulders, sizing them up. "Now who wants to take me on fir-"

He was cut off as Cefie's arm suddenly rocketed off their shoulder straight at his face. Sugar just barely ducked the surprise attack.

"Ohoho~ Bold opening salvo!" he laughed. "But you gotta wake up pretty early to catch me off guard!"

He launched himself forward, feet kicking up sand. "Hope you newcomers are ready for an extreme crash course!"

The original four members relaxed in their beach chairs to enjoy the show. Sparks were sure to fly with this unorthodox teacher.

Dy'va decided to start up a betting war, "Alright, who here thinks is the first person to get their bone cracked by boss?!" He asked to everyone around him.

"Sinnodal." November was the first which caused Dy'va to be a little nervous but worry not! Surely, a single bet doesn't hurt-

"Sinnodal." Rosco was the second, causing Dy'va to sweat now. His best friend and training partners just somehow agreed with the witch?! He must be dreaming or highly drunk right now.

"Sinnodal." Toodies was the last one, causing Dy'va's spirit to puff out of his chest. Everyone was against him now! It doesn't make any sense for them to do this to him!

"Woah, woah, woah! You guys can't just bet on one person like this, especially my student-" Dy'va tries to argue to at least make the bet fair and not against him at all.

"You decided to throw him into the battle without considering any possibility of failure," November stated, wearing her proud smug face.

Dy'va frail his arms around, trying to find a way to argue back, "Yeah, well! I least didn't have to assemble him back like a... Bunch of bolts!"

"It was simply a test run that had gone wrong in some way. Cefie simply can be assembled and become stronger with everything he learned." November's not letting a simple-minded person like Dy'va beat her in this.

"Unfair! I call it unfair!" Dy'va pointed at her angrily while Toodies just giggled at this argument.

"Silly, Dy'va! Robots don't have bones! Silly, Dy'va!" Toodies was munching on the corn of pop as the fight was about to begin.

Chris decided to ask his boss, "Oi, Bugger! What the hell am I dealing with?" He was unsure if this was going to be a sweep or a massacre on his part.

Rosco let out a 'tch' before answering, "If anything, you about to get your ass kicked by someone that's way surpass all of us." Rosco clenched his fist at how many times he failed to beat him, his teacher was simply out of this world.

"He's the Strongest Man of Gaia."
