Ace stood still as he closed his eyes, the beam of light piercing down onto him, covering him in the mystic light. He finally understood what he needed to do, what he would finally do—he would save them all.
His weapons started to crack open, his sword started to show a little bit of white with his shield showing a little bit of blue.
"I've had enough!" Koras declared as he blocked James's attack and dodged another, seizing the opportunity to end this meaningless clash.
"Bombardment Cannon!" Koras punched the air, creating a hot air pressure projectile that knocked James into a nearby wall.
"HARGH!" James struggled to stay conscious but ultimately failed, fainting from exhaustion.
Ezra attempted to shoot a poison arrow to slow Koras down, but it missed as Koras appeared behind him with his back turned, "You sure are an annoying fly." Ezra tried to turn around before Koras grabbed his head and slammed it down to the floor, knocking him out instantly.
Koras breathed in, "Well, Missy, it seems you're the only one left," Koras said as he slowly walked toward Mianne.
"Don't you dare come closer!" Mianne threatened as she prepared to face him head-on, her guardian came out as she got ready to brawl with Koras.
"Oh, please. If your friend couldn't beat me, what can your fireflies do?" Mianne started to walk back; she didn't know if she was bluffing or not.
"Oh, please. Do threaten me with your nonexistent spel—" Before Koras could answer back, he looked at the bright light right in front of him. It started to glow brighter and brighter.
"Gah! Who are you?! Show yourself!" Koras yelled as he covered his eyes from the blinding brightness.
The light began to subside, revealing a figure—Mianne was shocked to see who it was. She started to cry, knowing that everything would be alright now.
"A... ACE!"
She yelled in joy, realizing that he had overcome himself.
A giant pair of four yellow radiant wings emerged from Ace's back; his armor took on an angelic color with a big yellow crystal on his chest. His armor detail formed a line making a diamond shape with an angelic symbol in the middle of it.
His weapons transformed from rusted old dirt into a heavenly great sword, and the sword seemed to be sharper in edges—the pommel adorned with yellow amber crystals, the cross-guard resembling heavenly wings, and the central ridge of the sword displaying a yellow-to-blue gradient.
His shield bore the signature Sigma icon in the middle and had a wing on its side, and he wore a giant halo on his head.
"How? How did you?!" Koras yelled in disbelief. He couldn't believe his eyes. Did Ace just manifest his Reborn form? How? When? Why?
"I will make sure you get the judgment you finally deserve," Ace said coldly as he raised his sword to the sky.
"Judgement."
A sigil appeared below Koras's feet, and a radiant beam started to descend from above, smiting down on Koras. He screamed in pain as he felt his soul being attacked. The attack stopped, and Koras dropped to his knees.
"I won't..." Koras began to clench his fists as rage consumed him, and his fists ignited in flames. He zoomed towards Ace, preparing to launch his attack.
"TURBULENCE OVERDRIVE!" he yelled furiously, swinging at Ace, but somehow his attack was blocked by a flying shield.
"WHAT?!" Koras said in confusion as he saw the shield flying and blocking his attack. The shield then bashed him back into the guard with mighty force before returning to Ace's hands.
"You will not hurt any of them again," Ace stated, which made Koras only laugh.
He looked up to see he was closer to Mianne, "Then catch me if you can, Angel!" Koras rushed toward her and was about to uppercut her. At that moment, Mianne prepared for the impact and closed her eyes.
"Guard Swap,"
Ace muttered, suddenly switching positions with Mianne, causing him to take the hit instead. Koras was confused to see Ace in front of him, not only that, but he didn't even flinch from the punch as he rubbed the blood out of his mouth and smirked.
Mianne realized she was floating as she was about to fall before her guardian caught her before she could hit the floor, "Thanks, Angel." Her guardian seems to place her far away from them.
"No... NO! JOKE'S OVER! YOU'RE GOING TO DIE RIGHT HERE!" Koras said in fury as both of his fists started to blaze with giant wildfire, "NOTHING WILL BE LEFT OF YOU, NOTHING!" Koras declared, getting into a stance with both hands in the same position.
A giant ring of fire surrounded Koras as he placed his right fist down on the ground, transferring its fire into his left fist, creating a massive flame. Ace prepared himself, gripping his sword with both hands.
"LIU STYLE FINAL ARTS: TURBULENCE IGNIS CORE!"
Koras yelled as he pulled back his left fist and zoomed toward Ace with incredible speed.
Ace watched the attack in timing as he prepared himself,
"Heavenly Judgment,"
Ace tightly held his great sword, glowing with a yellow aura.
"True Punishment!"
With that, Ace disappeared instantly, passing right by Koras.
Before Koras could land his ultimate attack on Ace, a heavenly chain wrapped around his neck, "WHAT?!" Koras yelled, looking up to see a barrage of heavenly weapons raining down from above, piercing him one by one. Ace flew into the air as one last weapon descended from above.
"DAMN YOU, ACEEEE!" Koras yelled in defeat as Ace came down at light speed, stabbing Koras in the chest, creating a giant white beam that pierced through the arena's floor. The entire mountain was illuminated by the intense light.
The dust came in like a storm as Mianne shielded her eyes from how bright and dusty the attack could be, "I didn't know Ace could do that..." Mianne couldn't see the aftermath; it was such an intense attack.
The aftermath of the battle between Ace and Koras. Ace emerged victorious as the light beam disappeared.
He looked down at Koras to check if he cleansed the impurity out of him. Koras's body was pierced by all the heavenly weapons that Ace had summoned in his last attack, 'I might have killed him. It doesn't matter then. Huh, I feel like I should've-"
He suddenly felt tired, "Oh, there we go-" Ace lay down on top of his defeated opponent as his form disappeared.
The dust finally cleared as Mianne rubbed her eyes, "Guess, it's over." Mianne realized that everyone needed dire medical attention.
"Oh god! Angel, fly me down there and help me pick up my friends." Her guardian nodded as she quickly grabbed Mianne's shoulder and helped her descend to the arena.
Mianne quickly bolted to James and decided to unpack some stuff from her backpack.
She applied some healing cream and bandages onto him before letting him lay on her back, "God, you guys push your limits..." Angel slowly flew over to Mianne with Ace and Ezra in her hands. Mianne nodded as they decided to leave.
"You did so great, everyone." She smiled, before dragging the men away to safety.
