Christina awoke as the sun's rays sharpened in the midday. She stretched her arms, her gaze sweeping the room as she slowly recalled the events of the previous night. A sigh slipped from her lips as she realized that Reylan had carried her to their room. At least she hadn't been awake! She thought, feeling grateful for the wine that had lulled her into a deep sleep.
Grabbing her phone from the nightstand, she glanced at the time and nearly jumped in shock. It was already past eleven and she was still in bed? Fortunately, they had the day off, providing her with the perfect opportunity to relax.
With a smile, she sank back into the bed, spending a few more minutes scrolling through her phone before deciding to start her day.
