Axel
The Drakon grappled me and in no time, I time, I felt his feet crush my back. I coughed, stamping my palm on the ground to signify my surrender.
Getting off me, she stretched out a hand to help me off the ground. I might be considered one of the best lycan alive, considering that I am but an 18 year old boy, but in front of this Drakon, I am nothing. After all, he is the Drakon, leader of the Perdu.
"What will you do if you cannot control space and dimensions in a fight? He asked me. "You may be the lycan pince, but no one cares about that in a war. If you cannot use all at your disposal to your advantage, you'll be dead Axel." I nod my head knowing that he is right.
"Again!". Immediately I got into position. With one hand, it will not be easy to win a fight. But the Drakon has been training me and some other lycans since we were young. The lack of an extra limb might make me unable to win against a strong warrior, but I am definitely more than capable of winning against a lycan, a level above me.
After some more hours of training, the Drakon finally releases me to go back to my tent. Yes, my tent. We're currently in some barren land miles and miles away from my pack, or any other pack at all. We've been here for about a month now. I lay in my tent trying to catch as much sleep as I could knowing that we could be leaving here tomorrow into another distant land.
Wherever the Drakon says go, we go.
I'm not in my tent anymore. I know that because I'm now standing in a forest. I can feel the cool mist around me, and the smell of nature, so familiar to me.
"Hello Axel." I hear from behind me. I swiftly turned around, ready to defend myself, and attack, if need be.
"Oh, do not feel so threatened, I am not here for a fight. I am not going to harm you. Well, not like I can in this circumstances anyways" said the woman.
"Who are you", I asked. "Where am I". It's impossible to believe that I was kidnapped under the watchful eyes of the Perdu, led by the Drakon. And what's more impossible is that I was kidnapped without a fight!
"I am Helen, the leader of the witches." There are many kinds of witches, some don't move along with others. However, she did not tell what kind she was, and I have a feeling she would not tell. During introductions, it is courtsey of every race to tell which tribe they belong to.
"How did I get here and what kind of a witch are you?", I asked her. " Well...", she said in a drawing manner, "Technically, I brought you here, but do not worry, you are still Bahasa, in you little tent". she replied with a smirk on her face. "What do you mean", I asked her.
"This is your dream. You're still lying in your tent. however, I need to speak to you, so I had no choice but to visit you this way.", she said seriously. Now I understood what was going on, but that did not mean that I trusted her, so I asked, "what do you want?"
"I need you to willingly give up your gift." She said, and her reply left me stunned for a moment. "What do you mean by that", I asked her. "Your gift should have never been so. The power to traverse between universe has never been excercised by any other race than the witches. It was never suppose to happen. And for this, you must give it up!", was her reply.
" No." I said.
"What do you mean by no?" she continued "You the Persu have always claimed to want world peace. Interfering in businesses that is not yours. Now, you have the chance to avoid any trouble that is going to come by and you say no?"
"No. I am a Perdu, and our order is not to sacrifice good for evil. I was given the gift of spatiokinesis and I would not give it up for any reason." "If you think it's wrong, complain to the gods. They'll take it away."
Yes. I have the gift of traversing through dimensions and manipulating space. One that has never been found in a lycan.
She snarled, and my twisted mind finds pleasure from her frustration. She knows that the gods will never take away what has been given. They never make mistakes, will never admit to any. So even if my gift was a mistake, it will always remain mine.
"This is my only offer to you lycan. Give up your gift, or you'll face the repercussion, and I promise you, it won't be nice." She said, her face so blackened with obvious anger.
"Repercussion? This prince has nothing to lose, witch!" I said in the same spitting tone as hers. "You know fully well what we're capable of". I think this is one of the reasons she has refused to tell which coven she belongs to. She knows that if we know her identity, we will come after her. And no coven can take on the wrath of the Lycans and the Perdu.
She gave a sinister smile, one that sent chills down my spine. "Double double curse and trouble, velox videbis eam" she chanted, her voice, sounding like the echo of a hundred voice, her eyes red and shinning with wickedness so obvious.
"Get the fuck out of my dream!" I scream at her. I feel a force pulling her out, but before it completely sucked her out, I heard it, her voice almost inaudible, "cum videris eam, morietur". Those words sent a shiver down my spine.
Instantly, I wake up, gasping for air and I am relieved to find myself back in my tent. The scent of the forset, long gone.
I know that I can no longer get any sleep, so I go outside. Sitting on a huge rock is the Drakon. Before i can move any closer, I heard him, "Common on" he said, tapping his palm against the rock surface. I went forward and sat down beside him. "What's up? Can't get any sleep?" he asked.
"I saw a woman, said her name is Helen. She is a witch, but refuses to tell her coven." I said to him. "Saw her where?" Said the Drakon, sensing his surrounding. "In my dream." I replied him.
"A witch came to your dream? Now this isn't any usual fit. It takes an amount of power to invade into the deam of someone as strong as you. What did she want?"
"She told me to voluntarily give up my gift. That it was not supposed to be mine in the first place." I told him "I refused and she made some incantation. Not sure what they mean tho, something in the lines of "Double double curse and trouble, velox videbis eam". What does it mean?"
"Common, let's check the library, there should be something about it there". He said as he stood up. The Perdu library is not like any other library. It contains books and scrolls of what the Perdu has picked up over the course of history.
Stretching out his hand, a bulb of crystal rose out, it opened a vortex which we entered. We appeared in a dessert like place. This is where the library is located. No one knows where this dessert is located. Only that the Drakon has the key to its location and only him can open the library. He walked to a lower ground with symbols engraved in it. Bringing out the crystal again, he inserted it into the key like hole in the middle of the drawing. A bright light shun and the ground opened.
We climbed down the stairs and there it was, rows and columns of books. The
Drakon walked to a section, stretching out his hand, his eyes closed and repeating the same chant " velox videbis eam". A book flew out of a shelf and dropped on his hand, its page flipping until it stopped at a page. I came closer as we read the book and I saw it, the meaning we were looking for.
"QUICK YOU SHALL SEE HER", it read.
"Quick you shall see her?" what does that mean I asked?
"I don't know" replied the Drakon. "It seems like you stopped her from completing what she wanted to say", he said.
"Come on, let's get out of here. We wouldn't know what she means unless something happens".
