The man walks out of the hallway, dressed in an all black long jacketwith a hood, hiding his face, suddenly front counter the receptionist yells,
"L- LEGEND RANK! A NEW LEGEND RANK HAS AWAKENED! "
Instantly people began flocking towards the person dressed in the long black jacket, fawning over them, and just trying to get a peek of who they are.
"Ah, that's right, no matter what I do. I'll never be seen. There's always somebody better."
Max turned around and walked put of the Heroes Lounge,
"Next stop, a Fracture."
Max wonders for a few seconds then stops,
"Where would I even find a Fracture, it's not like they just appear out of thin air."
As if the universe heard what Max said, just down the street from where he was standing reality began to bend and contort, and started to fracture, cars on the street come to a screeching stop, Skrrrrrrt, The civilians get out of their car and call the Heroes Association.
"Would you look at that.. What a coincidence." Max began walking towards the fracture, preparing himself for the dangers to come.
The president of the Heroes Association, John Gunner, an old man, with large muscles, and a white beard sits back in his chair, loosening his black tie. When a female assistant comes into his office,
"What is it, Miss Dianna?"
"A Fracture has spawned in the middle of the city."
"So what? They spawn all the time. Get rid of it."
"Well, the radar says.. Its Sub-B Rank.."
"WHAT!?" John sits up in his chair.
"A Sub-B Rank Fracture in the middle of the city? How preposterous.."
"Gather the Reconnaissance Team."
Max approaches the Fracture, looking up at its the swirling gate-like appearance, the ominous blue glow it gives off, and the small humming sound it lets out,
"I don't know what rank this is, but what's the worst that can happen?"
Max enters the gate as onlookers watch, as he enters the gate police arrive to the scene to clear the crowd and condemn the area.
Max arrives on the other side of the gate and as his eyes adjust it reveals an abandoned Throne room. Several giant white crumbling pillars stand talll over a long red carpet that is tattered and ripped. The walls of the room are falling apart, big holes in the wall allow the moonlight to pierce the hole and shine in, and the sky has turned a slight red. 4 stone statues of a Warrior, a Mage, an Archer, and A Priest, stand before the Throne kneeling. And a black statue is sitting on the Throne itself.
Max begins to walk into the unkempt Throne room and look around,
"Woah..So this is a Fracture? I thought it would be like a cave or something, but I'd never expect something like this."
Max begins to approach the four status, and suddenly a floating screen pops up.
"Woah!" Max is startled.
"That scared me.." Max realizes that it's just a screen and it says,
[Quest!]
[Dear hero, if you're reading this, the king has perished. However, he and his 4 loyal servants souls have yet to move on from this abandoned kingdom. Please free their bound souls so that they may see the afterlife.]
The Statues begin to crumble, and their true bodies begin to be revealed. Max notices the Statues crumbling and begins to put his guard up.
[Quest: Kill the King.]
The Statues fully crumple and their true bodies are revealed, the armored warrior, the dark robe wearing Mage, the female Archer, and the priest in his holy clothes. All stand before Max. However, the king statue has not yet crumbled and is emitting a dark aura.
All 4 of the entities emit a heavy pressure and deadly killing aura, which Max feels and responds to by dashing backwards.
"That's some serious killing intent.." Max begins to sweat, once again the screen pops up, this time in red.
[WARNING! WARNING!]
[Enemy Rank too high! Please exit Fracture, or you will die.] The screen seemed to emit an alarm sound.
"Tch. This is my first Fracture, I'm not leaving untill I beat it."
The screen disappears and Max uses his skill {Void Weilder} and shapes the blob into a bow, he forms a quiver and a few arrows and draws his bow.
"I learnt this while hunting for boar this morning."
"I can form up to 12 things with this skill, but the proficiency of the skill is low so this is all I can do for now." He thought.
The knight takes its sword from the ground and dashes at Max instantly appearing in his face, raising his sword to quickly slice at Max's face.
"What's taking them so long?" John said, getting more impatient by the second.
"Have the shut down the city?"
"Yes sir. An alert has been released, warning civilians to stay inside."
"Good, where is the Reconnaissance Team?"
"They will be arriving in 9 minutes."
"9 MINUTES? You might as well deem the city dead."
Diana stays silent.
"Tell them to hurry up, double time."
"Yes sir." Diana leaves the room.
John leans back into his chair and puts his hand on his face, letting out a long sigh.
"I hope this will be resolved."
Max gets thrown to a wall coughing up blood, but quickly reacting to the next punch which shatters the wall. Max jumps backwards to regain his balence, Max who begins to bleed from his head, lands a few feet from the knight.
"I know I said I wasn't leaving, but they are ridiculously strong, the knight is the main damage dealer, he is the one who attacks me from the forefront. The Mage and the Archer deal damage from the back, and whenever I even get one punch off of the knight, the priest heals him." Max thought while dodging punches, arrows and balls of lightning.
"What should I do?"
"Oh! There's that I haven't tried yet, I don't know what it does, but I'll try anything!"
