Chapter 44 - Sending Out The Bait

Half an hour quickly passed by, and the familiar yellow taxi was once again back on the main road. 

Seeing that no one was following behind them, the tension on Rob's face finally dissipated. 

"...So, is this it?"

With a light sigh, he then directed a question at the crazy boss resting with his eyes closed on his car's backseat – who only responded with a questioning hum.

"Hmm?"

"No, I mean, you already got the money. All that's remaining is to disappear from everyone's radar, and you can start a new life somewhere else... Isn't that why you did all this?"

Damien's eyes slightly cracked open, frowningly giving him a distasteful look as he replied in a mocking tone.

"You're talking about retirement? With just around half a million plus a small chump change to my name? Do I look like an idiot to you, or are you mistaking your own reflection in the mirror as me?"

"Huh?"
