"Oh, damn…" Sinnodal was sweat-dropped out of sheer nervousness about Rosco's statement.
"Hey, Cefie?" He tapped the robot brain man's shoulder, "You mind if you could even…you know…scan the man that's about to end us all?"
Cefie decided to step forth on the sand and stand about a safe distance between themself and Sugar, "Scanning start…"
Sinnodal and Cefie are taking the threat seriously now. However, Sugar was simply stretching himself with a smirk on his face.
"BULLSHIT!"
A thundering voice rang out through the shoreline. With a giant grin on her face, November lifted her sunglasses to watch the drama that was about to happen.
Chris was grabbing Rosco's collar, "There's no fucking way that our boss could be that strong!" There are 3 of them against 1 of him. If they got defeated by him, maybe pigs would start flying.
"Are you in denial? Because you seem to be lying to yourself." Rosco pushed him away so he could social distance without breathing down each other's neck.
"I AM NOT IN A DAMN DENIAL! I can see through bullshit when I see one!" Chris defends his statement, getting up close again.
"You can't just drop a title like that for him! It's almost like you are his bootlicker!" He poked Rosco's breast, his finger sinking a little.
They stared into each other's eyes, the testosterone aura between both of them was like a bull facing against a red object.
November decided to yell out, "You two should kiss!"
Both of them instantly turn in her direction, "SHUT UP, WOMAN!" Before turning back into their stare
"I ain't no bootlicker," Rosco growled. "I'm just calling it as I see it. That guy's got power rolling off him in waves."
"And I'm telling you there's no way!" Chris shot back. "No one's that strong. You've lost your damn mind if you think he could take all three of us."
Sinnodal and Cefie watched the exchange nervously, unsure how to defuse the situation. Meanwhile, Sugar simply observed with an amused smirk, arms crossed over his broad chest.
"Ahahaha!" November cackled loudly. "Y'all are idiots. Why don't you quit the pissing match and find out if the muscle man over there is telling the truth?"
Rosco and Chris broke their staring match to glance over at Sugar. He raised an eyebrow, daring them to challenge him.
"I ain't fighting him without proof," Chris muttered. "But I ain't calling him boss either."
"Well I sure as hell ain't gonna be the one to throw the first punch," Rosco said. "So what now?"
The group waited in tense silence as Cefie's scan was completed. The robot's eyes flickered for a moment before they let out a confused beep.
"What is it, Cefie?" Sinnodal asked nervously. "What did you find out?"
Cefie whirred and clicked, their robotic voice strained. "Scan complete. No results found."
"What?!" Chris exclaimed. "How can you not find anything?"
Cefie waved their arms in an exaggerated shrug. "Apologies. Unable to detect energy levels or identify abilities from the target." They gestured helplessly at Sugar.
The muscle man grinned, clearly amused at having stumped the robot. "Ohoho! Guess all of ya are going in blind!"
Chris let out a frustrated growl. "See! This is exactly why I said he's full of it! Just some punk trying to impress us with big talk."
Sinnodal shook his head, staring hard at Sugar. "I'm telling you, something ain't right. I can feel the power in this guy. There's no way your scan is accurate, Cefie."
"My scans are 98.7% accurate," Cefie protested. "But I am unable to explain the anomalous results."
"So in other words, you still got nothing," November said, leaning back in her chair. She popped her gum idly. "Back to square one, boys."
"Oh my fucking god, I am telling you he's bullshitting us! There's no way, he could be stronger when we get strength in number-"
"Would you shut up?! You are giving me a migraine for arguing with you."
She was feeling bored as nothing interesting was happening around her. She could have utilized her time by working on her pending paperwork or returning to work at BOE.
Sugar tried to grab her attention by gesturing his hand and calling out, 'Over here!'
He then started a comedic act and concluded it with a prayer, pleading with her to stay and promising that the show would be entertaining.
Lucia heaved a sigh and puffed her cheeks in embarrassment before giving him a thumbs-up. '...Fine'
Sugar beamed at her before dashing toward the group, leaving a golden glitter on the ground.
"I swear to god, I am gonna sew your mouth shut if you keep talking!" Rosco threaten, he was pissed now. All of this time has just been wasted arguing with the recruit.
"Well, that will just make my statement correct! There's no way that he could beat all of us!" Chris's spit was all over Rosco's face, it was crazy how much talking he did.
While Sinnodal is distracted, something appears ducking below him.
Sugar was below him, and the ominous yellow trail appeared on his swing. Everything slowed down as Sinnodal slowly turned back to realize what was happening.
Sugar's arm started to materialize into a golden gauntlet. It was filled with jewelry and circular black steel discs around the arms with a big amber jewel on the front palm.
In a sudden event, a shockwave was heard throughout the shoreline before Sinnodal was sent flying toward a convenient huge rock.
