Chapter 3 - First summoning Creature!

The evening sun rose to its zenith, casting a harsh light on the earth beneath it. However the residents of Takigakure were not effected by this as the sacred tree filtered it out only leaving a soft glow for its inhabitants to enjoy their day.

Kanshuda too was enjoying his day as he strolled the market trying to find where to buy some fishing equipment and some chakra paper. "Hey boss can I get some chakra paper and some fishing bait". Sure kid the shopkeeper replied "that will be 350 Ryu, 300 for the paper and 50 for the bait"

Kanshuda with a slight grimace on his face quickly handed over the money. Even though he had expected it since everything related to ninja's and especially chakra related items are in high demand. His parents were only Chunin and had left him 5000 Ryu when they had died and the subsides he got from the village was barley enough to cover the cost of food and clothes. This made him of course reluctant to part with his money and made him realize something very important; he was broke! He was a poor and incredibly so, if he wanted to do any genetic experiments he would need expensive equipment which he currently did not the money to buy!

As Kanshuda walked out of the shop towards his house he couldn't help but let out a long sigh and look up at the heavens. "In this life and my pervious life the problem is always money, well hopefully I will be able to graduate soon and take on some missions" Or steal some for some rich merchants he thought after all a D rank mission would not be enough to buy advanced scientific equipment and books.

Soon Kanshuda arrived at his house a small wooden cabin on the opposite side of the village far away from the rest of villagers. The interior too wasn't anything extravagant having only a bedroom kitchen and small library in the basement. Yet it was the perfect place for Kanshuda as he wasn't planning to spend much time in it anyway and did not want to garner attention. Moreover it had access to the lack which would make it easier for him to catch fish and other water born creatures to experiment with and use as summons.

Quickly Kanshuda walked to the back of his house which faced the lake and pulled out the chakra testing paper. he began to pour his chakra into it and quickly one half it soaked while the other crumbled into rocks. Well it seems I have an affinity for water which is common in Takigakure and rock which is unexpected. Well I'll think about this later first lets catch some fish!

Kanshuda threw serval pieces of meat and bread into the water and waited in anticipation. One minute passed than ten minutes passed and nothing happened. Still this didn't discourage Kanshuda but made him even more eager to see what would be his first contracted summoning beast. Kanshuda doesn't remember how long he had waited their when he spotted a small white salamander like creature. With a long tail and branch like appendages growing from its head.

It was Axolotl! Kanshuda almost jumped in joy from seeing this little creature. After all it should be known that not only can these amphibians regrow any part of their body within a few weeks after they receives fatal wounds. But they can walk on land and water! Meaning Kanshuda would not have to worry about not being able to use his summoning in battle.

Furthermore the branch like protrusions on its head are actually its gills which filter out the water so it can breathe, perhaps in the future he could make it immune to poison! This creature just has so much potential to be explored and Kanshuda would make sure he does just that! But first he must tame it, slowly as it began to eat more and more Kanshuda threw bread in its direction so it would come closer to it. Eventually he could almost touch it! He opened the palm of his hand containing the last of the bread gave it to it and said . "Hey buddy do you want to become my friend I'll make sure you never starve and feed you chakra so you can become the strongest creature alive."

Although it might seem dumb to talk to the creature all animals in the Naruto world had some chakra making them more intelligent than normal animals. One day if he fed and trained it well it might be even able to speak to him! At seemed a bit hesitant at first but then thought at the food and nodded his head.

With its agree Kanshuda proceeded to pull out a scroll and dripped some of his blood onto it he passed it to the axolotl and it did the same. And with that Kanshuda had acquired his first summoning creature as well as his first companion.
