Diana bursts into the presidents office.
"What is it now?"
"The vehicle transporting the Historic ranked Heroes has crashed!"
"WHAT?!" John shouts as he gets up from his chair.
"Eye witnesses say that a mysterious man dressed in an all black cloak came in and slashed The Falcons tires."
A/N: The Falcon is the name of a ground vehicle which has the head of a falcon and can travel at speeds of 250 Mph.
"Ugh. First they arrive late now this."
"Screw it I'll do it myself." John said walking towards the door.
"Sir are you sure you want to do this. You know what happened last time."
"I don't care. Move." He said giving her a deathly stare while his eyes glow orange.
"As you wish." Diana said, moving to the side to let him out of his office.
John walks into hall way of the HHQ (Heroes HeadQuaters) and the hall is filled with employees with clipboards, employees talking and moving very fast to get to their destination. John walks into the hall, his presence clears a path, An employee comes up to John and asks,
"Sir, are you going to the fracture yourself?"
"Yes."
"How long will you be?"
"12 minutes."
"I will put that in." The employee breaks off and walks away.
Max uses his skill {Hunters Authority} and a great pressure fills the Throne room. The knight stops and struggles to stand up right, along with the Archer, Mage and priest. Max smiles,
"Great, this is my chance!"
He begins to sprint towards the King statue, and just as he draws his bow back to kill the king, a big explosion occurs that sends him flying backwards, crashing back down.
"What's going on..?"
The king statue stands up and Max's skill deactivates. The screen pops up once more.
[WARNING! WARNING! THE KING HAS ARISEN.]
The king stretches its hand out and the soul of the knight, gets sucked out of its body and into the kings hand,the armor falls apart and the head piece rolls to Max's foot.
"What..?"
One by one the souls of the warriors seemed to get sucked out of their bodies, and into the kings hand, with each soul the king takes, his aura seemed to get stronger and stronger.
"Why... why is this happening?"
Max stands up and begins to sweat. He prepares to fight,switching the blob from a bow to a long sword. Immediately the king reacts and seemingly teleports infront of Max,
"So fast!"
The king slams Max into the ground, shattering the ground, it begins to pummel him, causing the ground to break more and more. Then grabs him and throws him to the roof, Max hits the roof and begins to peel off. Seemingly unconscious, Max falls to the ground, just before he hit the ground, his skill {Super Adaption} Auto activates.
Super Adaption(High) - When faced with an seemingly impossible task or foe, the user will temporarily be able to think and react faster than their foe, and be able to see what the human eye cannot.
Max lands on the ground, and wakes up.
"I'm not dead yet."
"I will fight.. untill I die!"
Max looks at the statue, and the statue stares back it begins to running at Max but Max feels something is different.
"Hm? Isn't this a little..?"
Max dodges the kings punch.
"Slow?"
Max counters the kings punch by using {Void Weilder}, shifting it into a short dagger, and stabbing the statue. Max jumps back and the statue stands in its place, looking at the wound, the wound crumbles more and more and the king looks at Max and the statue fully crumbles, revealing a dark shadow like figure of the statue, a name appears over its head,
"King of the Shadows - Oswald Quint"
Oswald raises his hand once again, and the shadows begin to rise from the ground.
"Great more people."
Max begins to fight the army of shadows and slowly begins to mow through them, making his way to the king.
"All I have to do is kill the king.."
He continues to mow through the shadows and he reaches the king once more. Thrusting his dagger at the kings face, but his dagger is interrupted by a sword and he is swiped away back into the crowd. The knight from before appears and his appearance is a shadow like.
"That guy again." Max begins to get irritated.
Max fights through the crows once more and begins to adapt more and more he then sees multiple red lines.
"Is that..?" Max begins to follow the line with his dagger and slices a warriors neck.
"So it is. The Kill Line."
"I've only read about it, but it is once a person fights enough opponents they begin to see red likes that are the quickest way to kill an opponent. But i haven't killed nearly enough shadows.. it must be the Super Adaption."
Max begins to kill the knights more effectively and their numbers start to deplete rapidly, shadow after shadow max kills them under the bright moon. Max grows tired, and by the time he has finished off the last shadow he is exhausted all of his strength.
Haa.. Haa.. "I've finally killed the last of you, now, it's time for you to die..King." Max points his dagger at the king, and the knight steps forward and draws his sword to Max.
"Crap."
Max and the knight begin to clash, sparks fly and their swords swing, Clank! Cling! Max and the knight fight fiercely. Max gets cut and jumps back. Only found rush back into the fight.
"I can't hold out for much longer, I kust end this now." Max thought while clashing sqords with the Knight.
Max jumps back and throws his dagger at the knight and the knight deflects it, making it fly away, Max comes from below,
"Gotcha."
Max tries to swipe at the knights neck but the knight dodges and kick Max away.
Max recovers and tenses up.
"Forget strategies. I'll just go all out."
Max dashes atthe knight once more, the knight begins to counter but Max uses his skill {Hunters Authority} and stops the knight from swinging, Max cuts the hea off the knight and charges at the king.
Max swipes at the kings neck..
