*Clink* *Clink–!*

The subtle noise of tableware being moved around echoed loudly amidst the awkward silence of the Alden household's breakfast table.

On one side of it, Sierra was quietly digging into a beautifully made sandwich with a faint blush on her face, as her mother stared at the young man sitting on the opposite side of the table with her eyes narrowed. 

...Thankfully though, Julia didn't make the stare too obvious for her daughter to take notice. 

Instead, she directed all of her furious intent solely toward the shameless guy enjoying his meal next to her—

"Ahh, everything is so delicious! I get more and more amazed every day at the cooking skills of my mother-in-law!"

—Who, despite noticing her furious gaze, still dared to ignore her while still continuing with his shameless antics – under the same freaking table they were all dining on!

And he still had the gall to praise her cooking on top of that!

"Ouh–!"