Sinnodal's body slammed against the rock, causing one of them to fall like a domino effect.
Dy'va and Toodies were playing with a sand castle with Dy'va's skeletons helping out before getting destroyed by the rock.
"My skeletons!" Dy'va was distraught about this as he held his head in comedic agony.
Toodies rubbed Dy'va back, "Aleast, the castle is okay…"
Just like a monkeypox, another rock would eventually crush the castle.
"I should have not said anything." The hope in Toodies's eye eventually faded before joining with Dy'va in absolute despair.
Chris and Cefie stood stunned as they watched Sinnodal get sent flying by Sugar's sudden attack. The force of the blow was unlike anything they had witnessed before.
"What...what the hell was that?!" Chris exclaimed, eyes wide. "How could he hit Sinnodal that hard?"
"My sensors did not detect any build-up of energy or indication of that strike," Cefie analyzed calmly, though their voice held an edge of surprise. "It seems the boss can amplify his strength and speed instantly."
The golden gauntlet surrounding Sugar's arm shimmered brightly before fading away just as quickly as it had appeared. He turned to face Chris and Cefie, a smug grin on his face.
"So, training shall now start as per request by Her Majesty." Sugar turns to Lucia's direction before winking at it.
Lucia had a small blush before turning away from him and gesturing her hand to continue.
Chris and Cefie get into a stance, readying for the absolute hell they are about to experience.
"Oi, robo-brain. Can you distract him for a bit? I might help out goat fellow up to help out." Chris suggested, looking at the robot beside him.
Cefie let out a smoke, "I am not cooperating to work with inferior humans, it is in my data that I shall not allow myself to be lower with you." In sheer pity, Cefie shook their head in denial.
November could just let out a scoff, "Cefie, I will make sure your parts for whipping a whale ass if you aren't working each other!" She wasn't gonna let her own servant do their own thing.
"No, fuck you bitch." Cefie slowly lowers all of their fingers instead of the middle, making it very obvious what they are trying to do.
November decided to get up before bonking Cefie, creating a comically large dent in their helmet. It sounded like she was hitting a frying pan.
"Okay, it's time I shall rewrite my program into your command." Cefie let out a thumb up as their head tilted a little, creating a spark on the neck.
Cefie turned around 360 degrees to Sugar as they pointed, "I am coming for you, magic man." Cefie quickly dashed toward him to stall him for a little.
Chris's eyebrow shifts a little, "Jesus, they are such a metal head." Before switching his attention to help out Sinnodal.
Chris hurried over to where Sinnodal lay groaning against the remains of the rock he had crashed into. The impact had clearly done some damage, but the goat man was still conscious.
"Hey, can you stand?" Chris asked gruffly, grabbing one of Sinnodal's arms to help haul him to his feet.
Sinnodal let out a pained bleat but managed to get upright, leaning heavily on Chris. He blinked dizzily for a moment before focusing on his unexpected helper.
"Uh, thanks," Sinnodal said in surprise. He hadn't expected sympathy from the aggressive man who had been arguing fiercely just moments before.
"Don't mention it," Chris muttered, glancing over his shoulder to check on Cefie's distraction efforts. "We gotta stick together if we wanna take down that bastard."
"I am going to make sure your face looks like a carved pumpkin, magic man."
Cefie was currently unleashing a barrage of attacks on Sugar, who dodged or deflected them with ease, laughing all the while.
It succeeded in keeping his attention fixed on Cefie rather than the two men.
"Can you still fight?" Chris asked Sinnodal seriously. "I know you got nailed pretty hard, but we're gonna need all the help we can get."
"Hold on, I feel like he just attacked me from the front and the inside as well…" Sinnodal held his stomach, his rib felt okay for now but it was almost a force assisting Sugar's attack.
Sinnodal rotated his shoulders gingerly, wincing a little but seeming largely intact. "I think so. Just promise me you'll duck next time that golden punk throws a sucker punch."
Chris snorted. "Deal. Now let's go back up robo-brain before they get turned into a scrap heap."
Sugar decided to be bold for a little, "Hey, enjoying the show, Lucy?" He'd wink at her, before dodging the claw gauntlet from Cefie.
Lucia could only roll her eyes, hiding her faint blush. "Just focus on the training, you moronic salesmen."
"Ah, come on! You know you enjoy watching me doing my job!" Sugar stated before putting a foot on Cefie's head and kicking him away.
Cefie decided to stop themselves from even hitting the sand and magically stood up straight, waiting to go for another round.
"Oi, robo-brain!"
A familiar voice yelled out as Chris and Sinnodal ran up and stood beside Cefie.
"Now we ready, you fucker!" Chris and Sinnodal both of them got in a stance, prepared to face the threat in front of them.
Sugar chuckled a little,
"Don't underestimate me, child."
