Fil looked up at Jackson, catching sight of the proud smile plastered on his face. Ever since they came home, the two of them had been cuddling in the living area. They hadn't even changed, as if that didn't matter to them.
"I'm free, Jack," she expressed quietly with a touch of relief. "They won't bother me anymore."
Saying those words for the umpteenth time still gave her this sense of exhilaration. Months ago, she realized Marianne had more plans than just being the third party. The more she thought about that, the more she was convinced of Marianne's wicked plans.
