Chapter 2 - The Destiny

The air was pierced by a voice calling out, "Drago! Wait for me."

Intrigued, he turned around to see Amber — a lively girl with bangs framing her face and strikingly pretty eyes, his cherished childhood friend. As they walked home together, a mysterious figure lurked in the shadows, following their every path. Drago noticed and turned around, but each time he did, there was nothing to be seen. The enigmatic pursuit continued, casting a lingering sense of unease over their journey.

Upon reaching Amber's house, they exchanged goodbyes. However, as Drago walked home, an unsettling feeling of dread enveloped him. Consumed by worry for Amber, he hurried back to her house. Standing before the front door, the uneasiness intensified. He hesitantly knocked, but there was no response. He frantically called out to Amber which yielded no result. With trembling hands, he resorted to knocking the door down. The door get knocked as loud crash echo through the silence .

Glancing at the stairs, Drago sensed a dark presence lingering at the gate. Despite the fear, he mustered the courage to ascend, screaming Amber's name in desperate urgency. What Drago witnessed shook him to his core. A tall figure, enveloped in dark clouds with glowing red eyes, slowly turned its head towards him. Amber was held by the throat in the air by the figure and In a chilling and ominous tone, it spoke, "You're finally here!"

Drago, terror-stricken, screamed, "Let her go!"

He was met with silence.

"Who are you? Why are you doing this?"

The dark figure replied in a sinister voice, "Sacrifices are needed to revive our dark lord. We've been waiting for decades, and the time for our ominous reunion has come."

Drago responded, confused, "Sacrifice? Dark lord? Are you fucking kidding me? We've got nothing to do with any of those"

The figure remained ominously silent as it turned towards Drago. A twisted grin crept across its face, producing a sickening crack that echoed through the room.

A heavy silence hung in the air as Amber's lifeless body slumped onto the floor.

Drago's mouth hung agape in a soundless scream. He dropped to his knees, stunned. A surge of rage flooded Drago's mind as his body gets consumed by a red cloud.

The dark figure chuckled, exclaiming, "Yes…yes! The dark lord is rising."

Drago glared at the ominous figure, his vision glitching between the image of a dragon and reality in a disorienting dance. His rage took over, voices in his head chanting,

"Kill, KILL, KILL!"

Drago rose to his feet and he advanced slowly towards the dark figure. The figure, puzzled, met Drago's gaze just as a deafening boom echoed. The dark figure was blown backward, slamming into the wall, leaving a crack. Confused and disoriented, it struggled to comprehend the sudden turn of events. Turning to face Drago, it found him vanished in a flash, only to reappear right in front.

"Argh!"

The dark figure screamed as it hurtled into the ceiling from what seems to be the impact of a powerful uppercut.

The dark figure, filled with fear, pleaded, "Dark lord, it's me. I brought you back. Please, don't kill me," The desperation in its voice echoed through the tense atmosphere.

Grinning, Drago's voice took on a dark tone as he said, "You think I give two shit about who brought me back? I've been stuck in this vessel for years, craving blood. And you? You're just my warm-up."

With a sudden poof, the dark figure was blown into bits.

Drago shifted his gaze to Amber's lifeless body and callously remarked, "Ah, dinner."

As Drago approached Amber's lifeless body, a sudden burst of wind violently slammed him into the wall, shattering it and propelling him out of the house. Staggering to his feet, he looked up at the hole in the wall to find a man with a white cape and armor adorned with a dragon crest on his chest.

The man peered down and declared, "It's time to drift back into the abyss, Diaval. Your days of terrorizing people are over."

He leaped towards Diaval, who was in control of Drago's body, adeptly dodged. The impact of the man's attack left a crater in the ground. Dival leaped towards the man, throwing a punch, but a wing materialized to block the attack. Stepping back to reassess, he noticed a mini dragon perched on the man's shoulder. Suddenly, it transformed into an arm gauntlet with a blade.

The man declared, "Time to get serious."

Both parties engaged in a fierce hand-to-hand combat, each strike triggering explosions and wreaking havoc on the surroundings. In the distance, two mysterious girls observed with one of them giving a disdainful remark,

"Hmph, he's so stupid. Always causing unnecessary damage."

The other girl responded with a soothing voice, "Big sister, it's okay for him to go all out on Diaval."

The intense battle persisted, and when Diaval gained the upper hand, he seized the man by the neck, mocking, "Is that all you've got?"

In the midst of a dark void, lies Drago unconscious. A familiar voice cut through the chaos, "Dra–" Growing louder, it became clear, "Drago!!!" desperately reaching out to him. Slowly, Dragos opened his eyes to find Amber standing in front of him. The disbelief washed over him; Amber had died just moments ago.

Dragos cried out, "Amber! I'm so sorry… I couldn't protect you in the end… even though I promised to…"

Amber responded, "Everything is going to be okay. It's not your fault."

Drago only sobbed, keeping his head down, unable to look at her in the eyes. He felt his heart clench painfully, as if a thousand needles were pricking at it. He felt sick to his stomach, as if it was dropping from heaven to hell.

Amber moved into his view and cupped his cheeks, lifting him to face her."Don't cry, Drago," she spoke in a gentle manner, "I don't blame you at all. But It's time for you to go…"

Drago replied, "I don't care about anything! All I care about is you, and now that you're gone…there's nothing to live for."

Amber smiled, "Listen to me, Drago. You have to wake up and take control…otherwise this world will perish."

Drago screamed, "I can't and I won't accept it. I'm in love with you, Amber, and it's been going on since we first met. I don't want to lose you."

Ambers smiles as she slowly disappear whispering, "I love you too."
