I heard hurried footsteps outside my door. Suddenly, my door was barged open. Something that should never have happened to an Alpha's door, except something horrible happens.
"Alpha, a report just came in. Another alpha has been taken.
I looked up from my computer as I asked, "how did that happen"
"According to them, the Alpha had been stressed out with the disappearances going on. He hadn't gone out for a run in weeks. His wolf was restless and then he decided to go for a run. Funny thing is, he went along with some of his warriors. After not coming back for some hours, the luna realised something was wrong. They went out searching for the alpha and found his guards, on the ground, asleep.", my beta, Collins narrated.
"This is getting more serious. It's either whoever those people are are getting more powerful, or they are more confident." I said, leaning back to my chair.
"Why were his guards asleep?" "The Crimson pack didn't tell, Alpha." Collins replied me. "What do we do now Alpha?"
"It's time we up our game." I said. "Go make arrangements, were going to Crimson pack tomorrow."
"Yes, Alpha." Athough Collins was surprised because this is the first time that I am going personally to the pack, but he did not say anything.

I wake up to another normal day in my life.
I feel the same burst of nature that I am now used to. I feel it whenever I wake up. It's so natural to me. I take in a breadth of air before I block everything out.
Nothing feels different tho. Absolutely nothing. Nothing special is happening in my pack, so I feel the same as yesterday. It's been the summer season for a while now. I can feel the flowers blooming, although not as much as it does in spring.
I have to report to the beta's office in two hours to report for my day's duty. I have been working as the parks land cordinator for as long I can remember. As fancy as the name sounds, my job is nothing more that to make sure that the pack's land is the best all year long. Suitable for training, deviation of natural disasters and protection from rogues and enemy packs.
I moved to here three years ago after I rejected my mate two days after finding him.
My rejected mate's name is Andrew. He is the current alpha of the MoonStone pack. As expected, he hates as much as his family does. He considers me his badluck in life. I exposed the infidelity of his father. Exposed the fact that he had a mistress outside and that she was even pregnant with a pup for him. I brought about shame and disgrace unto their family. Caused his mother shame and she became the laughing stock amongst the shewolfs.
And most annoyingly, I gave him a competitor. If I had not exposed the existence of his step brother, they would have been able to take care of the situation better. And his position as alpha would have remained unshakable. However, my actions made the world know the truth, giving the boy and equal ground for the Alpha's position.
I can understand his pain as it took him a lot of effort to finally get that position. But that doesn't mean I support it. I didn't tell his father to be a cheating bastard, did I?
After my parents technically abandoned me, as they were no longer taking care of my needs as their child. They only provided for my basic needs and food. I had food, shelter and clothing. But if I wanted anything out of the basic survival needs, I have to get them myself.
So, when I met her, Laurel, my teacher, that opportunity presented itself a great escape to me. I went away with her, from pack to pack, lands to lands, sometimes and miles away from my pack, but no one seems to notice anything. They weren't aware of when I am around, or away.
I came back again once three years ago. Two whole years after my eighteenth birthday. Eighteen is our age of maturity, when we are finally considered adults. And also the age we get out wolf.
From the moment I turned eighteen and shifted, it wasn't until my twentieth that I found my mate.
He was happy at first until he realises who I am. The rate at which his facial expression changed was unimaginable,even as much as he tried to control mate pull on him
"You! How can it be you?" he hollered in anger.
"Well, seems like the moon goddesses thinks we're a great match", I said sarcastically in response.
"Ha! You don't deserve me. You are nothing but a worthless piece wherever you go and you know it." he said as he continued, "Tell me why I should accept you as my luna? You're a psycho Eleni, and you ruined my life."
"Considering that your life seems to be going really well now, I don't think your life was ever ruined Andrew. And quit with the insults. I refused to stand here and be insulted by you." I said, walking away in anger and the heartache that comes from the mate pull.
Two days later, I felt an excruciating pain all over my body. Then, the childish ass called me over to the pack house. I met him in his room, all over my sister, having the time of their life.
He slept with my sister. My mate, slept with my sister.
Then I knew the reason for the pain I was feeling. Closing my eyes tight, I opened it again and said aloud, " Alpha Andrew Killian of the Moonstone pack, I Eleni Vlahos reject you as my mate!
The pain from my rejection overcame us both. Well, he was also shocked. He did not believe that someone in their right senses could reject an alpha.
My sister jumped right out of the bed, dragging the bed cover to shield her naked glory.
The shock of learning that Andrew was my mate was obvious on her face, bright as a day. So I knew, she wasn't aware.
"You can't do this. You can't reject me.", Andrew shouted as I walked out, directly out of the pack house.
An annoying month and half later, of having the issue of me rejecting the alpha almost drowning me and hearing about how I am the dome of the pack, my sister brought a big surprise.
Yay! she was pregnant with the alpha's child. This news brought joy to the whole pack and the alpha. I find this hypocritical since I was almost crucified for rejecting the alpha, but who's gonna complain.
The happiest of them all was my parents. One wouldn't know that their precious daughter is pregnant with the child of her elder sister's mate. Oh, how amusing.
So, I left. I couldn't stand seeing my sister and my mate together, getting married, giving birth. No, it was too painful. As much as I hated Andrew, he was still mate.
So, I went to my best friend's back, Suzanne. She was married into the Crescent moon pack. She found her mate, Hanson, the Alpha of the bloodlust pack, some years back while the MoonStone and bloodlust's pack were allies in a war.
